I chose one of the sets included in this kit create two different cards. This stamp set is called Arctic Wonder and I also used its matching die set. So the first card features three of the bear images over a striped background made of cardstock strips.

This is an easy way to create a colorful background for your cards that will make your stamped images stand out. The sentiment was simply white-embossed over a Black Licorice stitched circle, and of course some sequins made the trick to embellish this cute card.

The second card showcases the other three bear images included in the set. With that many bear images you have a lot of choices to create the perfect arctic scene, don’t you think? I stamped the images over Whip Cream cardstock with Black Licorice ink, and I arranged them over a Whip Cream panel. After that, using my Misti I stamped the sentiment and I enhanced it with Journey Glaze.

This time, I used a Holiday Cheer Prints rectangle as the background/mat for my card. I used front and back of the same sheet. The snowflakes pattern for the largest panel and I used the other side of the paper to create a strip, which also serves as the base for my bears, so they don’t look like they are floating πŸ˜‰

I finished off this card with a silver snow flake, some silver-embossed tiny snowflakes and some silver sequins.

So, using the Enjoy the Ride stamp set (included in the kit), I created a card…

Lately, one of my favorite things to do is to create subtle backgrounds using Liquid Colors and a sponge dauber (you can see a quick video >>>HERE<<< This is an easy great way to keep your creations simple, and let the stamped images shine! After that, I stamped the rollercoaster image onto the background with Black Licorice Ink and I used silks to leave some fun splashes of color!

Then, I white-embossed some images over different colors of cardstock and arranged them over the background. Last, but not least I embellished the card with some gemstones.

FSJ’s Kindness Matters Collection is Here!

Kindness Matters is the name of the new collection that Fun Stampers Journey has just released and today, I am delighted to share two cards created with one of my favorite stamp sets from this release: Baby Farm Animals and its coordinating dies.

For my first card, I took advantage of the cute outlined darling images, and I grabbed my Journey Splash Watercolor Pencils to color them. Once the color dried, I die cut them with their matching dies.

I thought a red barn would be a perfect match for these cute creatures, so I die cut a Candy Apple Reversed Banner shape and I cut off two of its corners to create the shape of a traditional barn.

After that, I created the lines with a ruler and a thin marker. Then, to create the barn doors, I simply made two small rectangles and I dragged criss cross lines with my white Journey Burst Color Pencil. I glued those two pieces over a Whip Cream rectangle and adhered the piece over the barn.

I created the little window over the door the same way. I finished up the barn with a piece of Hazelnut Blend cardstock to create the roof over the barn. Quite simple if you ask me, but fun to create.

My second card is a bit simpler than the one above. In this case, I simply stamped the baby animals with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink over different colors of cardstock.

I used the grass and cloud die cuts from the Sweet Home Accent die set to create a simple, yet pretty scene for the cute baby animals.

I arranged them over a rectangle cut out of Pool Play cardstock and of course I also included a sentiment. I finished up the card with wiggle eyes for the cute animals and some white pearls here and there.

Anyway, please be sure to visit the FSJ shop and see the whole collection; you can either buy the products individually or you can also buy a Project Kit, which means a great deal!

I love when new products are about to be released and I have the chance to share a bit about them. At Fun Stampers Journey, coming on January 10th a new collection called Kindness Matters will be released. So today, I am sharing a card that features one of the new stamp sets and the stencil included in the collection.

The stamp set is called Kindness is Cool and it features a cute koala among other pretty images and sentiments. I loved coloring the koala with Color Burst Color Pencils and adding its cool shades. The background was created with the Cane Wave stencil and Liquid Colors (which are one of my favorite products to create backgrounds).

Last but not least, I complemented the card with a sentiment, some Rainbow Hearts, washi tape and a few Cut Rhinestones.

The newΒ My Monthly HeroΒ kitΒ has been just released and it will be available as ofΒ TODAY October 7thΒ at theΒ Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. This month the kits will begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday, October 11th, and you can pre-order it today. I want to point out that you have the option toΒ subscribeΒ and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.Β Β

The theme for October is Christmas and the main kit includes fun images perfect to create fun Christmas scenes, check it out:

The kit includes: 6β€³ x 8β€³ Clear Stamp Set, 19 coordinating frames, 2 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Chrome Cardstock, 6 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of Neon Cardstock, , Clay Snowflake Embellishments, and Prisma Glitter 0.5 oz. The value of this kit is $75.00, but it can be yours for onlyΒ $34.99… so this is really a good deal!

So for this special occasion I created three cards. For the first one I used the main kit stamp set:

I stamped the images with Β Intense Black Ink and I colored them with markers. Then, I simply arranged the images on a white cardstock panel to create a cozy Christmas scene. A piece of washi tape and some enamel dots were the final touches for it.

The second card was created using one of the Add-on sets and its matching frame cuts. This set is called Out of This World Christmas, take a look:

For this card, I white-embossed the sentiment and some stars over a navy blue cardstock panel and I added some Sparkle Silk. Images were also stamped with Β Intense Black Ink and colored with markers. I adhered the images with foam tape and I embellished the card with some silver sequins.

My third card features another add-on set which is one of my favorites sets:

The set is called Meowy Christmas and I also used its matching frame cuts. I used markers to color the images and I added some Glaze details here and there. I included tiny enamel dots as the ornaments and a white embossed sentiment over a piece of red cardstock.

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

As always, the beginning of the month means that a new My Monthly Hero kit is being released. This fantastic kit will be available TODAY August 5th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. This month the kits will begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday, August 9th. I want to point out that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

Anyway, as you can see below, this time the theme for the kit brings up the medieval times and its magic…. kings, queens, castles, dragons, princesses, you name it!

The kit contains the following: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 17 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 1 Fancy Castle Die, 2 5.5″ x 8.5″ sheets of Mirri Matte Lava Purple Paper, 2 5.5 x 8.5″ sheets of Parchment Paper, 3 Glimmer Ink Pots (Gold, Purple, Red), Dragon Scale Sequins. The value of this kit is $83.49, but you only have to pay $34.99 for it… so this is really a good deal!

So, I created two cards for today’s release, and for my first card I used the stamp and die sets from the main kit along with the Trefoil Bold Print cling background stamp and the Paper Layering Castle (add-ons products).

I began by die cutting the Paper Layering Castle die from white cardstock, and I colored the tips of the towers with a red marker. I adhered the castle over a light gray folded card. Then, I stamped the Trefoil Bold Print cling background stamp with green ink over a green cardstock rectangle to create the lower part of the card, just to give a little of detail to the panel.

After that, I used the main stamp and die sets to create the focal images which are the knight, the dragon and a sentiment . The knight and dragon were simply stamped with black ink over white cardstock and then colored with markers. The sentiment was white-embossed over a piece of black cardstock and as the final touches, I used clear dots, glaze details and decorative tape.

Here is my second card:

For this one, I created the background using two different liquid colors and a sponge dauber to create long strokes over a white cardstock panel. Blue for the sky, green for the grass. After that, I used the As You Wish stamp set and its coordinating frame-cuts to create a fairy-tale scene. Of course a castle image had to be included too! I stamped the castle from Build a Castle stamp set and die cut it with its matching frame-cuts. Then, I colored the images with markers, arranged them over the background and adhered them with foam tape. After that, using a stamp positioner tool, I stamped a sentiment directly over the background with black ink.

As I normally do, I added glaze details and some clear dots to finish up this card. I think is easy to get pretty cards when you have great products in your hands!

Here I am sharing the pictures of the add-ons products that I used to create the cards, so you can see more details of them. Please be sure to see the complete collection by clicking >>>HERE<<<.

My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

The beginning of the month means, that a new wonderful My Monthly Hero kit will be available TODAY July 1st at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. This month the kits will begin shipping from Hero Arts on Monday, July 8th. I want to point out that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

https://heroarts.com/pages/mmh-july-2019-kit

This kit contains: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, fourteen Coordinating Frame Cuts, two Fancy Dies, five Ink Cubes (Dusty Blue, Lime Green, Forest, Cocoa, Sand Stone), four 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets of New Hero Hues Premium Cardstock (two of each Meadow and Lapis) and a Blue Pearl Embossing Powder 0.5 oz.

I love the theme of this month’s kit, mountains, forest, fishing, water…. (sigh), so perfect for Summer! Check out the card I created with this kit:

I began by stamping the mountains, forest and dock. It is hard to see in the picture, but I clear-embossed over the stamped images using the large solid images. After that, I used a distress ink to create the sky and water (embossing-resist technique), and of course I flicked a bit of water with a brush. I stamped one of the sentiments included in the stamp set and then, I trimmed out the image, I matted it with the Meadow Premium cardstock and adhered the panel over a white folded card. To finish off this card, I stamped the kids images with Intense Black Ink, die cut them, and adhered them over the card with foam tape.

My second card features a couple of the ad-ons products. The stamp set that I used is called Camp in the Wild and I also use Forest Sunset Fancy Die.

For this card I used the Forest Sunset Fancy Die upside down to create the forest silhouette behind the bears. I know, I should have used it the other way, but I thought the die was also perfect using it this way too! πŸ˜€

Anyway, the images were simply stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored it with markers. I die cut them with their matching dies and I created a cute bonfire scene with them. A sentiment and Journey Glaze details were the final touches for this card.

My Monthly Hero June Release

It is time for another wonderful My Monthly Hero release. The June kit is all about the jungle and wild life and it is also a giving back kit, which means that Hero Arts will donate 10% of the net profits from this kit to jungle habitat preservation through the World Wildlife Fund. I think this is a wonderful cause, so take a look of the fabulous June kit:

My Monthly Hero

The kit includes the following: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 20 Coordinating Frame Cuts, 2 Jungle Vine Fancy Dies, 6″ x 6″ Leaf Pattern Stencil, Watercolor Dot Card, Intenseified Black Ink Cube.

So, I created a card with the kit using the stamp set, frame cuts and ink that are included in it. I chose the monkey and the elephant images and I colored them with markers and then, die cut them with their matching frame cuts. It is so nice to have matching cut frames for each of the images included in the stamp set!

The images are full of little details that are so fun to color. I included some leaves and some green sequins as the final touches for this card.

Additionally to the main kit there are many wonderful add-on products, which are also great to play with. So I made a second card using a set called: Thanks a Bunch Monkey and its matching frames cuts. The stamp set includes three monkey images and other jungle related images as well as some sentiments.

That monkey is so adorable, so I used markers again to color it along with the liana and tiny flowers. The sentiment was simply white-embossed over a black cardstock circle, and the subtle background was made with the Leafy Bold prints which is a large cling stamp (6″ x 6″).

As usual, Hero Arts has a prize for a lucky commenter, but this time the winner will be drawn from comments left on the Hero Arts blog only. So please be sure to go and leave a comment on the Hero Arts blog to be considered for the prize.

SB Sunshiny Day Card Kit

A few months back, I received the Sunshiny Day Card Kit to complete a couple of projects for Spellbinders, and let me tell you that I was very pleased with what I could accomplish with it. It doesn’t really matter if you are a beginner or an avid card maker, the SB card kits are super fun to play with, and they will keep you busy creating for hours. The box that I received was full of products that I could use to create at least ten cards. Take a look:

This particular kit includes: 10 Cards & 10 Envelopes, 7 Sheets of 8.5 x 11” Paper/Cardstock, Set of 14 Dies, 6 x 6” Paper Pad, Pack of Die Cut Shapes, Epoxy and Foil Stickers, Clear Stamps, Sequins & Flowers, a Roll of Adhesive & Foam Dots.

So after I finished a couple of projects for SB, I ended up with a barely used card kit. Therefore, a couple weeks ago I went to a scrapbooking crop, and I brought the card kit with me . I planned to use only the products included in the kit and complete as many cards as I could. These are the projects I created:

The patterned papers are beautiful, the colors coordinate perfectly with the cardstock and die cut shapes included in the kit. As you can see, in the die cut shape package you get more than one of each shape, which in my opinion it is great, because you can duplicate your project or use the same shape in different projects!

The kit includes a stamp set and a die set too. I used a sentiment from the stamp set and I also die cut a cute starfish from the yellow cardstock provided. I also made the base cards from the purple and black cardstock included.

I was impressed with the amount of die cut shapes included in the kit, because after I finished all my cards, I still have many left over that I can use on more projects! On the second card, the Birthday sentiment (underneath the happy die cut sentiment) is not included in the kit.

For these two cards, I used two cute cars which are my favorite die cut shapes, and I included a few Epoxy stickers which are such a great detail for any card.

Another great product included are the Puffy Foil Stickers…. they are just great and they look amazing! I really had a fun time at the scrapbooking crop creating with this card kit.

Well, these are all the projects I created and the left overs from my kit…. pretty good, Don’t you think? I can still take advantage of my stamp set and my die set that I barely used…. I might do a few more projects with them soon!

I would like to point out that currently there are many beautiful card kits available to chose from, but you also have the option to sign up for the Card Kit Club, which is a monthly subscription, and that means that each month you will get a brand new kit at an incredible price. Please click >>>HERE<<< to read more details about it.
