FSJ • Praying for You

Hi there! I have always liked to create my own backgrounds. Sometimes when I am just playing with some fun products like the Fun Stampers Liquid Colors and the Journey Gel Press, it is hard to stop… I usually end up making many backgrounds! Today I am sharing a card that I made using one of those backgrounds along with some other products by Fun Stampers Journey

To create the background I simply put Lemon Drop and Fresh Forest Liquid color drops over the Journey Gel Press. Then, I sprayed a little bit of water with a mister  and  I spread the color with a brayer. I waited a few seconds until dots of color were formed over the Journey Gel Press and then I placed a Whip Cream panel over to pick up the color.  The beautiful flowers image is from a set called Beauty Blooms. To give the stamped image an ombré effect, I applied different colors of ink over the stamp with sponge daubers. To complement the focal point, I stamped a sentiment with Black Licorice ink over a strip of Whip Cream cardstock. Then, I fussy-cut the images with my favorite scissors, the Details Pro Shears!

I also die cut a tag from Fresh Forest cardtsock and then, I  layered all the card components using foam squares. I added some details like Journey tape, rainbow drops, Natural Thread, and a vellum strip behind the sentiment.  I was very happy with the results.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I’ll be back soon to share another project.

Thanks for stopping by:) Have a wonderful crafty rest of the week!

FSJ • Happy 4th of July

Hi there! Just really quick to share a card that I created using some of the products that were included in the Fun Stampers Journey Spring into Summer Catalog. I have to point out that the new big catalog was recently released, and you can take a peek by clicking >>>HERE<<< It is amazing, full of lots of inspiration and new products.

For my card, I used the Back Yard Party Prints to create a partial background over a Denim Days card. I also created a long banner using Cranberry Bliss cardstock. Then I stamped the Liberty image onto Whip Cream cardstock with River Stone ink. I die cut it into a star shape using the Star Dom die set. I also die cut a bigger star from vellum and I used it below the stamped star.

Then, I stamped the sentiment with Catalina Splash and Cranberry Bliss ink colors. I trimmed it with scissors and I layered the stars and sentiment over the card. Finally, I added  the Silver Sparkle tape, Sparkle Silk, silver sequins and Summer Play Sparkles.  I have to confess that lately the Silver Sparkle tape and the Sparkle Silk are my favorites! They look amazing and they are just perfect as the final touches for your projects.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I hope you enjoy this 4th of July along with your family and friends. I’ll be back soon to share another project.

Today’s Card: Hello There!

Today I am sharing a card featuring the new Color Layering Pineapple and coordinating Color Layering Pineapple Frame Cuts by Hero Arts. There is also a new cube ink pack called Hero’s Pineapple which was specially designed for this set. You can buy these products individually or as a bundle 🙂

For my card I used yellow and green neon inks to stamp the first layer of the pineapple. Then, I used other green and orange colors for the next two layers. I also used the flower image included in the set to create a background using different tones of yellows and greens.

At the end I die cut the pineapple and complemented it with a sentiment over a strip of card stock. I Finished it off with some yummy sequins.

Please visit the HERO ARTS blog for more inspiration using this fabulous set. If you haven’t seen the new Color Layering catalog, here you see it 🙂

Hero Arts Summer Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the…

Hero Arts Summer Release Blog Hop

If you are coming from Lydia Fiedler’s blog you are in the right direction 😀 Today I am very excited to be part of this fun hop which marks the launch of all the new Summer products  in the Hero Arts store 😉

So as part of the celebration, I am sharing two invitations that I specially created for the Summer Catalog. This invites feature two new awesome sets:  Invitation Themes and Party Themes.

These two sets include lots of sentiments, and they can be used to complement each other. Are you having a celebration soon? Well, with this pair you can customize your invitations the way you need.

The designs of the invites I am sharing today are quite simple; on both of them I used a Snow layering paper panel over a mat of Daffodil and Iris layering paper colors respectively.  On the first sample I used a fun woodblock stamp called Piñata which was stamped over the main panel  with  Neon Chartreuse to Blue Ink. I complemented it with some banners from Make a Wish Birthday stamp set, a main sentiment, as well as the information sentiments.

On the second sample, I used some images from a stamp set called Town Essentials along with Neon Red to Purple ink. I also stamped a main sentiment, and information sentiments. On both of the invites I used gemstones as the final touches.

Well, that’ all from me today. Your next hop stop will be the talented May Sukyong ParkPlease be sure to visit all the participant blogs for more inspiration and for the chance to win a fabulous prize:

Today’s Card: One of a Kind

Hey there! Today I am sharing a card that I based on the design of  the current CAS(E) this Sketch contest (#170). I really liked their design because I thought it was perfect to feature some of the new HA products included in the 2016 Summer Catalog: Hipster Animals and Glasses Bold Prints. I have to point out that all the new HA products will be available at the  HA online store as of May 11!

I created a card base with Grenadine Layering Paper (Blush Mix). After that, I stamped  the Glasses Bold prints image with Intense Black ink (one of my favorites). I also created another panel from Snow Layering Paper, and I trimmed this one into four uneven parts following the sketch. I adhered two of those parts onto the card base, and then I stamped a sentiment from another fun set called Hipster at Heart with  Intense Black ink. I put Glossy Accents over the letters  to make them puffy and let them dry.

To create the focal point, I cut out a 2″ circle from Midnight Layering Paper and I adhered it over the card. Then, I stamped the dog  and hat images over a piece of SSnow Layering Paper  with Intense Black ink. Additionally, I stamped glasses over the dog face, and colored the image with markers. I Die cut the hat and dog images with their matching frame cuts, and then I pt Glossy accents over some of the dog details. Finally, I layered the two pieces over the circle and embellished the card with some enamel dots.

Here you can see the complete new HA Summer Catalog:
