FSJ Stamp of the Month is here: Sentiment Stacks

Hello March, and hello the new FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sentiment Stacks! I have always thought that you can never have too many sentiment stamp sets in your stash, so let me tell you that, Sentiments Stacks can be a great addition to your stamp collection. The stamp set comes with six larger stamps that can be complemented with smaller words to create a perfect mix and match sentiments!

So this time I created two cards, showcasing some of the sentiments included in the set. Here is my card #1:

To create this card I white-embossed the “birthday’ sentiment over Huckleberry Fusion cardstock strip, and I complemented with the words “oops, I missed your” on top of it. I also used a frog from the Stick Around stamp, which I stamped over a piece of printed paper and die cut with its matching die.

The background was created with a small dauber dowel, clear pigment ink and whip cream embossing powder. I included a Whip Cream circle shape and a Citrus Cooler border to complement the focal point. I embellished the card with some Rainbow drops and on the inside of the card I stamped the word “sorry”.

Here is card #2:

For my second card, I white embossed the large word “sorry” over a Black Licorice cardstock strip, and I complemented it with the words “for your loss”. I also used one of the butterflies from the stamp set Small Things; I stamped it twice with black Licorice ink over Whip Cream cardstock, and then I die cut it with its matching die. I gave them a hint of color by tapping a few times a Watermelon Fusion ink pad, directly over the stamped butterflies.

I created a crisscross background with the edge of Black Licorice and Whip Cream ink pads over a Grape Fusion Panel. I also added some Whip Cream silk details to it. Finally, I arranged all the elements over the card, and I finished it up with sequins and rhinestones.

FSJ • Stamp of the Month: Penguin Waddle

Hey there! I am beginning this month with a card featuring the Stamp of the Month by Fun Stampers Journey: Penguin Waddle. This cute set includes a bunch of adorable penguins and various sentiments which are great to create winter cards 😉 Take a look:

I began by creating the background using a Catalina Splash Cardstock panel, and I simply rubbed Whip Cream PanPastel over the panel in a circular motion from the center towards the edges to create an ombré effect. Then, I simply matted the panel with Watermelon Fusion Cardstock and adhered the panel over a Pool Play Cardstock folded card. I flicked some Sparkle Silk over the background too.

I die cut the hill from Whip Cream cardstock and adhered it onto the card. Then, I stamped the penguins with Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink, I colored their feet and beaks with a color pencil, and stamped those cute hats. This set doesn’t have a matching die set, but they are super easy to fussy-cut with your detail scissors. Finally, I white embossed a sentiment and die cut it into a heart shape. I adhered penguins and heart with foam squares and embellish with Fashion Silver pearls, a piece of Silver Sparkle Washi Tape and a Petal Clip.

I fussy-cut the images with detail shears and arranged them over a Nestabilities Hemstitch Circle . I complemented with a sentiment, and a long vertical banner. FSJ • Stamp of the Month: Joyous Bird

Hello, hello ! I am back today to share a project that I created with the brand new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month! The name of this pretty set is Joyous Bird and it features images perfect to create Christmas cards, tags, etc.

So, using the main image I created this card:

The background was simply created with Lovely Blue Pearl Splash. I applied the color over a large acrylic block and I picked up the color with a Whip Cream cardstock panel, and then I also splashed a bit more to add tiny color dots of. Once the panel was dried, I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice ink. I also stamped the branch and the dove over Whip Cream cardstock. To color the image I used my Journey Color Burst color pencils. I was actually coloring the tiny details inside and outside of the lines, just to make the colors pop a bit more.

I matted the background panel with Limeade Splash cardstock and then I adhered it over a Candy Apple folded card. After that I adhered the dove and branch with foam squares. Finally, I embellished it with Fashion Silver pearls and of course I applied Journey Glaze details!

FSJ • Stamp of the Month: Friendship Blessing

Hello friends! As you all know, at Fun Stampers Journey we begin the month with a new Stamp of the Month. The name of this new set is  Friendship Blessing and it features wonderful floral images along with some nice sentiments. This is one of those sets that you can use all year round using any of your favorite stamping and coloring techniques.

Here is the card that I created for this release:

I began this card by adhering a plaid paper print rectangle (Good Life Prints) over a Rustic Rose cardstock folded card. I stamped the flower with Rustic Rose ink and the leaves with Green Olive ink. Then, I die cut the images with their matching die cuts. I also die cut a large circle and I stamped the berries image and the sentiment on it. After that, I arranged the stamped images on the left side and adhered them with foam squares.

I adhered the circle over the folded card with foam squares, and then I flicked Sparkle Silk and added some sequins. The stamps are so pretty that even with just using different colors of ink can make your cards look very nice.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Book Worm

Fun Stampers Journey begins this month with a new release of a great Stamp of the Month set: Book Worm. School days are about to begin so I think this set is quite perfect for that. It includes twelve pretty stamps and there is a matching die set also available for purchase.

For this release I created two cards, here is the first one:

I used one of the print papers from the Through the Years Prints collection as the background. Then I print the books images with Black Licorice Ink over a Whip Cream card-stock rectangle. I adhered this piece over the card. stamped the two books and cup image with Black Licorice ink, I colored it with Journey Color Splash Colors, and I die cut that it with its matching die.

I also white embossed the sentiment over a Black Licorice cardstock rectangle, and then I arranged everything together over the card. I used a piece of vellum paper as a mat for the black rectangle. I finished it up with some dots, a apple shape paper clip and some green pencils (sticky notes) which I think are just perfect as embellishments for my card.

For my second card I used the back of the same paper print I used for the first card as the background. I adhered this panel over a folded card and i also attached a piece of vellum paper with staples over the print.

This time I stamped the book image with Black Licorice ink over three different colors of card-stock matching the colors of the paper print. I fussy cut the three images with scissors and I white-embossed a sentiment over a Black Licorice rectangle.

I arranged everything over the card and I embellished it with dots, hearts an decorative tape. Simple yet fun.

Anyway, you will find a lot of wonderful inspiration and more details about the August SOTM over the Spellbinders-FSJ blog, and a great video for you to WATCH.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Age of Aquarium

Fun Stampers Journey begins this month with a new release of a great Stamp of the Month set: Age of Aquarium. One of the things I really like about this set is that the images are mainly solid… and you know that solid images are just perfect to create degradations of colors!

For my card, the images were stamped with two colors of ink. You can use a stamp positioner tool for this purpose or an acrylic block. You simply ink your stamp first with the lighter color and then highlight the edges or certain parts with a darker color. Quite easy but it really makes your stamped images stand out! After that, I fussy cut the images using my Detail Pro Shears, perfect for this task!

For the background of my card I used Catalina Splash Liquid Color along with shaving cream. After the panel was dried, I created a ocean scene with my stamped images and then, I stamped a sentiment and enhanced it with my favorite: Journey Glaze. I also stamped some bubbles with Whip Cream True Color Fusion Ink and I added some Wiggle Eyes to those cute fish. This a very fun stamp set to play with!

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sprinkled With Love

Hello, hello! As you all know, the beginning of each month at FSJ always means that it’s time to release a brand new Stamp of The Month. So, this month’s stamp set is called Sprinkled With Love  and let me tell you that it is a treat to create cards with it.

Who would say “no” to a donut?… Not me! This adorable set features delicious donut images as well as a super cute Unicorn and of course some sentiments.

All the images included in this set are deliciously perfect to create cards, tags, cupcake toppers, etc. I particularly like the cute unicorn image which is so fun to color. This time I used Splash Watercolor Pencils to color the images and Journey Glaze + Sparkle Cuts to make them even yummier!

I used the Decorative Hearts Die Set to die cut a heart shape to use it as a paper doily, and as one would expect I used the coordinating die set to die cut the donut. To finish up this card, I included a sentiment and some Sweet Candy Drops.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Natural Dreamer

The new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of The Month is called Natural Dreamer and it showcases pretty whimsy images that are just perfect to create fabulous projects. So, today I am sharing a card that I created with this set:

I began by stamping a Lace background image over a Watermelon Fusion cardstock panel with Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink. Then, I adhered the panel over a Sweet Berry folded card.

The focal point was created by Stamping the image over a Whip Cream circle with Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink. Then, I white-embossed a second image over vellum. After that, I placed the embossed image onto the Sweet Berry image a bit off center to create a shadow effect. With the image on the right place, I made some pencil marks so I could die cut the vellum into a circle slightly bigger than the one below. I adhered the two circles together with a few glue dots (placing them where they were not going to be noticeable).

The rest of the card was simple: a white-embossed sentiment over a Black Licorice strip and matted with a gold strip, Gold Fashion pearls, a heart shaped clip and some silk.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Fresh Start

April has just begun, so that means a brand new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month has just been released. This new stamp set is called Fresh Start. I love that this set features a bunch of flower images that are perfect to color using any of your favorite techniques. The sentiments included are also beautiful and just right for Spring.

For this card, I used Liquid Colors (Lemon Drop, Limeade Splash, Orange Creamsicle, and Sweet Pear) to create a fun background over a Whip Cream  Panel. I adhered this panel onto a Lemon Drop folded card. After that, I stamped the images with Black Licorice ink over Whip Cream  cardstock. I used a brush to color the images with Liquid Colors as well, and then I fussy cut the shapes with scissors.

Next, I adhered a piece of polka dot washi tape over a Whip Cream  long strip of cardstock , and I trimmed one of the ends to make it look like a long banner. I also die cut a hollow circle from Lemon Drop cardstock, and I used it as the frame for my bunch of flowers.

Last, I white-embossed a sentiment over Black Licorice cardstock, and I die cut it into a circle and I adhered it onto the card using foam squares. To finish up this card I added some sequins and glitter gems. I loved the color combination I used, so here you have it:
