Hero Arts 2021 Catalog Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to…

Today, I am very happy to be participating in the Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop. Hero as we all know, always brings us amazing new products that will keep us inspired and creative. Please click >>>HERE<<< so you can see the whole catalog and start making your wishlist.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

I created three cards using four of the products included in the catalog: Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL, Envelope Accessories Fancy Dies, Sending Love Mail and the Hexagons Infinity Dies.

For this card, I used Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL along with the Hexagons Infinity dies, take a look: The design of this card is quite simple, and I only played with different colors and sizes of hexagons to create a background for the main sentiment. I die cut the word “thanks” from white cardstock and black foam. I like to do this to add dimension to the word and avoid having a bunch of little pieces of foam tape behind the words. I placed the white slightly off center over the black to make it look like a drop shadow. The sentiment was simply white-embossed over black cardstock and I embellished the card with some colorful sequins.

For this card I used Envelope Accessories Fancy Dies and Sending Love Mail stamp set. I have to say that I love that little envelope. It is the perfect size to put some flowers in it…or hearts, or whatever you wish. Of course, the flower and leaf dies were super fun to color with Chameleon Markers. The background was created with Distress ink and a sponge dauber. Then I stamped the words block included in the stamp set. I finished up this card with a white-embossed sentiment, decorative tape, Sparkle silk and some sequins.

The third card was a mix of products. I used the Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL to die cut the word “happy” from white cardstock and then, I gave it color with two ddifferent colors of Distress Inks. I also die cut the word from black foam to add dimension, just like card #1. I created a bouquet of flowers using the dies from the Envelope Accessories Fancy Dies. I Colored the shapes with watercolors. For the background, just like card #2, I used the Sending Love Mail stamp set and Distress inks. I sprinkled a bit of water to create the water marks over the DI background and I also stamped the words block over it. I complemented the card with a strip of vellum, decorative tape and some crystal blue and green dots.

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop+ Giveaway • December

The new My Monthly Hero kit has just been released and it will be available as of TODAY December 7th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Please remember that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.  Pre-order your kit today – we estimate the kit will begin to ship on Friday, December the 11th and continues throughout the following week.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

The fabulous MMH of December features a wonderful Heroscape sky scene and other great products that will keep you entertained creating fabulous cards, check it out:

MMH December

The Kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, Hope Word Fancy Die, Cloud Fancy Die, Cloud Window Die, 4 reactive Cubes (Early Dawn, Morning Mist, Chartreuse, Thistle), Yellow Prisma Embossing Powder 0.5 oz. Kit Value: $78.00 Kit Cost: $34.99

Please don’t forget that every month Hero also releases a bunch of fabulous Ad-On products, which are also available for purchase and they are themed with relation to the current MMH.

So, for today I made three cards. All of them were created using the images and Fancy Dies from the MMH of December

My first card, showcases the Hope Fancy Die along with the Window and Cloud Fancy Dies. I die cut the window and two clouds from white cardstock to create a frame/base for the focal point. The focal point is the Hope Fancy Die which I die cut from white cardstock as well. I achieved the ombré effect by coloring the word with Chameleon markers.

To add extra dimension to the word, I die cut two more words and I used them as layers. Next, I flicked a bit of Sparkle Silk over the base card and then I adhered the window, clouds and word to the card. I finished it up with some clear drops.

The second card features some of the stamps also included in the kit, take a look:

I began by creating the clouds background. The kit comes with three layers of clouds but I only used two of them. I stamped them with soft ink colors followed by the larger sun rays, sentiment and flying birds image. To achieve perfectly stamped images, I used my Misti Regular Hero Black which is one of the tools that I highly recommend to invest on if you are getting into the stamping hobby.

As the final touches for this card I added some Glaze details along with some Sparkle Cuts and Sparkle Dust.

The third card is a bonus card, because I wasn’t planning to make it, but the Hope Fancy Die is so pretty that I couldn’t resist making another card with it. This time I paired the word with an embossing folder that I have in my stash, and I though it was just perfect for the die:

For this card I used white cardstock to die cut the word, and I only added a foam circle underneath the “O” center to add a bit of dimension. The “H” and “E” edges were merely adhered to the embossed panel with craft glue. The complete panel was adhered to the white base card with foam tape.

I added a few clear drops as the final touches and voila! Simple yet so pretty.

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop+ Giveaway • November

The new My Monthly Hero kit has just been released and it will be available as of TODAY November 2nd at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Please remember that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.  Pre-order your kit today – we estimate the kit will begin to ship on Friday, November the 6th and continues throughout the following week.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

The fabulous MMH of November features Christmas images and other great products that will keep you entertained creating fabulous cards, take a look:

MMH November

The Kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 5 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 6 Coordinating Masking Cuts, Winter Sky Reactive Ombré Ink Pad, Red Vine Washi Tape, Winter Forest Sequins. Kit Value: $86.00 Kit Cost: $34.99

Please don’t forget that every month Hero also releases a bunch of fabulous Ad-On products, which are also available for purchase and they are themed related to the current MMH.

So, for today I made two cards. Both of them were created using the images of the MMH of November, take a look:

For this card I used one of the ad-ons stamps called Etched Winter Scene Bold Prints, and I used it to create a subtle background for the card (I like to use the Misti Regular Hero Black to stamp large solid images, because you can always stamp it over again to achieve a perfect stamped image). I also used a white pen to enhance a little bit the snow dots of the stamped image.

To create the focal point, I stamped the house image three times using different colors of ink. I want to point out that this kit comes with some dies called Masking Frames which are intended for masking the images. In this case, I used those masking frames as regular frame cuts, and that is why there isn’t a white border around the images.

The sentiment was stamped over a strip of cardstock and then I die cut it with a Ribbon Banner die. I used the banner as the base for the cute houses and I finished up this card with some white sequins and some Glaze details.

The second card features the snowman and a small rectangular stamp also included in the kit, take a look:

This is a 3 5/8″ X 4 1/4″ card, which means that instead of getting only two folded cards out of a single 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock, I got three cards. The size is obviously smaller, but for small images I think a small card makes them look even cuter. The background was created with the Waves Stencil, and I used it to emboss the cardstock, just to add a bit of texture.

The rectangular stamp background was stamped with Mint Julep to Emerald Green Ombré Ink Pad. Then, the snowman was stamped with black ink and I added some color details. I also die cut him with its matching Masking Frame. To finish up the card, I white embossed one the sentiments over a red cardstock strip and I added some sequins and glaze details.

Hello, hello! I want to share with you today the new Take Time for You Project Kit from FSJ & SB, which has just been released and now is available for purchase. This kit is all about plants and that doesn’t mean that you need to have a green thumb to create fabulous projects because the products included in it are wonderful! I have to say that I really loved all the products in this kit and by having them in my hands it wasn’t hard to feel in the mood to create a couple of cards for today.

So, I used Happy Plants Etched Dies for my first card and the Plant Lady Stamp Set for the second card. Here is card #1:

The Happy Plants Etched Dies are so much fun to play with. You can mix and match the pots and foliage, use different colors of cardstock so you can give them your personal touch. You can make simple designs or more elaborate ones, it is your choice!

This amazing die set can easily be paired with the Plant Lady Stamp Set, as I did, using one of the sentiments I thought it was just perfect for my card.

Here is card #2:

This is literally a green card 😉 I used different green tones of Liquid Colors to create a striped background, and then I simply stamped some of the Plant Lady Stamp Set images with Black Licorice Ink over Whip Cream Cardstock. Then, I die cut them with their matching dies. I complemented with a white-embossed sentiment and some green sequins.

The complete Take Time for You Collection will soon be released at the store, but right now what FSJ+SB has available is this amazing Project Kit, which includes all what you see in the picture below:

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop+ Giveaway • October

The new My Monthly Hero kit has just been released and it will be available as of TODAY October 5th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Please remember that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.  Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, October 9th and continues throughout the following week.

The fabulous MMH of October features Christmas images and other great products that will keep you entertained creating fabulous cards, take a look:

The Kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 12 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 1 Ornament shape die, 2 Inner Ornaments dies, 3 Embossing Powders (Red, Glacier Blue, White Sparkle), 1/2 oz. each , 1 Watermark & Embossing Ink Cube. Kit Value: $76.00 Kit Cost: $34.99

Please don’t forget that every month Hero also releases a bunch of fabulous Ad-On products, which are also available for purchase and they are themed related to the current MMH.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

So, for today I made two cards. Both of them were created using the images of the MMH of October, take a look:

This was quite a simple card, featuring many of the tiny images that can be used in so many ways. This time I used them to create a background using different color of inks and randomly stamped the images to create a pattern. After that, I adhered the panel over a folded card. I want to point out that many of the tiny images have their matching frame cuts which opens up more possibilities for your creativity!

The sentiment was stamped over a strip of cardstock and I left enough space on both sides so I could create the banner ends. To create the folded banner, I trimmed off the ends of the rectangle. Then, I used a white strip of cardstock as a base for banner. I trimmed around the banner with a craft knife and then I adhered it over the card. I finished off this card with a couple of cute birds that hold the banner and water droplets.

The second card features the big ornament shape and stamp as the focal point, take a look:

I like to use the Misti Regular Hero Black to stamp large solid images, because you can always stamp over again to achieve a perfect stamped image. Anyway, I also used the matching frame cut the stamped ornament and to give it dimension, I die cut a piece of foam. I created a subtle background with liquid color and a sponge dauber over white cardstock. I flicked some Sparkle silk over and I die cut it with the ornament frame shape too… phew! So, I layered the background, foam and red ornament together, and adhered the whole piece over a white cardstock panel.

I stamped and die cut the flying santa and I adhered it over the ornament. I complemented this card with a sentiment, some white sequins and a silver string bow.

New Buzzworthy Collection from FSJ & SB + Project Kit

Hello, hello! I am happy to share with you today a card that I created with a couple of stamp sets from the New Buzzworthy Collection from FSJ+ Spellbinders. This collection includes wonderful stamp sets and a brand new stencil that can be used all year round.

My card combines two of the stamp sets included in the collection. It showcases an image from the Sweet as Honey Stamp Set, as well as a sentiment from the Block Prints Stamp Set, check it out:

I began by creating the striped background using Peaches & Cream Liquid Color and a square paint brush. I simply applied some drops of color and water over a palette and I picked up the color with the brush. I created the stripes over Whip Cream cardstock, I let the panel dry and then, I trimmed off the edges. I matted the panel with Peaches & Cream cardstock and after that, I adhered the panel over a Oatmeal Cookie folded card.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission at no cost for you. Thanks!

Next, I stamped the flower image onto Whip Cream cardstock. Then, I enhanced the petals and center of it with Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils and the leaf was colored with a Mermaid Marker Art Essentials by Jane Davenport. Additionally, I added some Journey Glaze and Sparkle cuts details. I used a Wooden Hoop with vellum as the frame of the flower and to finish, I complemented the card with a sentiment and some pearls.

The complete Buzzworthy Collection will soon be released at the store, but right now what FSJ+SB has available is this amazing Project Kit, which includes all what you see in the picture below:

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop+ Giveaway • September

The new My Monthly Hero kit has just been released and it will be available as of TODAY September 8th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Please remember that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.  Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, September 11th and continues throughout the following week.

The fabulous MMH of September features a Fall themed HeroScape and other great products that will keep you entertained creating fabulous cards, take a look:

MMH September 2020 Kit
MMH September 2020 Kit

The Kit includes: 6″ x 8″ HeroScape Clear Stamp Set, 3″ x 4″ Clear Stamp Set, 5 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 5 Ink Cubes (Grape Slush, Moss, Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, Cup O’ Joe), • 6 5.5″ x 8.5″ Glitter Sheets (Orange, Bronze, Copper). Kit Value: $80.00 Kit Cost: $34.99

Both of them were created using the images of the MMH of September, take a look:

For this card I began by creating the background. I used a Lapis cardstock panel and Faded Jeans Distress Ink to darken the upper part of the panel. Additionally, I sprayed a bit of water to create a bit of lighter tiny spots. Then, I stamped the corn images (solid stripe and corn detail stripe) using two different colors of ink. I created four strips and I die cut them with the matching frame cut. I adhered three of the strips overlapping them, so they look like rows, and I affixed them over the blue panel with foam tape. The remaining strip was adhered directly over the panel.

After that, I stamped the scarecrow and crow with Cup O’Joe ink and die cut them with their matching frame cuts. I adhered them behind the three corn rows block and above the single corn row. Finally, I white-embossed a sentiment, I adhered the panel over a folded card, and I added some sequins as the final touches.

For my second card I used more of the images included in the set. Take a look:

As I have said before, the best way to achieve excellent results while using Color Layering stamps is by using the Misti Regular Hero Black. Maybe a bit of investment here, but it is really worth it. Anyway, to create the pumpkin/corn field I stamped the different images with a different color of ink, layering them up until the scene was complete. I think this is the part that I enjoyed the most while using this type of stamps! Then, I die cut the block with the frame cut.

Next, I created a striped background using the solid corn strip. I stamped the strip using different colors of ink (light to dark) over a white cardstock panel. I also stamped the sentiment and flying birds directly over the striped panel with black ink. Then, I adhered the pumpkin field over the panel with foam tape and the whole panel over a folded card. I complemented this card with the scare crow and crow, a sentiment, some sequins and Glaze details.

You Make my Heart Smile Card

Lately, I have been using some amazing products by Jane Davenport that have really made me get into the creative mode and get a bit messy too. There is something about the beautiful packaging and the GREAT quality of these products that make me want to stop doing whatever I am doing and start using them! Really!

One of my favorite products are called Inkredible Inks ArtEssentials. These are twelve beautiful colors and each of them come in a bottle that can be used to create wonderful backgrounds or used as paints to color stamped images too. But we all know that when we get into the artsy mode, there are no rules to create and let your creativity flow!

So today I am sharing a simple card, that features a quick and easy background made with Inkredible Inks. I am attaching a quick video at the end of this post so you can see how easily you can create it. Here is my finished card:

I love how easy you can layer the Inkredible Ink colors and if you paired them with a Color Splash Watercolor Sheets, you can achieve beautiful results!

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission at no cost for you. Thanks!

To avoid my watercolor panel from curving, I put it underneath something heavy to dry, and I also put a piece of scrap paper over the panel to absorb some of the moisture. While waiting for the background to dry, I used a wonderful FSJ stamp set called Cottage Bouquet to stamp the images with Black Licorice Ink. After that, I die cut it with its matching dies.

After that background panel was dried, I stamped a sentiment and I adhered it over a folded card. As always, I embellished the card with some pearls plus some gemstones and I added some Journey Glaze details. Journey Glaze is a must have product, it dries faster than other similar products on the market and it gives your cards a beautiful finishing look.

So, let me tell you that lots of Jane Davenport products are currently on sale, so this is a great opportunity to put some wonderful products in your shopping cart 😉

Hero Arts Winter 2020 Catalog Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome!

Today we are celebrating the launch of the Winter 2020 Catalog Release in the Hero Arts store with a fun inspirational Blog Hop. As of today, you can see and get all the new fabulous Winter products at the HA store. Very exciting! Check it out:

Winter Catalog 2020

As part of this hop, I created two cards. For the first card, I used the Color Layering Gingerbread House Combo. This combo includes a stamp set and matching frame cuts. The color layering stamp sets are a lot of fun to play with and the Misti Mini Hero Black or the Misti Regular Black are a great help when using this kind of stamps.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission from Hero Arts at no cost for you. Thanks!

So, I created a plaid background and then, I adhered this panel over a folded card. Next, I stamped the cute gingerbread house using different colors of ink. Additionally, I stamped the small images and I die cut all the images.

I continued to stamp the sentiment over a white cardstock square and I adhered it over the card with foam tape. I adhered the house and other tiny images also with foam tape to add dimension. Last but not least, I finish off this card with some enamel dots and some Glaze details.

Supplies Card 1: SB259 Color Layering Gingerbread House Combo | Hero Arts Cardstock

The second card features the Fawn and Friends Combo and I paired it with a sentiment from a set called Comfort and Joy Messages.

This time I created a subtle background over a white panel. I adhered this panel onto a folded card . I also used the Staircase Fancy Die to be part of the background for the cute friends there. The doggie and kitty were simply stamped with black ink, colored with watercolors and die cut with their matching frame cuts.

I complemented the card with a sentiment an some gifts images also included in the Comfort and Joy Messages set. I colored those too and I finish off my card with some Glaze details and some enamel dots.
