Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. This month the kits will begin shipping from Hero Arts on Monday, July 8th. I want to point out that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

https://heroarts.com/pages/mmh-july-2019-kit

This kit contains: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, fourteen Coordinating Frame Cuts, two Fancy Dies, five Ink Cubes (Dusty Blue, Lime Green, Forest, Cocoa, Sand Stone), four 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of New Hero Hues Premium Cardstock (two of each Meadow and Lapis) and a Blue Pearl Embossing Powder 0.5 oz.

I love the theme of this month’s kit, mountains, forest, fishing, water…. (sigh), so perfect for Summer! Check out the card I created with this kit:

I began by stamping the mountains, forest and dock. It is hard to see in the picture, but I clear-embossed over the stamped images using the large solid images. After that, I used a distress ink to create the sky and water (embossing-resist technique), and of course I flicked a bit of water with a brush. I stamped one of the sentiments included in the stamp set and then, I trimmed out the image, I matted it with the Meadow Premium cardstock and adhered the panel over a white folded card. To finish off this card, I stamped the kids images with Intense Black Ink, die cut them, and adhered them over the card with foam tape.

My second card features a couple of the ad-ons products. The stamp set that I used is called Camp in the Wild and I also use Forest Sunset Fancy Die.

For this card I used the Forest Sunset Fancy Die upside down to create the forest silhouette behind the bears. I know, I should have used it the other way, but I thought the die was also perfect using it this way too! 😀

Anyway, the images were simply stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored it with markers. I die cut them with their matching dies and I created a cute bonfire scene with them. A sentiment and Journey Glaze details were the final touches for this card.

As part of this blog hop, Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. The giveaway closes Sunday, July 7th at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week on the Hero Arts blog.

Hero Arts Anniversary Blog Hop • Day 1

Welcome! Today I am thrilled to be joining a fun Hero Arts Blog Hop that celebrates the launch of the 2019 Summer Catalog as well as the 45th Anniversary of Hero Arts in the crafting industry! So exciting!

This is a three day event in which each day a different group of talented crafters will be sharing projects using products from the new catalog. Please be sure to visit the Hero Arts store to see the new catalog as well as all the new amazing products!

As part of this celebration, I created two cards using a stamp set called: Curious Cat, which is absolutely adorable!

The images were stamped with Intense Black ink and then colored with markers. I die cut the images with their matching frame cuts, which are also available at the Hero store. Additionally, I created a subtle background with a stencil, ink and a sponge dauber, and I finished up this card with some twine and clear dots.

For my second card, I used a different cat and fish images that are super cute too. This time I stamped the fish bowl using Soft Sky ink and then I colored the water with markers. I colored the images with markers as well, then I adhered the fish over the bowl image with foam tape.

After that, I stamped the bowl again over a clear acetate with StazOn Jet Black ink , and then I die cut it with its matching die. I added a drop of Glaze over the fish and I placed the clear bowl over the fish. Then, I simply arranged the cat to complete the cute scene. The final touches for this card were, a white-embossed sentiment, washi tape and some dots.

Hero Arts have gathered some fabulous prizes from some industry friends and partners for this hop, so take a look of the amazing list of sponsor and prizes:

As always, Winners will be drawn from people who leave comments along the blog hop over the three days – comment all three days for more chances to win! Comment by Sunday, June 2 at 11:59pm PST, and Hero Arts will announce the winners on the HA blog the following week.

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy Monday everyone! Hero Arts has always been one of my favorites stamp companies so I am very excited to be part of the My Monthly Hero Blog Hop this month! This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY March 4th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Kits begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday, March 8th. I want to point out that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

This fabulous kit contains: a 6″x8″ clear stamp set, a set of 27 coordinating Frame Cuts dies that match the stamp set, a 5.5 x 4.25 Aquarium Fancy Die, three Water Reactive Ink Cubes (Sea Salt, Sea Glass, Blue Water) and Blue and Green Droplets. The kit value is $75.99, an amazing deal at $34.99

I created a couple cards using the great products included in the kit, here is the first one:

I began by die cutting the Aquarium Fancy Die from green cardstock, then I placed it over a watercolor background just to see where I wanted to stamp some images. So I used the Sea Glass and Blue Water inks to stamp a few plants, a turtle and a small fish.

I also white-embossed the sentiment. I adhered the Aquarium frame over the stamped stamped panel and onto a folded green card. To complement the card I stamped the jellyfish image with Blue Water ink and die cut it with its matching die, I then adhered over the card using some foam tape. Of course I also included some yummy droplets as the final touches for this card.

The second card is similar to my first one but in this case I used the inks for the background. I want to point out that the ink cubes that are included in this kit are reactive to water so they are just perfect to create amazing backgrounds. I use a round small sponge dauber to apply the two colors over a white panel, and then I simply flicked water over with a thin brush.

As you can see is the same concept of the first card, just that I this case I used only the center part of the Aquarium die to make a frame. I have to say that this kit is a blast! Lots of images and clever sentiments.

As part of this blog hop, Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. The giveaway closes Sunday, March 10th at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week on the Hero Arts blog.

Today’s Card: Destination Paris

One of my favorite stamps from the Hero Arts 2017 Valetine’s Collection is the wood block stamp Destination Paris. I loved how the main attractions of this beautiful city have been represented, and all the tiny details that compliment the pretty scene. Today I am sharing a card that I created featuring this stamp:

120716web_paris4

For this card, I made a base card using a half of sheet of Antique Gold cardstock (this card stock is included in the December My Monthly Hero kit). To create the background, I gold-embossed the Heart Pattern Bold Prints  onto the card. So simple, and the results gold over gold are so pretty!

The Destination Paris stamp was also gold embossed, but this time I did it onto two pieces of Blush Mix Layering Paper (Punch Color).I matted one of these rectangles with metallic gold card stock, and then I adhered it over the base card.

120716web_paris5

I used the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies to die cut three small heart shapes from the second embossed image. I adhered these hearts right over the Paris image, trying to match the image below.  Finally, I added twine as the only embellisment. Quite simpe but so pretty!

Well, that’s all from me for today, I’ll be back soon to share another project.

Thanks for stopping by:) Have a wonderful crafty rest  weekend!

HA 2017 Valentine’s Collection Blog Hop

vday_bloghop_800

Welcome! Today I am happy to be joining this hop that celebrates the launch of the 2017 Valentine’s Collection in the Hero Arts store! Be sure to visit the Hero Arts store to see the complete collection!

As part of this launch, I created a card using three fabulous products which I definitely love: Destination Paris, Heart Pattern Bold Prints and the new Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies.

120716web_paris

I stamped the Heart Pattern Bold Prints over a card base ( Blush mix Layering Papers  -Carnation color) with Pale Tomato Shadow Ink. After that I stamped the Destination Paris image over Snow Layering paper with Intense Black Ink. I colored the image using Chameleon Markers and then, I die cut this panel into a large heart. I applied Glossy Accents and glitter over the colored image. I let this dry.

120716web_paris3

I also die cut a large heart from Blush mix Layering Papers  (Punch color) and I adhered this heart over the base card. I adhered the stamped heart over the card with foam tape (If you trim off the right side of the hearts before you adhere them, makes things easier). To finish off this card I simply added some sequins and thread.

GIVEAWAY

Hero will be giving away two $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Thursday, December 15 at 11:59pm PT and they will announce the winner the following week.

For this special ocasion I created two cards. The first one, features images from the main kit. Check it:

120416web_cheers1

I created the background panel by simply using a sponge dauber and different colors of Hybrid inks. I love how the round sponge marks make sort of bokeh effect.  After that I stamped the bottle image over a piece of Snow layering paper, I colored it with Chameleon markers and I die cut the shape with its matching die.  I also die cut the Cheers fancy die from black card stock.

Once I had those elements ready I place them over the background panel, just to see where I was going to stamp the complementary text, little bubbles and sparks.  I used Intense Black ink to do that.  Finally, I adhered bottle and sentiment with foam tape, and I embellished with some sequins here and there.

120416web_cheers2

My second card features some of the Add-On products which I think are fabulous! Check it out:

120416web_celebrate1

This time I used the DI339 Party Confetti Fancy Die along with the dark blue metallic card stock. I adhered over a gold foil card stock panel  and then, over a Snow Layering paper card base. I used one  infinity die circle to die cut a frame for the champagne glasses, and  I gold embossed the bubbles (CM123 Birthday Celebration).  I adhered the circle over the card with foam tape.

120416web_celebrate2

Then, I die cut two of the glasses (DI343 Birthday Celebration Frame Cuts )  with Snow Layering paper and other two with gold foil card stock. I trimmed off the upper part of the gold ones with scissors, just because I wanted them to look like as if they were clinking 😉 Then I adhered the gold ones over the white ones. I   adhered them over the circle with foam tape as well. To finish off this card, I gold embossed the sentiment (CM123 Birthday Celebration) over a strip of dark blue metallic card stock, I adhered it over the circle and I embellished the card with some gold sequins.

As always Hero is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes December 11 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week. Here is the complete list of participant blogs:

On the Hero Arts site, there are also a couple of mystery “grab bags” available:

wb1101

The November kit was designed as a DIY, with ornaments, advent calendar containers, garlands, and lanterns (when cut-out in vellum and placed over tree lights) in mind – and beyond Christmas as party and wedding favors. This is a versatile kit that you don’t want to miss!  For today’s blog hop,  I created a card using some of the products included in the main kit. Check it out:

110616web_peacejoy1

I have always thought that simple makes wonders. For my card,  I used one blue patterned paper to create a card base. After that, I created a rectangular panel with the metallic blue card stock and I silver-embossed a sentiment. I matted the panel with vellum card stock and I adhered the panel over the card base with foam tape.

110616web_peacejoy2

Then, I die cut the triangular snowflake shape from a piece of blue metallic card stock, and I trimmed it into a triangle using a craft knife . I adhered a piece of vellum paper from behind and I adhered  the piece onto the card with foam tape as well. To finish off the card, I used a silver sequin  and twine from my stash.  Quite simple, but I think it looks very pretty.

As always Hero is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes Sunday, November 13 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week. Here is the complete list of participant blogs:
