FSJ Stamp of the Month: Bold Beautiful

Hello friends! I am starting this month with a project I created with the new Stamp of the Month: Bold Beautiful. This set features pretty foliage stamps along with a large sentiment and a frame. All of these images are just perfect to layer them up, or combine them in so many ways to create beautiful projects.

To create this card, I stamped some of the images with two different ink colors (Watermelon Fusion and Kiwi Slice) and then, I fussy-cut them with my Detail Pro Shears. I also stamped the sentiment over Whip Cream cardstock with Watermelon Fusion ink after that I die cut it into a rectangular frame (Special Tags Die Set).

I adhered a couple of matching colored cardstock strips and a Whip Cream panel, and I affixed it over a folded card. After that, I adhered the sentiment with foam squares onto the card, and I arranged the foliage/flowers images to create a pretty bouquet. Finally, I adhered some Pink World Journey Sequins to finish up this card. As you can see, no matter what technique you choose with this wonderful set, your projects will always look very pretty.

FSJ • Congrats Exploding Envelope

Hello, friends! Today I am sharing a fun project that I created inspired by a Fun Stampers Video showing how to make a Exploding Envelope . This is one of those projects that you will enjoy from start to finish. Once you make one, you are going to want to make some more for any occasion; believe me, they are super fun!

Graduation was the theme for my exploding envelope. So using my FSJ Scoring Board I created an envelope from Haystack cardstock. I made a belly band of printed paper (RSVP Prints) and and I added some elements to dress it up: a graduation cap (Hats Off die set) over a circle shape, sequins, decorative tape and a gold star glued over a mini paperclip.

After you slide off the paper band, you open the envelope and there you have five areas that you can decorate according to the theme you have selected.

I used the a printed paper (Through The Year prints) to cover the four flaps of my open envelope and the central rectangle was covered with the same printed paper I used for the paper band. Of course, the central part is the focal point so I layered strips of paper as follows: Vellum, gray cardstock, white cardstock, and a die cut sentiment over a strip of red cardstock (Congrats die set). I adhered these layers together, and I made them work as a pocket to hold a gift card between the printed paper and the layers.

After I adhered those to the envelope face, I added some more elements. A die cut star, a stamped sentiment, a graduation cap, sequins, decorative tape, and another mini paper clip. To finish up my project, I added some stamped details to the upper and bottom flaps of the envelope.

So, if you want a bit more inspiration you can watch the Fun Stampers Video here:

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

The new My Monthly Hero kit has just been released and it will be available as of TODAY March 2nd at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. For this month, Hero will start shipping the kits and add-ons on March 16 due to some supplier delays. We all know you are excited to get your kit and Hero will work to ship earlier if possible. Thank you for your wonderful patronage and patience. Please remember that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

The theme for March features a wonderful color layering set that comes with dies and other great products perfect to create amazing projects for Spring with an oriental touch, take a look:

The kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 5 Coordinating Frame Cut Dies, 5 Ink Cubes (Green Hills, Field Greens, Dusty Blue, Rose Madder, Cotton Candy), 6 5.5″x 8.5″ Sheets of Cardstock (2 each of Peony, Kiwi and Mist),  Pink Puff Embossing Powder 0.5 oz. The value of this kit is $70, but it can be yours for only $34.99… so this is really a good deal!

This month, there also some phenomenal add-ons products, and I had the chance to create with some of them. My first card features Dreams Will Blossom Stamp set and its Frame Cuts:

The set includes a couple of flower bouquets and some sentiments. I stamped one of the flowers stamps over white cardstock, and I added some color details with markers. This stamp is so pretty that it doesn’t really need much color to look lovely! I complemented the image with a sentiment that I white-embossed over a black cardstock strip. I placed both of them over a double layer of rectangles.

Then, I created the background using a stencil called Leaf Pattern (this stencil came along with the June MMH kit). I used it to embossed a dark pink cardstock panel, and after that I adhered it over a black folded card. I adhered the focal point layers over the card, and I embellished it with yellow enamel dots.

My second card shows a cute and fun set called Kittens in Kimonos.

I began by creating the stamped background. Using the Parasol Bold Prints stamp with red ink over a red cardstock panel, I created a subtle image. I added the panel over a black folded card.

After that, I stamped two of the kittens over white cardstock and colored them with markers. I die cut them with their matching frame cuts. Then, I white-embossed a sentiment over a black cardstock strip. To finish up the card I arranged the stamped element over the card and I complement them with a white circle shape, decorative tape and some enamel dots. Simple yet fun!

FSJ Stamp of the Month is here: Sentiment Stacks

Hello March, and hello the new FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sentiment Stacks! I have always thought that you can never have too many sentiment stamp sets in your stash, so let me tell you that, Sentiments Stacks can be a great addition to your stamp collection. The stamp set comes with six larger stamps that can be complemented with smaller words to create a perfect mix and match sentiments!

So this time I created two cards, showcasing some of the sentiments included in the set. Here is my card #1:

To create this card I white-embossed the “birthday’ sentiment over Huckleberry Fusion cardstock strip, and I complemented with the words “oops, I missed your” on top of it. I also used a frog from the Stick Around stamp, which I stamped over a piece of printed paper and die cut with its matching die.

The background was created with a small dauber dowel, clear pigment ink and whip cream embossing powder. I included a Whip Cream circle shape and a Citrus Cooler border to complement the focal point. I embellished the card with some Rainbow drops and on the inside of the card I stamped the word “sorry”.

Card #1 Supplies: Sentiment Stacks | Stick Around Stamp Set | Stick Around Die Set |Circle Around Die Set | Borders Essentials Die Set | Playful Prints | Rainbow Drops Gems Embellishments |

Here is card #2:

For my second card, I white embossed the large word “sorry” over a Black Licorice cardstock strip, and I complemented it with the words “for your loss”. I also used one of the butterflies from the stamp set Small Things; I stamped it twice with black Licorice ink over Whip Cream cardstock, and then I die cut it with its matching die. I gave them a hint of color by tapping a few times a Watermelon Fusion ink pad, directly over the stamped butterflies.

I created a crisscross background with the edge of Black Licorice and Whip Cream ink pads over a Grape Fusion Panel. I also added some Whip Cream silk details to it. Finally, I arranged all the elements over the card, and I finished it up with sequins and rhinestones.

You Are One in a Chameleon Card

Happy Friday! I have a Hero Arts card today that features a pretty Stamp & Cut set called Chameleon. This type of sets are fabulous because they make things easier for you. You get the stamps and matching dies in the same package at a great price. So, take a look of the card I created:

For this card, the images were simply colored with Chameleon Markers (how clever, right?) and then they were die cut with their matching dies. I arranged them over a circle shape and I of course I also white-embossed sentiment onto a black small circle to complement the focal point.

To make the background I used a a green panel that I previously created with FSJ liquid colors. Then, I stamped the Jungle Bold Prints background over it with Lime to Forever Green Ombré Ink Pad. This kind of pads are one of my favorite products from Hero Arts, just because they make your stamping more interesting and fun! I matted the panel with a darker green panel and adhered it over a folded card. After that, I placed the main elements over the card, I embellished it with some Sunset Hero Hues Enamel Dots, Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Cuts details.

Toucan Do It Card

Hello, hello! Quick post today just to share a shaker card that I created using a fun and pretty Spellbinders die set called Shapeabilities Botanical House Etched Dies, take a look:

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 020720web_toucandoit-1.jpg

I don’t often create shaker cards, but I have to say that they are fun to make. In this case the house frame and the leaves were placed above the acetate. I affixed them between the frame and the acetate and then, the confetti was placed underneath the acetate so it could move freely.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 020720web_toucandoit2-1.jpg

I thought that pretty house was missing some visitors, so I used a couple of toucan and flower stickers to create a fun scene. I also stamped a sentiment from a FSJ stamp set called Toucan Do It. If you like this set, please be sure to visit the SB store and see all the new stuff that they have i

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! Today I am happy to share a card that I created using some Fun Stampers Journey products. The stamp set that my card is showcasing is called Sending My Love Stamp Set, take a look:

For this card I made a rectangle from the Follow Your Heart Printed Paper as the background. I don’t know about you but I like to always have printed paper handy, it is such a time saver, specially when you have to make more than one card!

Moving on, I matted the printed paper rectangle with Lavender Fusion cardstock and I adhered the panel over a Sweet Cherry folded card. I also created a Whip Cream frame using a Fancy Edged Rectangle die. Underneath it I placed a double layer of vellum and printed paper. I adhered the rectangle over the card with foam squares and I also placed a strip of Mirror Gold Cardstock in between.

After that, I proceeded to stamp the focal point images using one of the Create a Palette Refillable Ink Pads. I used the following Liquid Colors to create my combo: Bubble Gum, Rustic Rose, Watermelon Fusion, Lavender Fusion and Pretty Amethyst.

I like the stamping results a lot by using these type of pads and as you can see the images look really pretty! To finish up my card I adhered some Gold Sequins, Journey Glaze details and a heart shaped paper clip.

HA• Thank You Card

Hello there! Quick post today, just to share a thank you card that I created using a cute stamp set by Hero Arts: Teacup Flowers. I love the flower images that remind me about how fun and pretty Spring is!

Well, one thing that I liked a lot about this particular set is that it includes a variety of different blooms, leaves, and other floral details that are perfect to create bouquets. For my card, I stamped the images with Intense Black ink and then, I colored them with markers, with very little details… They are just very pretty by themselves! Then, I die cut them with their matching frame cuts.

I arranged them over a white panel using glue dots and foam tape to add dimension. After that, I white embossed a simple sentiment over a strip of black cardstock. Finally, I adhered the panel over a folded card, and I added some clear dots as the final touches. Simple, colorful and fun.

The New FSJ Ready, Set, Spring Collection is Here!

Hello friends! Today I am happy to share that the new Fun Stampers Journey Ready, Set, Spring Collection in now live in the Spellbinders shop! This new collection brings cute critters, sentiments and the whole feeling that Spring is around the corner! Take a look at the card that I created with one of my favorites stamp sets from this collection:

This set is called Joyful Greetings and I used its matching Die Set too. The stamp images of this set are very pretty with lots of floral details and solid areas, which I thought were just perfect to give them a pretty ombré effect. So, using Create-A-Palette Refilable Ink pads I stamped the cute fox, the heart and the darling bird.

Not sure if you have seen these before, but when you buy the ink pads, they come with no colors…

So you can create your own color combinations using re-inkers or like I did, Liquid Colors ! This is quite an easy way to give your stamp images a fun look!

Additionally, I would like to mention that a Project Kit is also available for purchase, which includes the following: AT-0359 Happy Spring Mini Stamp Set, SS-0689 Joyful Greetings Stamp Set, DI-0547 Joyful Greetings Die Set, DI-0545 Bunny Trio Die Set, Kit Materials to Assemble FOUR Cards.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Spring in The Desert

Hello friends! February has just started so it is time to share a card featuring the Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month: Spring in the Desert. This stamp set is full of beautiful flowers and succulents, perfect to to create pretty bouquets and backgrounds too. So, for today I created this card:

I began by adhering a patterned paper rectangle over a Hazelnut Blend folded card. Then I die cut a Fancy Edged Rectangle from Whip Cream cardstock and I stamped a sentiment. I adhered the rectangle over the card.

The images were also stamped with Black Licorice ink over Peaches and Cream cardstock, and then I added details with liquid colors. I fussy cut the images and I arranged them over the rectangle giving them dimension with foam squares. Last but not least, I embellished the cards with sequins, pearls and thread.

FSJ’s Kindness Matters Collection is Here!

Kindness Matters is the name of the new collection that Fun Stampers Journey has just released and today, I am delighted to share two cards created with one of my favorite stamp sets from this release: Baby Farm Animals and its coordinating dies.

For my first card, I took advantage of the cute outlined darling images, and I grabbed my Journey Splash Watercolor Pencils to color them. Once the color dried, I die cut them with their matching dies.

I thought a red barn would be a perfect match for these cute creatures, so I die cut a Candy Apple Reversed Banner shape and I cut off two of its corners to create the shape of a traditional barn.

After that, I created the lines with a ruler and a thin marker. Then, to create the barn doors, I simply made two small rectangles and I dragged criss cross lines with my white Journey Burst Color Pencil. I glued those two pieces over a Whip Cream rectangle and adhered the piece over the barn.

I created the little window over the door the same way. I finished up the barn with a piece of Hazelnut Blend cardstock to create the roof over the barn. Quite simple if you ask me, but fun to create.

My second card is a bit simpler than the one above. In this case, I simply stamped the baby animals with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink over different colors of cardstock.

I used the grass and cloud die cuts from the Sweet Home Accent die set to create a simple, yet pretty scene for the cute baby animals.

I arranged them over a rectangle cut out of Pool Play cardstock and of course I also included a sentiment. I finished up the card with wiggle eyes for the cute animals and some white pearls here and there.

Anyway, please be sure to visit the FSJ shop and see the whole collection; you can either buy the products individually or you can also buy a Project Kit, which means a great deal!
