FSJ • Choose to Be Grateful + 10K Celebration Challenge

Hi there! Today I am sharing a card that I created using a cute stamp set from the Journey Holidays mini catalog by FSJ. This set is called Thankful Friends and I really like the little fox included in it.

I began by creating the main image and sentiment. To achieve the subtle ombré effect of the image, I inked it with three colors: Citrus Cooler, Tangerine Fusion and a bit of Pumpkin Bread, and then,  I die cut it with its matching die. Next, I stamped the hat and scarf with Blue Lagoon True Color Fusion Ink over a piece of  Cool Pool cardstock; I fussy cut the stamped images with scissors, and adhered them over the fox.

I also stamped the sentiment with Hazelnut Blend True Color Fusion ink and die cut with its matching die as well. After that, I  adhered them over a Whip Cream hexagon shape with foam squares.

For this card, I used a Blue Lagoon base card, and a Pineapple Smoothie rectangle. This rectangle was embossed with the Tiny Dots embossing folder and then I rubbed the Whip Cream pigment ink pad over, to enhanced the dots. Additionally, I used a Pool Play Sparkle tape and Gift Twine.

I adhered the hexagon onto the card with foam squares and I adhered a few Fashion Silver pearls here and there. Here you have the color combo I used for this card:

FSJ • Have a Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Just really quick today to share a Halloween card using a Fun Stampers Journey AT stamp set called Happy Pumpkin. Take a look:

102918web_HappyHalloweenok

The layout for this card is simple. I used a Black Licorice base card, and a Cool Pool Tag. I added Journey tape and I pierced a Zig Zag using the new Basics Piercing template.  The pumpkin was simply stamped with Black Licorice ink and colored with Liquid Colors.

The sentiment was white-embossed over a piece of Black Licorice cardstock and then, I die cut it with its matching die. Sentiment and image were adhered onto the card with foam squares.

As the final touches I used a couple of Spooky Eve Stickers, sequins, a mini paper clip and of course some Silk splatters.

FSJ • Thankful for You

A couple weeks ago I started my Fall crafting,  so today I am sharing one of those projects.  I used one pretty stamp set called: Thankful Friends among other great Fun Stampers Journey products:

102218web_thankful2

This set includes two solid critter stamps (a squirrel and a fox) that I love because you can create an ombré effect over the image. I used two colors to do so, Pumpkin Bread and Hazelnut Blend. This is quite an easy technique that with a bit of practice can be mastered.  I also stamped a scarf for the cute squirrel, using Green Olive ink over Whip Cream cardstock. Additionally, I stamped  the hot cocoa cup with Candy Apple ink and a sentiment over a circle shape.

102218web_thankful1

I die cut a couple of  Pretty Leaves from Tangerine Fusion and Green Olive cardstock. I paired them with Simply Gold tape over a strip of Haystack cardstock. Then I added Gift twine, silk splatters, gold sequins and Gold Fashion pearls.

The Block Party promotion at Fun Stampers Journey is about to come to an end. Right now, all the acrylic blocks have a 20% discount. So hurry, you still have a couple of days to get them!

FSJ • Happy WCMD! • Every Moment Matters

Just wanted to pop in to wish you a Happy Word Card Making Day! Last night in northern Illinois we had lots of rain, thunderstorms and lightning, so today we woke up to a cloudy day…. the kind of day that makes you want to wear your pj’s and craft all day! Well, no matter what kind of weather you have,  today we celebrate WCMD creating  cards and sharing them with the crafty world.

So today I am sharing a card that I created using a pretty Fun Stampers Journey AT set called: Every Moment .

100518web_everythingok3

I created the background using the shaving cream technique along with Liquid Colors. Liquid Colors are one of my favorite products, and I consider them a “must have FSJ product” because you can use them to color images, and create outstanding backgrounds too! After my background panel was dried,  I adhered it to a card base, and then I used my sewing machine to add stitches along the edges.

100518web_everythingok2

I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice ink over a Special Day Tag. The pretty bloom was stamped with two colors of ink (Sweet Berry and Limeade Splash) and then, die cut with its matching die.  I adhered it over the tag with foam squares and then the tag over the card using foam squares as well. The final touches… a couples of strips of Journey Sparkle Tape and a few Pink World sequins.  Fun and simple! Did you create a card to celebrate WCMD?

On another note, the promotion of the month at Fun Stampers Journey is called: Block Party.  All the acrylic blocks have a 20% discount! For more details about it please click on the image below:

FSJ • Happy Halloween Card

Halloween is around the corner, and there is still plenty of time to begin creating your Halloween projects. There is a particular stamp set Journey Holiday Mini Trends Catalog that I really like and it is called Skeletons Dance. The images are quite fun and they can be used to create cards, scrapbook pages or many tags for goodie bags.  So, I created a card using two of the cute skeletons.  Take a look:

HappyHalloween091518

I started this project by creating a card base from Black Licorice cardstock. Then I adhered a Whip Cream cardstock panel over the card.  This panel measures 5.5″ x 3.75″, so that way I left a bit of black color showing on top and a bit more on the bottom. After that, I die cut a stitched circle from Electric Lime cardstock, and the tree silhouette from the Spooksville die set using Black Licorice cardstock. I layered both and put them over my card base.

The sentiment that I used is from another pretty set called Eyes on You. I placed the sentiment over my acrylic block slightly bending the stamp as I placed it over trying to mimic the curve of the stitched circle (It helps if you first put your acrylic block over the green circle, and since the acrylic block is clear, you can see the circle underneath).

HappyHalloween0915182

Next, I  simply stamped two cute skeletons with Black Licorice Ink over Whip Cream cardstock and then, I die cut them with their matching dies. It is so nice to have matching dies! I adhered them using Journey Foam squares and I added some Spooky Eve Stickers to complement the scene along with silk splatters and a tiny paper clip.

Please remember that the Crush on Color promotion is available thru the month of September, and this is a good chance to get some of the colors you might have on your wishlist. For more details about it click on the image below:

FSJ • Happy Birthday Card

Happy Monday, friends! The Party Pop color family  from Fun Stampers Journey is one of my favorites. Although, I have to say that all of the six family colors that are available are great and it is difficult to choose just one! So, today I am sharing a card that I created using some colors from the Party Pop family, and a fun stamp set called Birthday Pop:

091518web_HappyBrithday

This set includes different sizes of balloons that perfectly match a die set called Uplift.  I used Watermelon Fusion, Lemon Drop, Limeade Splash, Tangerine Fusion and Candy Apple True Color Fusion ink colors to stamp the balloons and tiny stars.

I also stamped one of the sentiments included in the same set with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink, and as the final touch, I used a couple of Party Burst Dots, a couple pieces of Journey tape, a Paper Clip Element and Gift Twine (I love this twine).

Please remember that the Crush on Color promotion is available thru the month of September, and this is a good chance to get some of the colors you might have on your wishlist. For more details about it click on the image below:

FSJ • Thank You Card

This month’s promotion at Fun Stampers Journey is called Crush of Color and it is all about colors! All the solid cardstock colors along with their coordinating ink pads have a 20% discount this month! Additionally, each week they are showcasing one or two of the FSJ color families, and adding some amazing coordinating bundles. So please be sure to hop over to their website and FB page to see more details and inspiration.

So Today I am sharing a project that I created using some pretty cardstock and ink colors. To create this card, I used a stamp set called Poppy Days. The images of this set can be layered to create a couple of different blooms, take a look:

090818web_thankyou5

I only used two of layers of one of the blooms, so the first layer was stamped with Pineapple Smoothie and Bubblegum inks over a Whip Cream  panel, and then the second layer was stamped with Black Licorice ink.  After that, I simply adhered this panel over a Fresh Sage card base.

090818web_thankyou6

For the flower I used a Host Exclusive die set called Bold Bloom. Before I die cut the layers of the flower I created the lines of the petals on a piece of Whip Cream cardstock by using the the Bubblegum ink pad edge to make some clockwise marks.  After that, I die cut the bloom layers.

Additionally, I inked the edges of the blooms using a sponge dauber. After that, I layered the flower.  I added a Bubblegum cardstock banner and a sentiment from a set called Everyday Script to complement the card.
