Happy 4th of July!

This year we are neither having a parade, fireworks nor a big celebration, but what we have is the opportunity to celebrate united with our hearts and be proud to be Americans. I have been a US citizen for more than five years now, and I am very proud of that and of living in this amazing country. So, I just wanted to wish you a very Happy 4th of July with this card:

For this card I used two different stamp sets: Freedom Sparkle Stamp Set and All You Do Stamp Set. I began by creating the background with Candy Apple Liquid Color and a Square Paint Brush. I layered two different size/color of stars, and I stamped the sentiment and flag.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission. Thanks!

I adhered all the elements over the background and then, I embellished the card with silver pearls, a paper clip, a border and Sparkle silk.

Happy Retirement Cards

Some of my friends/co-workers retired this year so, since retirement cards are some of those that I dont make very often, I made some to send to them by mail. Without really paying attention if I was using current or discontinued products, I chose some Spellbinders products that I have in my stash to create my cards….

The die set that I used is called Feathers in the Wind, and I have to confess that this is a discontinued set, but I just like it a lot, so that is why I still have it! Currently there are some other feathers dies and stamps available at the Spellbinders store, which can also work for a project like mine: Feathers Cool Vibes, Shapeabilities Feathers Etched Dies, Fair Feathers Etched Dies, Floating Feathers Stamp Set.

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission. Thanks!

I also used another discontinued die set called Happy Expressions and I complemented the word “happy with the word “retirement” which I printed out with my handy dandy printer over Whip Cream cardstock. I created four cards total, same design, different colors…

The feather shape was die cut from a FSJ Printed Paper collection called Spring Filled Prints and I also die cut it from a multicolor background that I created using Journey Gel Press and some FSJ Acrylic paints

I really like how the cards turned out. The beautiful feather can shine either way, using a printed paper or your own pattern paper.

Please be sure to check out all the awesome deals and offers available at the Spellbinders store.

So, using the Enjoy the Ride stamp set (included in the kit), I created a card…

Lately, one of my favorite things to do is to create subtle backgrounds using Liquid Colors and a sponge dauber (you can see a quick video >>>HERE<<< This is an easy great way to keep your creations simple, and let the stamped images shine! After that, I stamped the rollercoaster image onto the background with Black Licorice Ink and I used silks to leave some fun splashes of color!

Then, I white-embossed some images over different colors of cardstock and arranged them over the background. Last, but not least I embellished the card with some gemstones.

Supplies: Happy Place Project Kit | Lovely Liquid Color | Sparkle Silk | Beach Ball Silk | Summer Play Sparkles Adhesive Gems

FSJ • Happy Travels Card

Hello there! Quick post today sharing a card featuring a Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called Hit the Road. This set can be used to create cards as well as scrapbooking projects…

I used the main image along with a sentiment for this card. The vintage truck image is perfect to color and in this case, I stamped it onto River Stone Carstock with Black Licorice ink. Then, I colored it with my Journey Color Burst color pencils, using the Whip Cream color pencil at the end to add some details that give the truck a bit of dimension (according to me 🙂 )

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission. Thanks!

Next, I created the Whip Cream panel using the Gilded Nested Rectangle die sThen, I created the Whip Cream panel using the Gilded Nested Rectangle die set, which basically are rectangles with beveled corners… they look really really nice! So, I simply stamped the route map image with River Stone ink over the rectangle. After that, I adhered the panel and truck over a Rock Candy folded card, and I included a strip of Black Licorice Sparkle washi tape that I affixed with a few staples. I finished up this card with some sequins and a white-embossed sentiment over a Black Licorice strip.

Hello Friend Card

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Now that I have been enjoying some of my “stay at home time” doing some crafts, I got to play with a Spellbinders die set that I like a lot and it is called Botanical House, so I created this card:

Be aware that my post includes affiliate links, which means that if you click on and shop through them, I will receive a tiny commission. Thanks!

It seems like it was a lot of work but it really wasn’t at all. It was like playing with a little puzzle.

I began by die cutting the house using four different colors of cardstock and Whip Cream. I used a piece of a dryer sheet under the cardtstock to help keep all the pieces in their place after die cutting them. It also helps to obtain a clean cut.

Then, I adhered the Whip Cream house over a piece of a FSJ White Liner Sheet. I trimmed around the house and then I adhered all the pieces to fill in the house. No particular order for the colors or pattern, I just had fun mixing the colors.

After that, I placed the card over a Whip Cream panel. Next, I used a a die and stamp set called Hello Expressions to make the sentiment.

I complemented with a couple of leaves, a tiny flower and a white gem. Finally, I adhered the panel over a folded card with foam squares. This card was fun to make, but I couldn’t expect less since this Botanical House is so pretty and fun to play with!

I saw it on Spellbinders / FSJ

Here it is a shaker card that I made not long ago using the same die:

Hang In There + Spring Cleaning Warehouse Sale

Hello there! I know these past last weeks have been hard for everyone because, spending a lot of time at home can be challenging. In my case, besides doing some organizing and cleaning in home I have also been taking advantage of the extra time making some cards. So, today I am sharing a simple card that I created using one super cute stamp set called: Don’t Hurry, take a look:

I began by creating the subtle background using a Dauber Dowel Small and Lovely Blue Liquid Color. I wet the dauber with the liquid color and applied it from center towards the edges in a circular motion. I achieved a pretty ombré effect. Then, while the panel was drying, I colored the sloth and branch using my Color Burst Pure Color Pencils. One of the things that I like to do when I am using my color pencils, is to moisten the tip of a Color Burst Blender stick with a product called Gamsol. This product helps to get rid off a little bit of the texture that color pencils leave on paper and it also helps to blend the different tones of colors that you are using.

For the sentiment I used a set called Solid-Bet Stamp Set and its Matching Die Set (Outline Bet Die Set). These two products are currently ON SALE at a great price. For this card I stamped the word “hang” and I used part of a sentiment included in the stamp set. I arranged all the elements over the background and I adhered the panel over a folded card. To finish up this card I adhered some small heart stickers.

Please feel free to click on any of the links below to see more details about the products that I used to create my card:

Don’t Hurry Stamp Set | Solid-Bet Stamp Set| Outline Bet Die Set |Liquid Colors | Color Burst Blender | Color Burst Pure Color Pencils | Dauber Dowel Small |

Additionally, I want to share that at Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey currently are having a fabulous sale:

The deals are awesome with lots of fantastic products that you might want to have in your stash, like dies, stamp sets, embellishments and tools. So today I am also sharing some cards that I created in the past with a few of the stamp sets and products on sale:

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Bold Beautiful

Hello friends! I am starting this month with a project I created with the new Stamp of the Month: Bold Beautiful. This set features pretty foliage stamps along with a large sentiment and a frame. All of these images are just perfect to layer them up, or combine them in so many ways to create beautiful projects.

To create this card, I stamped some of the images with two different ink colors (Watermelon Fusion and Kiwi Slice) and then, I fussy-cut them with my Detail Pro Shears. I also stamped the sentiment over Whip Cream cardstock with Watermelon Fusion ink after that I die cut it into a rectangular frame (Special Tags Die Set).

I adhered a couple of matching colored cardstock strips and a Whip Cream panel, and I affixed it over a folded card. After that, I adhered the sentiment with foam squares onto the card, and I arranged the foliage/flowers images to create a pretty bouquet. Finally, I adhered some Pink World Journey Sequins to finish up this card. As you can see, no matter what technique you choose with this wonderful set, your projects will always look very pretty.

Supplies: Bold Beautiful | Special Tags Die Set | Pink World Journey Sequins | FSJ True Color Fusion Ink Pads| FSJ 8″x11″ Cardstock | Detail Pro Shears |

FSJ Stamp of the Month is here: Sentiment Stacks

Hello March, and hello the new FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sentiment Stacks! I have always thought that you can never have too many sentiment stamp sets in your stash, so let me tell you that, Sentiments Stacks can be a great addition to your stamp collection. The stamp set comes with six larger stamps that can be complemented with smaller words to create a perfect mix and match sentiments!

So this time I created two cards, showcasing some of the sentiments included in the set. Here is my card #1:

To create this card I white-embossed the “birthday’ sentiment over Huckleberry Fusion cardstock strip, and I complemented with the words “oops, I missed your” on top of it. I also used a frog from the Stick Around stamp, which I stamped over a piece of printed paper and die cut with its matching die.

The background was created with a small dauber dowel, clear pigment ink and whip cream embossing powder. I included a Whip Cream circle shape and a Citrus Cooler border to complement the focal point. I embellished the card with some Rainbow drops and on the inside of the card I stamped the word “sorry”.

Card #1 Supplies: Sentiment Stacks | Stick Around Stamp Set | Stick Around Die Set |Circle Around Die Set | Borders Essentials Die Set | Playful Prints | Rainbow Drops Gems Embellishments |

Here is card #2:

For my second card, I white embossed the large word “sorry” over a Black Licorice cardstock strip, and I complemented it with the words “for your loss”. I also used one of the butterflies from the stamp set Small Things; I stamped it twice with black Licorice ink over Whip Cream cardstock, and then I die cut it with its matching die. I gave them a hint of color by tapping a few times a Watermelon Fusion ink pad, directly over the stamped butterflies.

I created a crisscross background with the edge of Black Licorice and Whip Cream ink pads over a Grape Fusion Panel. I also added some Whip Cream silk details to it. Finally, I arranged all the elements over the card, and I finished it up with sequins and rhinestones.

Card #2 Supplies: FSJ Stamp of the Month |Small Things Stamp Set | Small Things Die Set | Whip Cream True Color Fusion Ink Pad | Clear Pigment Ink Pad | Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink | Sunrise Mix Sequins | Journey Glaze |
