FSJ • All Hallows’ Eve Card

Hello friends, I am back today to share a card that I created using some Fun Stampers Journey products.  I want to point out that this time I  used a simple and fun  SplitcoastStamper sketch (SCS664) to create my card.

The stamp set that I used is called Hallows’Eve and it is  included in the Journey Holiday Mini. I want to mention that this set is a Host Exclusive product. To learn more about how to host a Make-It Party, please click >HERE<  This set in particular is a large set with thirty one stamps. All the images included are very cute and they are perfect to use for Halloween themed projects.

I also used a background stamp called Widow’s Web, and I simply stamped it with Tangerine Fusion ink over Citrus Cooler cardstock. The little figures were stamped with  Black Licorice ink  onto Whip Cream cardstock.  I added some details with Journey Color Splash watercolor pencils and then cut trimmed the tiny images with scissors.

To create an ombré effect for the the little spooky house image, I inked the stamp with three different tones of purple (Pretty Amethyst, Lavender Fusion and Grape Fusion). Then,  I stamped the sentiment over a pierced oval matted with a larger vellum oval.   I layered all the elements of the card and I added a few other things to complement the cute scene: Journey tape, sequins and Sparkle silk.

By the way, a new fun promotion has started at Fun Stampers Journey, check it out:

FSJ • Trick or Treat Card

Hi there! I am back today to share a card that I made using some Halloween theme products by Fun Stampers Journey. I like when I make cards that can be easily mass produced for friends and family. The stamp set that I used is from the new Journey Holidays Mini that was released last month. Its name is Holidays Celebrations and is one of my favorites because it includes stamps for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

I also used a background stamp called WIdow’s Web, and I simply stamped it onto a Tangerine Fusion cardstock panel with Black Licorice Ink. Then, I adhered this panel a little bit tilted over a Black Licorice base card . I created the focal point by stamping the Trick or Treat stamp over Whip Cream cardstock with Black Licorice Ink, and then I fussy cut the image with scissors.

I adhered this piece onto an pierced oval with foam squares, and I adhered the piece over the card. Finally, I embellished the card with Black Licorice Twine Twist, staples, sequins, and Sparkle silk. Quite easy and fun to make.

Please don’t forget that the Fun Stampers Ink Promotion is still  open until the end of the month, so this is a great opportunity to add some more colors to your stash 🙂

FSJ • Happy Halloween Card

Hi there! The Fun Stampers Journey Holidays Mini was recently released, and let me tell you that there are a lot of new products that you are going to love.  The products are just perfect for the coming Fall and Winter celebrations, so even though those dates seems to be far away from now, we are still in time to make a wish list and order some of those fantastic products for our projects. This catalog is available through your FSJ Coach or you can take a peek online by clicking >>>HERE<<.

For today I made a Halloween card using the candy corn image from a fun set called: Halloween Silhouette as well as some other FSJ products. Yyou will find the supplies list at the end of this post 😀

081217web_candycorn

To create the candy corn shapes, I stamped the image twice onto Whip Cream cardstock using Lemon Drop and Tangerine Fusion inks. I stamped a third image to make a template. I cut out the bottom part, middle part of the images  and template with scissors.

After that, I glued the yellow and orange parts over a piece of Whip Cream cardstock, and I traced the upper part of the candy corn using the template and a pencil. Then, I cut out the candy corn with scissors. I created three candy corn.

mg_DSC_0093

For the background I used the striped Wall stamp but instead of using it as vertical lines I used it as horizontal lines. The sentiment that I used is included in one of the Host Exclusives stamp sets included in the same catalog, and it is called: Hallows Eve.  I simply white embossed it onto a Black Licorice rectangle.

To finish off my card, I die cut some vellum circles, and used some sequins and Black Licorice as the final touches on it.

Please don’t forget that the Fun Stampers Ink Promotion is open until the end of the month, so this is a great opportunity to add some more colors to your stash 🙂

FSJ • Give Thanks Card

The Journey Holidays Inspiration and Trends Mini Catalog is amazing. This catalog features stamps perfect to create any kind of projects for the current festivities. I created a card showcasing some of the Thanksgiving products.  You can find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

111416web_givethanks

I used a turkey and sentiment images included in a set called Thanksgiving Traditions. I thought that turkey is super cute, just because it reminds me of the wild turkeys that you can see around this area 🙂 Anyhow,   I used the Autumn Prints to cover the panel. This is a quick and easy way to speed your card projects 🙂 Then, I added the stitches details along the sides with a die included in a set called Pocket Cuts Die Set . With the same set I created the square panel that I used to stamp the sentiment. I tilted it to look like a rhombus 😉

111416web_givethanks2

The Turkey was simply stamped over Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock and die cut with its matching die. I created a cluster of elements along with the turkey with some leaves that I die cut using a small leaf die that belongs to a die set called Snapshot Frames  (I love this die set!) Additionally, I included ribbon, some gold elements, Journey Glaze  and Gold silk details here and there.

If you haven’t seen  The Journey Holidays Inspiration and Trends Mini Catalog, be sure to take a look of the fabulous products included in it. All the products are available through a Coach. There is a link over the Fun Stampers Journey site where you can find one in your area.

FSJ • November Planner Pages

Hey there! I have a couple of planner pages that I want to share with you today. These pages were created using a bunch of products by Fun Stampers Journey.  The Be the Journey Trends Mini Catalog is filled with awesome new products, just perfect to decorate and plan your everyday activities and important celebrations.

110916web_plannertgI created these pages for the week of Thanksgiving and I used the Receipt Pocket as the main component to hold receipts, coupons, etc. that I am going to be using during those days.  This die is   one of my favorites just because is very useful, and you can decorate it as you wish.

110916web_plannertg3

You can make a good use of any of your other FSJ stamps and embellishments when creating your pages.  Additionally to the pocket page, I made a partial middle page from card stock to hold a little list of things to complete on one side, and a Thanksgiving card on the other side.

110916web_plannertg2

I like to use regular stamps combined with the new planner stamps, that are just the perfect size to add some extra details to your notes. I have to confess that making planner pages can be a lot of fun, specially because there are no rules.

110916web_plannertg8

Besides that, you can always use some of your other FSJ dies to add more details onto your pages…

110916web_plannertg4Details like thread, paper clips and silk here are just a few of the endless possibilities that planner pages can have.

110916web_plannertg5

I f you haven’t experimented with this (wink, wink) I highly recommend you to give it a try. Super fun indeed. Please refer to the list at the end of this post to  find the name of the products that I used for this project.

STAMPtember® Exclusive: Hero Arts

exclusive_hero-arts-01

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today is the STAMPtember® Exclusive release of a fun set by Hero Arts for Simon Says Stamp. As part of the festivities I was kindly invited to play with this FABULOUS stamp & die combo called Happy Thanksgiving (available while supplies last).

sss101672
This stamp & die combo is just perfect to create Thanksgiving cards and other Fall projects.  I love that you have different additional words that you can mix to create different messages, and it also includes a die-cut sentiment  and a few cute images:)

092016web_thanksg1

I used the Crossing Waves Stencil and Tangerine Hybrid Ink to create a background on a Snow folded card. I stamped the words “thanks giving” over a piece of Snow Layering Paper using the Ombré Autumn ink. I complemented the sentiment with the word “happy”which I stamped with Intense Black ink. I die cut this panel into a circle using the new Circle Infinity Dies.

092016web_thanksg2

I adhered the circle onto the card base with foam tape, and I complemented it with some of the small images colored with Copics. To finish off my card,  I embellished it with a few gemstones and some sequins.

Did you know that SSS is having a huge $5,000 Dream Craft Room Giveaway this month as part of the celebration?   All you need to do to register is enter your info here:  http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/giveawayrules/

Today’s Card: Happy, Happy Halloween

HI! Today I have a short post just to share a card showcasing some products included in the 2016 Winter Catalog by Hero Arts.

092016web_hhallow1

The stamp & cut set that I used is called Kelly’s Monster. I simply stamped the image and sentiment over a piece os Snow Layering Paper with Intense Black ink. The cute monster was colored the  with Copics and I die cut it with its matching frame. I die cut the sentiment as well.

092016web_hhallow2

I used the Spider Web stencil to create a background over a Gray panel. I used Wet Cement Ink and a sponge dauber to do so. I matted the panel with Grass Layering paper and I adhered the panel over a Black Folded card. I adhered the monster and sentiment with foam tape. I stamped a few bats over the background to complement the scene and finally, I embellished the card with Baker’s twine and a few Glossy Accents details.
