Hello friends! As you all know, at Fun Stampers Journeywe begin the month with a new Stamp of the Month. The name of this new set is Friendship Blessingand it features wonderful floral images along with some nice sentiments. This is one of those sets that you can use all year round using any of your favorite stamping and coloring techniques.
Here is the card that I created for this release:
I began this card by adhering a plaid paper print rectangle (Good Life Prints) over a Rustic Rose cardstock folded card. I stamped the flower with Rustic Rose ink and the leaves with Green Olive ink. Then, I die cut the images with their matching die cuts. I also die cut alarge circle and I stamped the berries image and the sentiment on it. After that, I arranged the stamped images on the left side and adhered them with foam squares.
I adhered the circle over the folded card with foam squares, and then I flicked Sparkle Silk and added some sequins. The stamps are so pretty that even with just using different colors of ink can make your cards look very nice.
Anyway, you will find a lot of wonderful inspiration and more details about the August SOTM over the Spellbinders-FSJ blog, and a great video for you to WATCH.
Hello friends! Quick post today just to share a simple card that I created using a pretty stamp from theJane Davenportcollection by Spellbinders. This clear stamp is called Girl Group and it is perfect to color using your favorite coloring technique, take a look:
Oh, Yes! Fun Stampers Journey has just released their new Holiday Cheer Collection, and it it amazing!
The Holidays Season is not far from now, and obviously we all like having new products to begin creating for those important months to come. So today I am sharing two products that I created using two of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Cheerrelease.
My first card features a very cute set called Yeti Confetti. This is a fun set that includes images that you can use all along the Winter season. So, here you have it:
To create the background I used Lovely Blue Liquid Color along with shaving cream. I made a mix with those and transferred a bit of the the mix over an acrylic block, just enough to make a rectangular mark. Then I placed the block over a Whip Cream panel, removed the excess and let it dry.
The second card features one ATS stamp called Fall Thanksand it includes a big solid sentiment along with some small Fall related images. Take a look:
To create the background I used the same technique as the one from my first card, but this time using two different liquid colors. Quick and easy. So, for the beautiful sentiment I used one of the Create-a-Palette pads to create my own combo of Liquid Colors, and I used it to ink the large sentiment.
I adhered this frame over the background panel, and then I adhered the sentiment with Journey squares. I finished up this card with some Sparkle Silk (a must have FSJ product!) and some Fashion Silverpearls.
I highly recommend you to to see the >>>new Holiday Cheer catalog <<< There are a lot of new stamps and lots of inspiration for you. If you missed the launch show, you can watch it by clicking >>> HERE <<< there were Guest designers, amazing card designs and a lot of fun.
Today we are celebrating the release of the two new Summer Collections by FSJ:Splash ZoneandStarry Night! As part of this release, Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey have organized a fun blog hop where you will find lots of inspiration created by talented crafters who have used the products from the two new collections and created with their unique styles and different techniques, many amazing projects.
Blog hops are always a blast so I was more than happy to create a couple of cards for this special occasion. My first card features a darling set called: Make Waves stamp set. This set includes mermaids and ocean creatures images along with some cute sentiments.
To create the background of this card I used the Splash Zone stencil. I used it like you normally use a stencil to create a subtle background and I also used it to emboss a cardstock panel.
I colored the mermaids using the Journey Color Splash Watercolor pencils and a brush . It doesn’t really matter what technique you choose to color the images, those mermaids are so pretty that what it really matters is that you enjoy the coloring part!
Anyway, I also added some of the new sequins included in the Splash Zone sequins jar to complement the scene. I really love the combination of colors of the sequins included in the jar!
My second card features a fun set called Shark Attack. This set is so much fun. It includes different sharks and cute sentiments that are just perfect to create fun projects. I created a two tone background panel and I matted it with a fun frame called Film Frame, then I adhered them over a folded card.
For this card I opted for simply stamping the images over River Stone cardstock with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink, and then I use my white Journey Color Burst color pencil to enhance some of the edges of the sharks and teeth. This is such a great way to add dimension with no effort!
To finish up this card, I white embossed the sentiment over a Black Licorice cardstock strip and then, I added some sequins from the Starry Night Sequins jar (which I thought matched better the colors of my card).
To celebrate this release, we are giving away a $50 gift certificate to one lucky blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes on Monday, July 1st, 11:59 pm EDT. Winners will be announced in our blog hop post the following Tuesday. (The winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties, and taxes.)
Well, here you have the complete list of participant blogs, so good luck to you!

Well, that’s all from me today. I´ll be back soon to share another project. Thanks for stopping by Have a wonderful crafty weekend!
Hello friends! It has been a week since I am officially on vacation and have kept myself busy doing projects at home like making a cushion for my craftroom chair, decorating my laundry room, and re-organizing my craft-room. I will share some pictures on future posts soon. Today, I want to share a card with you that I created using some Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey products I have. This card really kind of makes me want to go to Arizona and enjoy dry hot weather for at least a few days. The weather here in Illinois hasn’t improved much. Rain, rain and more rain. A few warm days here and there, but it has been so ridiculously crazy that I have to still wear a light sweater… (sigh).
Anyway, for my project I used an acrylic block, the Gel Pressand Liquid Colors to create the background square. I put Lemon Drop and Candy Apple liquid colors over the gel press and I spread them with a brush plus a bit of water. I picked up the color with the block, and I stamp with it over a Whip Cream panel. It takes a few tries to get to the ideal effect, but I can say that it is a lot of fun to try.
I used the Potted Cacti die set and a piece of whip Cream cardstock (which was one of my mixed media experiments), so I used it to die cut the cacti from it. If you happen to be like me, that keeps some of your mixed media experiments, this can be a good way to use them.
This is just a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Memorial day and to share a card that I created using a fabulous Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called Old Glory, which is perfect to create project for important days like today or the 4th of July:
The color combo that I used for today’s card is Pool Play, Catalina Splash, Candy Apple and Whip Cream. I created a simple background with the word “Liberty” and I placed it diagonally over a folded card. I also stamped the stars and stripes strips and placed them over the background. I die cut a couple of circles from Whip Cream cardstock, and I stamped the sentiment over one of them.
I stamped the different elements over Whip Cream cardstock and I die cut them with their matching die. I arranged them over the card and I finished it up with Sparkle Silk, silver pearls and a red star dot.
Well, I hope you all have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, and maybe can attend to a parade or event to honor the brave men and women who have died serving our country.

Hello friends! Today I want to share a card that I created using a fun die set by Spellbinders. This is the small die of the month (January), and it is called First Crush. I really enjoyed putting this card together.. it kind of reminded me about my childhood paper dolls… I loved to use my scissors to cut out all the clothes and accessories for my dolls, so much fun back then….(sigh) Anyway, here is the card I made:
The die set includes twenty one pieces that can be use to create a boy or a girl, and it is up to you to choose the color of their hair and clothes. I used Fun Stampers Journey cardstock colors for mine. You can find the complete list of cardstock colors that I used for this card at the end of this post.
The boy’s hair was die cut from Hazelnut Blend cardstock and I enhanced the ridges by rubbing Cocoa Powder ink pad over it. For the girl, I used Tangerine Fusion cardstock and I enhanced it with the same color of ink.
I added a star and a heart stickers over their clothes, just as an extra detail. I also used the Heart balloon shape (included in the set) but I trimmed out the bottom part with scissors to make it into a plain heart tag. Then, I stamped a sentiment over it. I layered the dolls and tag onto a SB Fancy Edged Oval, and then onto card base. I won’t say it was a quick card, since there are lots of little pieces to put together, but I will say that it was a lot of fun to do it!
The focal point was created by Stamping the image over a Whip Cream circle with Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink. Then, I white-embossed a second image over vellum. After that, I placed the embossed image onto the Sweet Berry image a bit off center to create a shadow effect. With the image on the right place, I made some pencil marks so I could die cut the vellum into a circle slightly bigger than the one below. I adhered the two circles together with a few glue dots (placing them where they were not going to be noticeable).
The rest of the card was simple: a white-embossed sentiment over a Black Licorice strip and matted with a gold strip, Gold Fashion pearls, a heart shaped clip and some silk.
Easy Breezy Spring is the name of the new wonderful collection that Fun Stampers Journey will be releasing today April 26th and of course you are invited to join us for a LIVE Launch Party, from 3 to 5pm Pacific Time.
If you are not familiar with the FSJ Parties, I have to say that they are a lot of fun. FSJ will be presenting the whole new collection and along the show they will have project demos, bundles for sale and GIVEAWAYS! You will find the Launch Party on the FSJ YouTube channel, on the FSJ Facebook page , or on the FSJ store.
So, as part of this event, I am sharing a project that I created with one of the sets included in the collection: Cute Boots, take a look…
For my project, I created a simple but fun background using Lovely Blue Liquid Color and Sparkle Silk. I put a some drops of liquid color over the Gel Press and I spread it with a brush, then I picked up the color with a Whip Cream panel. Additionally, I sprinkled some Sparkle Silk over the blue background. Once the panel was completely dried, I adhered it over a Tin Pail folded card. I want to point out that the Sparkle Silk is one of my favorites products because it gives just the perfect sparkle touch that projects need to make them stand out!
Next, I stamped a base image over Whip Cream cardstock, and I fussy cut it with scissors. After that, I stamped the image again over different colors of cardstock, and using my scissors I cut details of each color, and then I glued them over the base image. The piecing technique is one of my favorites because it will never disappoint you!
To finish up this card, I stamped the sentiment over Whip Creamcardstock and then I die cut it using a cloud shaped die. I adhered the cloud and main image onto the card using foam square. Simple, simple yet very pretty!
