FSJ • Christmas Card

Happy Monday everyone! I am starting this week with a Christmas card that I made using Fun Stampers Journey  products. This card features the Classic Ornaments Stamp and Die Set, which is one of my favorites. I have to point out that this set will retire December 31st.

Please remember that Fun Stampers Journey products can be purchase through a coach in your area. To find one near you, click on the “Find a Coach” button on the top of the Fun Stampers Journey welcome page.

I began by creating a base card from Green Olive card stock. Then,  I adhered a rectangle of ‘Tis the Season Prints  onto the base card. Patterned papers are always a good way to speed up your projects, specially if you are making more than one card 😉  After that, I silver-embossed the sentiment on a Candy Apple card stock strip, and I adhered it onto the card with foam squares.

121716web_christmas2

The pretty dove want simply stamped with Green Olive ink over Whip Cream card stock, and die-cut with its matching frame. I adhered it over the card with foam squares as well. Finally, I embellished the card witha piece of  Be Cool Journey Tape, sequins, silver thread, Journey Glaze and Sparkle Cuts details. Tip: to keep the thread on place, I stapled it on each side with a Brush Silver Staple, and I add a dot of Journey Glaze underneath the thread bow.

FSJ• Brrr! Snow Buddy Card

Hello! This is the time of the year when the days are very cold, and the only thing you want to  do is to stay home! Today I had the perfect excuse to stay home and craft for a little bit, so I created  a card  featuring some Fun Stampers Journey products. The stamp set that I used is called Snow Buddy and I have to point out that this is a set that has a coordinating die set. You can buy them separately or as a bundle! Fun Stampers Journey products can be purchase through a coach in your area. To find one near you, click on the “Find a Coach” button on the top of the Fun Stampers Journey welcome page.

121116web_brr

I began by using a Color Splash Sheet and Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils to create the background of this card.  I wasn’t sure how to cover a large area with color, so I had to practice a little bit, and I ended up just doing long strokes of color from top to bottom using a large Blending Brush . I did first a layer of blue, and then red. I repeated the steps until I was pleased with the results. After that, I white-embossed the snowflakes. Then,  I matted this panel with Cranberry Bliss card stock. I tied Journey Twine Licorice Twist around the background panel and I adhered it over a Huckleberry Fusion base card.

121116web_brr2

The cute buddy was simply stamped over Whip Cream card stock with Black Licorice ink, and colored with watercolor pencils as well.  I  die cut it with its matching die, and I added Journey Glaze and Sparkle Cuts details. Then, I adhered this piece onto the card with foam squares. Finally, I added a sentiment, some Holiday Elements, sequins and rhinestones.

Yesterday we had some snow, not a lot, but just enough to make me want to stay home. My husband and I took our Shelby for a walk this morning (she is always happy to go outside.)  We are having  a second round of snow, and temperatures will drop drastically by Wednesday 😦 For sure we will all be bundled up like the little buddy of my card 🙂

For this special ocasion I created two cards. The first one, features images from the main kit. Check it:

120416web_cheers1

I created the background panel by simply using a sponge dauber and different colors of Hybrid inks. I love how the round sponge marks make sort of bokeh effect.  After that I stamped the bottle image over a piece of Snow layering paper, I colored it with Chameleon markers and I die cut the shape with its matching die.  I also die cut the Cheers fancy die from black card stock.

Once I had those elements ready I place them over the background panel, just to see where I was going to stamp the complementary text, little bubbles and sparks.  I used Intense Black ink to do that.  Finally, I adhered bottle and sentiment with foam tape, and I embellished with some sequins here and there.

120416web_cheers2

My second card features some of the Add-On products which I think are fabulous! Check it out:

120416web_celebrate1

This time I used the DI339 Party Confetti Fancy Die along with the dark blue metallic card stock. I adhered over a gold foil card stock panel  and then, over a Snow Layering paper card base. I used one  infinity die circle to die cut a frame for the champagne glasses, and  I gold embossed the bubbles (CM123 Birthday Celebration).  I adhered the circle over the card with foam tape.

120416web_celebrate2

Then, I die cut two of the glasses (DI343 Birthday Celebration Frame Cuts )  with Snow Layering paper and other two with gold foil card stock. I trimmed off the upper part of the gold ones with scissors, just because I wanted them to look like as if they were clinking 😉 Then I adhered the gold ones over the white ones. I   adhered them over the circle with foam tape as well. To finish off this card, I gold embossed the sentiment (CM123 Birthday Celebration) over a strip of dark blue metallic card stock, I adhered it over the circle and I embellished the card with some gold sequins.

As always Hero is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes December 11 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week. Here is the complete list of participant blogs:

Today’s Card: Christmas Wishes

This is the time of the year that I start  gathering the Christmas cards that I have made so far, in order so send them to my friends. In past years, I have selected a card design that I really like and I have mass-produced it. Well,  for the last couple of years I have been busier than normal,  so I have opted for sending only  the cards that I have. I like selecting the cards I believe my friends would like, and then I write a few lines for each of them. Anyway, today I am sharing a simple card that I made using some Hero Arts products.

113016web_christmaswishes

To create the background I used the Calendar Bold Prints stamp using Unicorn Pigment Ink over a Blush Mix Layering paper panel. I adhered this panel over a card base.

113016web_christmaswishes2

To create the main panel, I used a very pretty  stamp set  called Vintage Christmas Wishes. I simply stamped the images using different colors of ink over a Snow Layering paper panel (Moss Hybrid Ink, Caramel Hybrid Ink, Soft Granite Shadow Ink, and Intense Black ink). Then, I tied a Bakers twine bow, and I matted the panel with Kraft card stock. I adhered the panel over the card base, and after that,  I simply embellished the card with gemstones, sequins and  Glossy Accents.

Hopefully this year I can send my cards by the end of the second week of December. How about you? Do you like to make different designs  or only one? Are you still in the process of making your Holiday cards?

Well, that’s all from me for today, I’ll be back soon to share another project.

Thanks for stopping by:) Have a wonderful crafty rest of the  week!

FSJ • Season’s Greetings Card

Hello everyone! I am back today just to share a card that features a stamp set bundle called Robin Holiday, and I paired it with some other fabulous products by Fun Stampers Journey.

112216web_seasonsgreetings5

The stamp  set includes two pretty Robin images as well as some matching sentiments. These are the perfect images to color using your favorite coloring technique. In this case I used the Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils, which are super fun to use.

Anyway, I began by creating a card base, and a stamped background panel. The background stamp that I used is called  Striped Love Stamp . This large background was stamped over Cool Pool card stock with Cool Pool ink. Then I layered it over the card base. I created a pierced panel using the Pocket Cuts die set and Whip Cream card stock. I adhered this panel over the background.

112216web_seasonsgreetings6

I stamped the pretty bird over Whip Cream card stock with Black Licorice Ink. These images are quite detailed, so this makes the coloring part even easier. After the coloring part was done, I die cut the image with its matching die.  I also stamped a sentiment over Whip Cream card stock and I die cut it into an oval.

112216web_seasonsgreetings4

Using Journey Thread Gold I created a couple loops onto the card, and then I adhered the bird image and sentiment using some Journey Foam Squares.  To finish off this card,  I flicked Gold silk over it,  I added some Journey Glaze and Sparkle cuts details, as well as some  Holiday Sequins.

Please be sure to visit the Fun Stampers Blog for inspiration, tips and ideas. They are  currently  having a promotion on planners and products now through December 31st.  The have put together bundles,  either size personal or the A5 planner (like the one I am showing today).  Please be sure to visit the FSJ store to see the amazing  bundles by clicking on the image below:

FSJ • December Planner Pages

I have been planning a little bit ahead for the coming Winter break just because we will spend some of those days visiting good friends in Florida, so I prepared a couple of pages for that specific week. I decorated these pages more than normal, thinking that maybe I can use some of the components  as part of a Christmas scrapbooking layout, that I will be making after the Holidays.

112216web_plannerbuffet6

To begin, I partially covered the days of the week on the left with card stock, just to make them different, and I stamped a few images here and there. I also adhered a border over the rings side.  As you can see, I haven’t finished writing everything because I am still in the planning stage of the activities with our friends 🙂 The planner that I am using today is a size A5, which is bigger with lots of space for your notes.

112216web_plannerbuffet4

Between the two pages of the week, I included and acetate page, which was layered with a Holiday prints panel and a Notebook page. I embellished that side with a stamped image, a paper clip and sequins.  If I need more space for a list or notes, I can always use the back of the printed paper to add another notebook page 🙂

112216web_plannerbuffet1

The right side shows the Fun Sleeve shape.  I love this die template. You can embellish it as you wish and use it to keep important little things there. I am going to use it to hold the tickets of the places that we are going to visit.

112216web_plannerbuffet3

Just by  adding small details like the paper clip and scalloped edge, you can enhance your projects, it is fun and sometimes paper scraps work perfectly for this purpose.

112216web_plannerbuffet5

Behind the sleeve, I included another partial page that holds a photo frame. This is another of my favorites die templates!  I decorated it  with a few die cut elements, drops and sequins. Making you planner pages can be so much fun! 🙂

FSJ • Give Thanks Card

The Journey Holidays Inspiration and Trends Mini Catalog is amazing. This catalog features stamps perfect to create any kind of projects for the current festivities. I created a card showcasing some of the Thanksgiving products.  You can find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

111416web_givethanks

I used a turkey and sentiment images included in a set called Thanksgiving Traditions. I thought that turkey is super cute, just because it reminds me of the wild turkeys that you can see around this area 🙂 Anyhow,   I used the Autumn Prints to cover the panel. This is a quick and easy way to speed your card projects 🙂 Then, I added the stitches details along the sides with a die included in a set called Pocket Cuts Die Set . With the same set I created the square panel that I used to stamp the sentiment. I tilted it to look like a rhombus 😉

111416web_givethanks2

The Turkey was simply stamped over Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock and die cut with its matching die. I created a cluster of elements along with the turkey with some leaves that I die cut using a small leaf die that belongs to a die set called Snapshot Frames  (I love this die set!) Additionally, I included ribbon, some gold elements, Journey Glaze  and Gold silk details here and there.

If you haven’t seen  The Journey Holidays Inspiration and Trends Mini Catalog, be sure to take a look of the fabulous products included in it. All the products are available through a Coach. There is a link over the Fun Stampers Journey site where you can find one in your area.
