FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sprinkled With Love

Hello, hello! As you all know, the beginning of each month at FSJ always means that it’s time to release a brand new Stamp of The Month. So, this month’s stamp set is called Sprinkled With Love  and let me tell you that it is a treat to create cards with it.

Who would say “no” to a donut?… Not me! This adorable set features delicious donut images as well as a super cute Unicorn and of course some sentiments.

All the images included in this set are deliciously perfect to create cards, tags, cupcake toppers, etc. I particularly like the cute unicorn image which is so fun to color. This time I used Splash Watercolor Pencils to color the images and Journey Glaze + Sparkle Cuts to make them even yummier!

I used the Decorative Hearts Die Set to die cut a heart shape to use it as a paper doily, and as one would expect I used the coordinating die set to die cut the donut. To finish up this card, I included a sentiment and some Sweet Candy Drops.

FSJ • Thinking of You Card

Hi there! I am back today to share a card that I made using some products from the Fun Stampers Journey Catalog.  This is one of my favorite stamps sets from the Blooms section named Peony Blooms.

To color the blooms I used the Journey Color Burst color pencils and I applied Journey Glaze andJourney Sparkle cuts .  The background of this card was created using the same technique that I used on my last posted card, Lemon Drop and Fresh Forest Liquid color drops over the Journey Gel Press. Then, I sprayed a little bit of water with a mister  and  I spread the color with a brayer mixing well the colors in between to create the ombré effect. I waited a few seconds until dots of color were formed over the Journey Gel Press and then I placed a Whip Cream panel over to pick up the color.

As I have mentioned before, creating backgrounds with the liquid colors is so much fun. If you happen to create several, save them for later… they come in handy when you need to create last minute cards.  Anyhow, to finish this card, a pierced square, Journey tape, a sentiment and some sequins were the rest of the components of this card.

FSJ • Make Amazing Happen

Hi! I am back today to share a card that I created with  FSJ and RG products. I have to confess that this card was made from elements that I prepared for other cards but I did not use.  I always have a bunch of different elements piling up on my desk for a few days, before they can be re-purposed or discarded. It is funny how sometimes you can use those pieces for something else.

Anyways, to create the background I used a Sweet Berry Panel, and I flicked Silver Silk all over.  The Tag was made from Lemon Drop card stock and a  die set called Build a Tag Two from the Celebra’tions Collection by RG.   The sentiment is from a FSJ stamp set called Greeting Trends and it was simply stamped over a Whip Cream card stock  strip with Black Licorice Ink, and the left side was trimmed with scissors.

The little heart shape is from a Celebra’tions Die Set called Pierced Hearts. I die cut the piece from Lemon Drop cardstock, I added Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust over to make it shine.  The loops were created with LumberJack Jean Cord. I layered all the elements of this card onto a River Stone card stock card base and at the end, I simply embellished it with some Silver sequins. As you can see, I do not always plan my projects. Some of them just happen to be already on my desk, waiting to be put together 🙂

FSJ: Brave You

Hello everyone! I am back today to share a card that I created for the Be Brave Card Drive that is currently going on at the Fun Stampers Journey Blog. This drive is supporting the breast cancer awareness month in October.  You can join the drive during this month by creating handmade inspirational cards and send them to the Journey Station. This is the card that I created for the drive:

This card is quite easy to make. You will find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post, and you will see that I am using very few products to create it along with one of the stamps that belong to the Make Amazing Collection Happen by Richard Garay.

This are the instructions to replicate my card:

1. Make a card base from Bubble Gum Card stock.
2. Die cut Doily shape from Bubble Gum card stock. Adhere piece over card base a bit off the right side of the card and trim excess with scissors. Flick some Silver and Bubble Gum silk.
3. Stamp sentiment over Whip Cream card stock using Cocoa Powder ink. Die cut with its matching die. Apply Glossy Accents and Sparkles cuts over. Let dry.

4. Make a breast cancer ribbon from Satin Ribbon Bubble Gum. Affix  ribbon with glue dots.
5. Adhere sentiment with foam squares.
6. Embellish card with a bud and pink sequins

FSJ • Reach for the Stars

Hey there! I am back today to share a little treat box that I made using some products from the  Be Amazing Collection by Fun Stampers Journey. This collection is all about color, and it includes lots of coordinating products like cardstock, patterned papers, embellishments, inks, silks, splashes and so much more.

A  little box like this one can be used to make party favors or maybe to give a little something to someone special. To create it,  I used the Treat Box Die along with Outrageous Pink Cardstock. Before I assembled it, I flicked all the Silk colors of the Be Amazing collection over it. I loved the way it looks!

I created a star shape focal point using two dies from the Star-Dom Die Set along with Sour Lemon and Orange Rave cardstock colors. I adhered the two stars, one on top of the other one,  over the box with a couple of foam squares . Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Greetings Trends Stamp Set with Black Licorice True Color Fusion ink, and I trimmed around it with scissors. I adhered it over the star with foam squares as well.

I added a few more details: a wooden star, Black Licorice Thread, Gingham Ribbon Black Licorice, a Mini Wooden Clothespin, and some flat sequins. I pull out these sequins from the Sparkle and Amazing Trims.

To finish off this project I applied Journey Glaze over the sentiment and wooden star and then,  I sprinkled Sparkle Cuts.

FSJ • Think Happy Thoughts

Hey there! Today I am sharing a card that I made using a super cute set by Fun Stampers Journey. If you are a cat lover, you are going to love this set. The name of the set is Find Joy, and it includes adorable cat images and sentiments.

I wanted to make a clean and simple card to showcase one of these little cats. I began by creating a card base from Lemon Grass Cardstock and I stamped the “meow” sentiment with Denim Days True Color Fusion Ink several times to create the background. Besides that, I created a slanted panel from Butter Cream Cardstock. I stamped a sentiment and the yarn ball over it with Denim Days True Color Fusion Ink.

On a piece of River Stone Cardstock , I stamped the little cat with Hazelnut Blend Color Fusion Ink. I fussy cut the shape with scissors. I adhered it onto the panel with a Journey Foam Square, and the panel over the card base. Finally, I embellished the card with Lemon Grass Thread, a Button, Sequins and Journey Glaze details over the sentiment and cat (eyes and nose).

Sharing Good News

Hi! Today I want to share some happy news with you. Recently I have accepted a part time position as part of the Fun Stampers Journey crew. I am really thrilled about this great opportunity 😀 😀 😀  Fun Stampers Journey is a direct sales company that was started by Richard Garay a few years back. Although, Richard has been immersed in the industry for many many years, it was not until a couple years ago when he, along with his wife and a crew of talented people started this journey.

As part of my new endeavors, I will be working on projects that will be mainly used by FSJ for catalogs, but I will continue to share projects once a week using  the FSJ line exclusively here on my personal blog. Today  I am also sharing a simple card that I made using some of my new FSJ products. The set that I used for this project is called Summer Rose:

I created a bouquet of flowers by stamping the images with two colors of ink over a Whip Cream card stock panel. The sentiment belongs to a set called Greetings Trends Stamp set and it was stamped with Black Licorice Ink. I added a layer of Journey Glaze on top of the sentiment just for fun and I embellished this card with Bubble Gum Thread and pink sequins.
