FSJ • You Hold the Key to My Heart + Giveaway Winner

Hello, hello! I am back today just to share another card that I made using the pretty Stamp of the Month by Fun Stampers Journey, and to announce the name of the winner of this wonderful stamp set.

I made a simple background by stamping a lock image over a Cool Pool panel with Limeade Splash ink. I adhered the panel onto a Limeade Splash folded card. The wings were white embossed on Watermelon Fusion cardstock and then, die cut with its matching die.

I stamped the sentiment over a Whip Cream circle with Black Licorice ink. The key wast stamped with Black Licorice ink and die cut with its matching die. I arranged the elements over the card, and added some final touches: a heart shaped gem, Journey tape and Journey Glaze details.

RG’s 2017 CHA New Release Blog Hop + a Grand Prize

RG New Collections Blog Hop.jpg

Welcome to my blog! I am very happy and excited to start 2017 sharing a little bit of the NEW amazing RG’s Collections that will be released at CHA later this month. The four new collections are amazing and today we are having a Blog Hop to showcase some the new products.

I created a card featuring a collection called: Media Adventure. This collection is quite unique and beautiful. Among others, it includes dies and embossing folders. The card that I created for today, is showing one of the die sets named The Fun, which is a paper doll. Check it out:

010417web_helloyou

The Media Venture doll dies are so much fun! I love that the parts of the dolls can be die cut separately, and you can always give them  your personal touch! This time I  chose a soft color combo  for this card, and I paired the doll with some products by FSJ to complement it. You will find the complete list of products at the end of this post.

HA 2017 Valentine’s Collection Blog Hop

vday_bloghop_800

Welcome! Today I am happy to be joining this hop that celebrates the launch of the 2017 Valentine’s Collection in the Hero Arts store! Be sure to visit the Hero Arts store to see the complete collection!

As part of this launch, I created a card using three fabulous products which I definitely love: Destination Paris, Heart Pattern Bold Prints and the new Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies.

120716web_paris

I stamped the Heart Pattern Bold Prints over a card base ( Blush mix Layering Papers  -Carnation color) with Pale Tomato Shadow Ink. After that I stamped the Destination Paris image over Snow Layering paper with Intense Black Ink. I colored the image using Chameleon Markers and then, I die cut this panel into a large heart. I applied Glossy Accents and glitter over the colored image. I let this dry.

120716web_paris3

I also die cut a large heart from Blush mix Layering Papers  (Punch color) and I adhered this heart over the base card. I adhered the stamped heart over the card with foam tape (If you trim off the right side of the hearts before you adhere them, makes things easier). To finish off this card I simply added some sequins and thread.

GIVEAWAY

Hero will be giving away two $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Thursday, December 15 at 11:59pm PT and they will announce the winner the following week.

MMH_logo_1000x1197

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the My Monthly Hero kit of December! This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY December 5th at 1pm (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Kits begin shipping from Hero Arts on Monday, December 12.

The kit contains: a 4″x6″ clear stamp set, a set of 8 coordinating Frame Cuts dies that match the stamp set, two Fancy word dies – “cheers” and “party”, a set of Paper Layering dies for adding a sunburst or sparkler effect, fun new gold glitter embossing powder, Custom washi tape designed for the kit, a gold Uni-ball Gel Pen, 4 half sheets of gold foil card stock, 2 half sheets of each metallic card stock: purple, pink, dark blue and antique gold. The kit value is $65, an amazing deal at $34.99

For this special ocasion I created two cards. The first one, features images from the main kit. Check it:

120416web_cheers1

I created the background panel by simply using a sponge dauber and different colors of Hybrid inks. I love how the round sponge marks make sort of bokeh effect.  After that I stamped the bottle image over a piece of Snow layering paper, I colored it with Chameleon markers and I die cut the shape with its matching die.  I also die cut the Cheers fancy die from black card stock.

Once I had those elements ready I place them over the background panel, just to see where I was going to stamp the complementary text, little bubbles and sparks.  I used Intense Black ink to do that.  Finally, I adhered bottle and sentiment with foam tape, and I embellished with some sequins here and there.

120416web_cheers2

My second card features some of the Add-On products which I think are fabulous! Check it out:

120416web_celebrate1

This time I used the DI339 Party Confetti Fancy Die along with the dark blue metallic card stock. I adhered over a gold foil card stock panel  and then, over a Snow Layering paper card base. I used one  infinity die circle to die cut a frame for the champagne glasses, and  I gold embossed the bubbles (CM123 Birthday Celebration).  I adhered the circle over the card with foam tape.

120416web_celebrate2

Then, I die cut two of the glasses (DI343 Birthday Celebration Frame Cuts )  with Snow Layering paper and other two with gold foil card stock. I trimmed off the upper part of the gold ones with scissors, just because I wanted them to look like as if they were clinking 😉 Then I adhered the gold ones over the white ones. I   adhered them over the circle with foam tape as well. To finish off this card, I gold embossed the sentiment (CM123 Birthday Celebration) over a strip of dark blue metallic card stock, I adhered it over the circle and I embellished the card with some gold sequins.

As always Hero is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes December 11 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week. Here is the complete list of participant blogs:

There are several optional add-on items: DC200 Little Messages Stamp & Cut,
DC201 Number It Stamp & Cut , SA087 Holiday Words StencilCM122 Mini Christmas.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

On the Hero Arts site, there are also a couple of mystery “grab bags” available:
WB1101 Mystery Stocking Stuffer:  – a grab bag of 5 little Christmas-themed stamps, good for filling advent calendars or stuffing stockings!
WB1100 Mystery Treat Bag: – for tag making, so includes printed tags, a stamp, twine and an ink cube.

wb1101

The November kit was designed as a DIY, with ornaments, advent calendar containers, garlands, and lanterns (when cut-out in vellum and placed over tree lights) in mind – and beyond Christmas as party and wedding favors. This is a versatile kit that you don’t want to miss!  For today’s blog hop,  I created a card using some of the products included in the main kit. Check it out:

110616web_peacejoy1

I have always thought that simple makes wonders. For my card,  I used one blue patterned paper to create a card base. After that, I created a rectangular panel with the metallic blue card stock and I silver-embossed a sentiment. I matted the panel with vellum card stock and I adhered the panel over the card base with foam tape.

110616web_peacejoy2

Then, I die cut the triangular snowflake shape from a piece of blue metallic card stock, and I trimmed it into a triangle using a craft knife . I adhered a piece of vellum paper from behind and I adhered  the piece onto the card with foam tape as well. To finish off the card, I used a silver sequin  and twine from my stash.  Quite simple, but I think it looks very pretty.

As always Hero is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes Sunday, November 13 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week. Here is the complete list of participant blogs:

Hero Arts Summer Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the…

Hero Arts Summer Release Blog Hop

If you are coming from Lydia Fiedler’s blog you are in the right direction 😀 Today I am very excited to be part of this fun hop which marks the launch of all the new Summer products  in the Hero Arts store 😉

So as part of the celebration, I am sharing two invitations that I specially created for the Summer Catalog. This invites feature two new awesome sets:  Invitation Themes and Party Themes.

050916web_invites

These two sets include lots of sentiments, and they can be used to complement each other. Are you having a celebration soon? Well, with this pair you can customize your invitations the way you need.

050916web_invites3

The designs of the invites I am sharing today are quite simple; on both of them I used a Snow layering paper panel over a mat of Daffodil and Iris layering paper colors respectively.  On the first sample I used a fun woodblock stamp called Piñata which was stamped over the main panel  with  Neon Chartreuse to Blue Ink. I complemented it with some banners from Make a Wish Birthday stamp set, a main sentiment, as well as the information sentiments.

050916web_invites2

On the second sample, I used some images from a stamp set called Town Essentials along with Neon Red to Purple ink. I also stamped a main sentiment, and information sentiments. On both of the invites I used gemstones as the final touches.

Well, that’ all from me today. Your next hop stop will be the talented May Sukyong ParkPlease be sure to visit all the participant blogs for more inspiration and for the chance to win a fabulous prize:

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop

MMH_logo_1000x1197

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the MMH kit of April!  This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY April 4th at 1pm (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

This new kit contains: a 4×6 clear stamp set, a set of four Frame Cuts dies (designed to cut and stack the flower into a layered element), a Paper Layering die (which allows you to pop-up a single stamped rose for a different dimensional look), a dot sheet of DANIEL SMITH watercolors in a palette specifically selected for Hero Arts (each dot of paint allows watercoloring of 2-3 images, to give you an introduction to these wonderful paints), a water brush, and heavy cardstock in cream and white, notecards and pearls. Please take a look:

MH105_main_kit.jpg

There are 3 optional add-on items:  Happy Mother’s Day stamp set, Happy Mother’s Day Frame Cuts, and the fabolous DANIEL SMITH watercolor paints in 15ml tubes (18 colors in all which are the colors used on the Hero Arts Palette dot sheet.)

So for today I created a card, featuring the main stamp set, and some of the watercolor paints. I have to point out, that these watercolor paints are high quality and they are available in a wide variety of wonderful colors. I loved the dots sheet that is included in this month’s kit, because it is a great way to see how each of the colors work. The colors are really pretty, and it is hard to decide which one to use 😀

Anyway, I began by heat-embossing the image of the flower  and leaves a couple times over the heavy card stock with Brass embossing powder. Then, I colored the images with Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Siena, and Serpentine Genuine paints. After that I fussy cut the images (you can use the frame cuts instead).

040116web_thankyouforbeing2

I also heat-embossed some of the leaves and a flower bud over a heavy card stock panel. Then, I colored the images and I created a subtle background with Cerulean Blue.

040116web_thankyouforbeing3

Additionally, I stamped the sentiment one the panel with Intense Black ink, and I arranged the flower pieces over the panel with foam tape. At the end, I simply adhered the panel over a card base, and I embellished the card with some soft green pearls.

So today as part of this fabulous release,  I created a card featuring one of the images from the add-on stamp set Marianne’s Flowers…

030516web_hellobeautifulok

I created the background using Dusty Concord Distress ink and a sponge. Then, I splatter water with a small brush, and after it was dried  I adhered the panel over a card base. To create the focal point, I stamped the flower over white card stock with Intense Black Ink (one of my current favorite products) and I colored the image using my Chameleon markers. I love the effect that you can achieve with these markers. You can always use your favorite markers or technique to color these wonderful images 🙂

030516web_hellobeautiful3

After that, I fussy-cut the image with scissors. Then, I white-embossed a sentiment (For You Flowers stamp set) on a black paper strip and I adhered the piece along with some decorative tape over the main panel.  I adhered the flower with foam tape and I embellished the card with some black pearls and gemstones.

So as part of the celebration, I  made a card featuring a set called: Mason Jar Bugs

020616web_lovebug5

First, I created the main panel of my card with  watercolor paper. I created the watercolor background using three colors of Gelatos (pink, purple, blue). Then, I stamped the Mason jar image with the new Intense Black Ink. I have to point out that this new ink is alcohol-marker friendly 🙂 🙂 🙂 I love that.  After that, I matted the panel with a layering paper rectangle (Azure Color), and I stitched the edges.

020616web_lovebug4

Next, I stamped the bugs images with Intense Black Ink, and I colored them with alcohol markers on a piece of watercolor paper. Then, I die cut the images with its matching dies.  I adhered them onto the panel with foam squares. Then, using Passion Flower Mid-Tone Shadow Ink,  I stamped Garden Bold Prints over a folded card (Iris color). Next, I adhered the main panel over the card base. mg_noteworthyA1024x1024

I created a card base from Oatmeal Cookie card stock, and then I simply adhered a few Noteworthy patterned paper strips. Then I stamped the sentiment over a wide strip of white card stock and I adhered it over the thin strips with foam squares. At the end, I embellished the card with some golden sequins, clear gemstones and I put Journey Glaze over the word Thanks.

mg_noteworthyC1024x1024

I complemented this thank you card, with a pillow box, where you can put a gift card inside, or even some chocolates or candy.  I created it by using one of the 6″x 6″ sheets of the patterned paper pack and a pillow box punch board. I stamped a short sentiment onto a little tag with black ink and I also put Journey Glaze over the word. I tied a ribbon bow and I added the tag with a piece of linen thread.
