FSJ • Thinking of You Card

Hi there! I am back today to share a card that I made using some products from the Fun Stampers Journey Catalog.  This is one of my favorite stamps sets from the Blooms section named Peony Blooms.

092217web_thinkingofyou1

To color the blooms I used the Journey Color Burst color pencils and I applied Journey Glaze andJourney Sparkle cuts .  The background of this card was created using the same technique that I used on my last posted card, Lemon Drop and Fresh Forest Liquid color drops over the Journey Gel Press. Then, I sprayed a little bit of water with a mister  and  I spread the color with a brayer mixing well the colors in between to create the ombré effect. I waited a few seconds until dots of color were formed over the Journey Gel Press and then I placed a Whip Cream panel over to pick up the color.

As I have mentioned before, creating backgrounds with the liquid colors is so much fun. If you happen to create several, save them for later… they come in handy when you need to create last minute cards.  Anyhow, to finish this card, a pierced square, Journey tape, a sentiment and some sequins were the rest of the components of this card.

Currently there is a Mix Media Sale at Fun Stampers Journey, and lots of inspiration on the FSJ blog too. Please don’t forget to visit them for more details.

FSJ • Happy Halloween Card

Hi there! The Fun Stampers Journey Holidays Mini was recently released, and let me tell you that there are a lot of new products that you are going to love.  The products are just perfect for the coming Fall and Winter celebrations, so even though those dates seems to be far away from now, we are still in time to make a wish list and order some of those fantastic products for our projects. This catalog is available through your FSJ Coach or you can take a peek online by clicking >>>HERE<<.

For today I made a Halloween card using the candy corn image from a fun set called: Halloween Silhouette as well as some other FSJ products. Yyou will find the supplies list at the end of this post 😀

081217web_candycorn

To create the candy corn shapes, I stamped the image twice onto Whip Cream cardstock using Lemon Drop and Tangerine Fusion inks. I stamped a third image to make a template. I cut out the bottom part, middle part of the images  and template with scissors.

mg_DSC_0092

After that, I glued the yellow and orange parts over a piece of Whip Cream cardstock, and I traced the upper part of the candy corn using the template and a pencil. Then, I cut out the candy corn with scissors. I created three candy corn.

mg_DSC_0093

For the background I used the striped Wall stamp but instead of using it as vertical lines I used it as horizontal lines. The sentiment that I used is included in one of the Host Exclusives stamp sets included in the same catalog, and it is called: Hallows Eve.  I simply white embossed it onto a Black Licorice rectangle.

To finish off my card, I die cut some vellum circles, and used some sequins and Black Licorice as the final touches on it.

Please don’t forget that the Fun Stampers Ink Promotion is open until the end of the month, so this is a great opportunity to add some more colors to your stash 🙂

FSJ Ink Promotion + Love You Card

Hi there! Today I want to share about a great Fun Stampers Journey promotion during the month of August:

August-Promo-FB-Social-Share-2.jpg

The True Color Fusion inks are non-solvent hybrid of pigment and dye, and they dry quickly, retaining their vibrant colors, and they are also fade-resistant. These inks work on any surface, including paper, wood, fabric, and acrylic, and they become permanent when heat-set on non-paper materials.

I have to point out that all the ink pads can be purchased individually (20% off) or also as bundles (15% off) through a FSJ Coach. If you are not sure on how to find one near you, you will find a link on the upper right corner on the FSJ Home page.

So for today I also made a clean and simple card, using some of these yummy colors. Check it out:

080717web_LoveYou

The stamp set that I used is called Dear Rose. What I like about this set is that you can either stamp the images with black, and then color them with your favorite color technique or, you can  simply stamp the images using different colors of ink, like I did.

First,  I stamped the rose and then, I masked it with a sticky note to be able to stamp the stem and leaves close to the rose image. Simple basic stamping.  I think the rose image is quite pretty and even a simple technique makes your project look great 😉

FSJ • Journey Gel Press Fun Projects

Hey there! I am back to share a couple of cards that I created using the new Journey Gel Press  and Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate.  Last June, I had the chance to be in one of the Gel Press workshops that took place at the FSJ Convention as an spectator. One of the things that I liked the most about it, was the versatility. There is no wrong way whatsoever while using the press.  The paper literally gets transformed into beautiful unique backgrounds that you can use for your cards, scrapbooking, etc. It is so much fun!

Last week, Richard did some videos featuring the regular flat press and the heart one as well. You can see some of these videos by clicking >>>HERE<<<

For my first card I created a multi layer background using the Journey Gel Press  and the Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate . Check it out:

071717web_youareamazing

I used the regular Gel Press to create a  background over a Whip Cream panel inking the surface directly with my ink pad. Then, I placed the panel over it to pick up the ink.  The result was an uneven subtle background. Quick and easy.

123

After that, I inked the Hearts Gel Press with a darker color and I placed the Whip Cream Panel on top of the Gel Press.

45

Next, and just to give the hearts a different look I randomly inked the hearts only using the side of the ink pad. Then, I place the cardstock panel over my table, and flipped over the Heart Gel Press  and carefully placed it onto the panel trying to match the hearts below. I repeated this twice.

Since I was experimenting with this background, I also stamped the Vintage Notes background on top of my Gel Press impressions.   I stamped a sentiment and I finished my card with Journey Glaze, Journey tape and sequins.

071717web_youareamazing2

For my  second card, I used the the Journey Gel Press  and the Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate  as well, but this time I did not create that many layers of ink, but at the end I was very pleased with the results. Take a look…

If you like to experiment and play with different mediums, I highly recommend you to try the Journey Gel Press. It is so much fun to create with it.

FSJ • New Mystic Romance Collection {Miss You}

Hello friends! Lately, I have been having a lot of fun playing with all the New Mystic Romance Collection by Fun Stampers Journey. This collection is one of my favorites from the New FSJ 2017-2018 Inspiration Book & Catalog, specially because it showcases beautiful stamps that have a stitched or embroidery look.  Richard Garay and my team pals have been posting projects using this collection, so  please be sure to see all of them: >Richard 1< >Laura< >Michelle< >Patricia 1< >Patricia 2< and >Richard 2<  All of these projects are simply amazing!

Today I am sharing a card that I created using a stamp set called Stitched Dreams. This set features a swan image along with a pretty bee and some beautiful flowers.

071017web_missyou1

I begun by arranging the different flower stamps over an acrylic block. Then,  I put Banana Cream and Bubble Gum Liquid colors over the Gel press (I will explain a little bit more about this Gel Press in my next post). After that, I rolled the Brayer a few times over the Gel Press to pick up the colors. I transferred the ink from the Brayer directly over the stamps by rolling it.  Next, I simply stamped the flowers over a Whip Cream rectangle. I picked up more color from the Gel press with the brayer, and  I stamped the images again. I repeated this a few times to create the background.  Besides that,  I rolled the brayer over the edges  to distressed them. I added some stitches marks with a die that belongs to a set called Pocket Cuts. I sprinkle a little bit of Limeade Splash Liquid color over the background with a brush, just to complement my combo and then, I adhered the panel onto a Bubble Gum cardstock card.

071017web_missyou2

I stamped the swan over Whip Cream cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I die cut one swan with its matching die, I colored its beak with a Burst Color pencil, and I applied Journey Glaze and Sparkle cuts over the swan’s tail.  I stamped another swan on another piece of Whip Cream cardstock, and I apply Journey Glaze and Sparkle cuts over the wing. I trimmed the wing with my scissors and I adhered it over the other whole swan. I used a glue dot and two small foam squares to give a little bit of dimension to the wing… so pretty!

071017web_missyou3

To finish this card I added some Lemon Grass thread, a sentiment that I white embossed over a Black Licorice cardstock strip, Whip Cream Sparkle Tape, and I added some sequins. I really liked how this card turned out!

FSJ • Happy 4th of July

Hi there! Just really quick to share a card that I created using some of the products that were included in the Fun Stampers Journey Spring into Summer Catalog. I have to point out that the new big catalog was recently released, and you can take a peek by clicking >>>HERE<<< It is amazing, full of lots of inspiration and new products.

070317web_happy4july

For my card, I used the Back Yard Party Prints to create a partial background over a Denim Days card. I also created a long banner using Cranberry Bliss cardstock. Then I stamped the Liberty image onto Whip Cream cardstock with River Stone ink. I die cut it into a star shape using the Star Dom die set. I also die cut a bigger star from vellum and I used it below the stamped star.

070317web_happy4july2

Then, I stamped the sentiment with Catalina Splash and Cranberry Bliss ink colors. I trimmed it with scissors and I layered the stars and sentiment over the card. Finally, I added  the Silver Sparkle tape, Sparkle Silk, silver sequins and Summer Play Sparkles.  I have to confess that lately the Silver Sparkle tape and the Sparkle Silk are my favorites! They look amazing and they are just perfect as the final touches for your projects.

FSJ• Way To Go!

Hi there! It has been a while since the last time I posted a project here on my blog, sorry about that. I have to say that it feels good to be able to share again. For the last few months I have been really busy creating like never before! On the good note, the new FSJ big catalog was revealed last week during the 2017 Fun Stampers Journey Convention in Phoenix, but it won’t  be until next month when everybody can see it 😉 I will share when that day comes! It is amazing!

Today I am sharing a masculine card that I created using some stamps that I like a lot.  I used Rock Candy cardstock to create the card base, and then I stamped the Ink Splat stamp over with Whip Cream Ink. I also stamped the sentiment with this ink, to create a white shadow.

060517web_waytogo

I stamped the sentiment again with Black Licorice Ink over the white one. Since you want the white image to be a shadow, unprecision is your friend, right? 😉 After that, I applied Journey Glaze over the words and Iet it dry. Meanwhile, I stamped the vintage truck onto Candy Apple cardstock with Black Licorice Ink.

060517web_waytogo2

I added som white details with a white Color Burst color pencil. I fussy cut the truck with my scissors and I adhered the piece with Journey squares. Finally, I embellished the card with Silver Silk and rhinestones. Easy peasy, don’t you think? At the end of this post you will find the complete list of supplies.
