Hero Arts Winter 2020 Catalog Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome!

Today we are celebrating the launch of the Winter 2020 Catalog Release in the Hero Arts store with a fun inspirational Blog Hop. As of today, you can see and get all the new fabulous Winter products at the HA store. Very exciting! Check it out:

Winter Catalog 2020

As part of this hop, I created two cards. For the first card, I used the Color Layering Gingerbread House Combo. This combo includes a stamp set and matching frame cuts. The color layering stamp sets are a lot of fun to play with and the Misti Mini Hero Black or the Misti Regular Black are a great help when using this kind of stamps.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

So, I created a plaid background and then, I adhered this panel over a folded card. Next, I stamped the cute gingerbread house using different colors of ink. Additionally, I stamped the small images and I die cut all the images.

I continued to stamp the sentiment over a white cardstock square and I adhered it over the card with foam tape. I adhered the house and other tiny images also with foam tape to add dimension. Last but not least, I finish off this card with some enamel dots and some Glaze details.

The second card features the Fawn and Friends Combo and I paired it with a sentiment from a set called Comfort and Joy Messages.

This time I created a subtle background over a white panel. I adhered this panel onto a folded card . I also used the Staircase Fancy Die to be part of the background for the cute friends there. The doggie and kitty were simply stamped with black ink, colored with watercolors and die cut with their matching frame cuts.

I complemented the card with a sentiment an some gifts images also included in the Comfort and Joy Messages set. I colored those too and I finish off my card with some Glaze details and some enamel dots.

Oh What Fun Catalog Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome! Today I am happy to be part of the Hero Arts...

Hero is celebrating the release of the new Oh What Fun Catalog that includes many new products that I am sure you would like to have for the upcoming Holiday season. Please be sure to visit the Hero Arts shop so you can see them and start making your wish list!

So, I created a card using a few products included in the catalog. This time, I used my Misti to stamp the Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints over white cardstock. I started by inking the central area of the stamp with Soft Sky shadow ink, then I added Dusty Blue and Cornflower Shadow Inks towards the edges, to obtain an ombré effect. I repeated this until I got the stamped results I was looking for.

Next, I used the Joy Stamp & Cut set to stamp the large word with Light to Red Royal Ombré ink and the complementary words with Intense Black Ink.

I adhered the panel over a blue folded card, I added Journey Glaze over the word Joy, and I embellished the card with Silver Twine and some clear dots.

My second project were a couple of simple tags, that you see below:

I die cut the tags using the Tag Infinity Dies from light blue cardstock then, I die cut the Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies from white cardstock. I adhered those pieces to the lower part of the tags, and I stamped a sentiments “To: and From:” from the Christmas Messages stamp set with Intense Black Ink. I also stamped a bow from the Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut set using Pale Tomato shadow Ink and Strawberry Bold Ink. Of course, at the end I added some tiny gemstones, Sparkle Silk and red bakers twine.

As part of this blog hop, Hero Arts will giveaway $50 gift cards to the Hero Arts shop to two lucky winners drawn from all comments left across the hop. Comment by August 31 at 11:59 PST. Winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

FSJ • Monsters Layout

Happy Friday, friends! I am back to share a page that I created of my little furry Shelby.  Shelby loves new toys, and  I loved the little stuffed purple monster we got for her.  She plays gently with them in the beginning until she ends up making a hole and taking out the white stuffing, little by little. We always find white balls all over the house… so before that happened to this cute monster, I had to take a picture of my Shelby with it.

102218web_monsters

I made the background of this page the same way I made the background of the card I recently posted. I placed the Polka Dot Stencil over a 12 x 12 Whip Cream cardstock. Then, I inked the small dauber directly onto the ink pad, and I tapped it over the stencil in two or three of the stencil  holes. That is why the circle marks look uneven… I love how they look. I used the Chevron and Heart Wall stencils over two different colors of cardstock to create  a couple of rectangles that were used behind the picture.

102218web_monsters2

The long Cocoa Powder cardstock banner was made with the Tiny Dots embossing folder and inked with Whip Cream pigment ink.  I added some border details using the new Border Essentials and Pocket Trims die sets. I thought the image included in the Eyes On You stamp set was just perfect to include it in this page. So I stamped the image with Black Licorice ink and then, I colored it with Journey Burst Color Pencils using colors similar to Shelby’s monster.

102218web_monsters3

For the title I used the Marquee type and its matching die set.    I added a few buttons and some of the Monster Eyes stickers. Of course I had to include some sequins, a tiny wooden heart, a heart shaped clip,  and at the end I decided to add some sticthes. I still have to include the journaling, but that one it will be done later with my computer and printer.

FSJ • Best Wishes

I have to confess something about Fun Stampers Liquid Colors… They are one of my favorite products to create fun and unique backgrounds! Recently, five new fabulous colors were added to the already wonderful collection. 070218web_BestWishes

This card is featuring one of the techniques used to create the backgrounds of  one of the cards from the current Bloom Box. If you are curious about it, please follow this link to see the complete July Bloom Box as well as the way to subscribe.

Anyhow, the technique is fun, and it only takes a few strokes of Limeade Splash Liquid Color and a square paint brush to create it.  The pretty flower stamp is actually an AT stamp called Fragant Camellia, and it can be also be purchased with its matching die set. I used Lemon Grass True Color Fusion ink for the leaves and Watermelon Fusion True Color Fusion Ink for the blooms.

070218web_BestWishes2

I layered the background panel over a Sweet Berry cardstock mat and a Denim Days card base. I adhered some strips of my favorite polka dot Journey tape and I affixed everything with a couple of silver staples.  The sentiment belongs to the  Everyday Script set and it was stamped with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink over the background and enhanced with Journey Glaze (another of my favorite FSJ products).

070218web_BestWishes3

I adhered leaves and flowers with foam squares and of course I included some Sweet Candy Drops, Candy minis, and a tiny paper clip as the final touches of this card.   If you like this color combo here you have it:

FSJ • Hello Winter

Hello friends, I am back to share another project using the Fun Stampers Journey Huge Hello die. This is a 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook page of my Shelby. I know, Winter is still far from now at least that is what I want to believe, but for me Summer days are a good time to try to catch up doing my scrapbook pages. Anyway, I won’t explain all the process of this page but I will point out some of the details included in it. Take a look:070218web_hellowinter

In this case, I used the Huge Hello as the main sentiment but left the eyes of the letters in place. I just put a tiny piece of tape behind them to keep them in place. The word “winter” was stamped and die cut with the Solid Bet stamp set and the Outline Bet die set. For these I used one of the new FSJ ink colors: Fresh Sage which perfectly matches with one of the pieces of paper include in the Good Life Prints collection.

070218web_hellowinter3

I placed a scalloped border behind the left side of the picture (Pocket Trims) and a Notebook Page on the right side. On the upper part of the picture I arranged a heart (Heart Felt die set) stamped with the Decot Dots AT stamp. I also used a Journey Scallops circle and I added stitched details with Circle Around dies. The little file tab is from the Serif Basics steel rule and I cut it from the new Fresh Sage cardstock.

070218web_hellowinter4
The snowflakes belong to a steel rule die named Holiday Elements, and the final touches for the pages were cut rhinestones, silks and tape. Very little stamping, but a lot of fun putting together all those die cut shapes.

Cool in the Pool Layout

For some reason, since I have been organizing my craft room, a picture of my two sons landed on my desk and of course, I ended up making a 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook page.  So looking for some inspiration, I found a video by Heather’s Crafty Life which was very helpful saving me some time creating my page.  Currently, I am working 100% with Fun Stampers Journey products, so stamps have came really handy to create embellishments or motifs to decorate my pages.  Among other fantastic products, I used one new stamp set called “All Year Long” to create this page. This set is a Host Exclusive set, that I absolutely love since it includes lots of images and sentiments that can be used for many occasions.  For this page I used the sentiment “Let’s Chill” and the three Flamingo Floaties. (If you are wondering how you can  Host a FSJ Party, please click >>>HERE<<< for more information.

070218web_CoolinthePool

I used the Journey Serifs to create the “Cool” word using Whip Cream, and Black Licorice to create a shadow. The rest of the title was stamped using the Solid Bet Stamp set along with Turbo Teal and River Stone inks.

070218web_CoolinthePool2

I die cut some tags using the Steel Rule Tag Set using different colors of cardstock. The red scalloped border is actually one die included in the Pocket Trims die set,

To create the “Best Friends” text bubble I used a set that just got retired 😦 It was called Sunday Morning and belongs to the Spring into Summer Catalog.

070218web_CoolinthePool3

The paper I used are from the new Playful Prints Collection. I complemented this page with Sweet Candy Drops, Forever Heart Chips, Vagabond Chips, Summer Fun Chips,  a threaded Button Up, Sweet Slice and Classic Elegance Journey tapes.

The New 2018-2019 FSJ Catalog is here!

As part of the Fun Stampers Journey crew, I am very happy and proud to share that…

Catalog Launch Social Share Option 3

This new catalog is an amazing achievement for the whole FSJ team. The work behind the scenes to get to this point, is a sum of dedication, long hours, and love for what we all do as crew members. I love to see how the ideas become fabulous products, and these products unleash the creativity on all of us!  We have new colors, new dies, many new stamps,  three new collections and new tools.   The catalog is candy for your eyes with over three hundred pages to look through and get lots of inspiration… Click >>>HERE<< to see it!

I made a card to share today, as a Thank You for visiting my blog. I know that lately, I haven’t been very frequent here, but we all have been super busy to get to this day. Anyhow, here is my creation using a new stamp set that I can say is a “must have” called: Many Thanks. This is an AT size stamp set that belongs to a fabulous collection named RSVP. Take a look:

070218web_ThankYou

To create the background I used one of my favorite products: Lemon Drop Liquid Color. I simply put some drops and a little bit of water over a piece of clear acetate and I spread it with the square paint brush. Then, I picked up the color by placing a Whip Cream Panel over the watery mix.

070218web_ThankYou2

I die cut a heart using the Heart Felt die set, and then I stamped it using the new Grid Paper stamp background. I also used my sewing machine to affix the heart over the panel.

070218web_ThankYou3

Of course, as the final touches yummy Journey Glaze over the sentiment and some Sweet Candy Drops here and there.

If you liked the color combo I used for this card, here you have it 🙂
