Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the My Monthly Hero kit of November! This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY November 7th at 1pm (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. Kits begin shipping from Hero Arts on Monday, November 14.

The kit contains: a 4″x 6″ clear stamp set, a set of 13 dies for creating diamond-shaped ornaments and embellishments, a VersaMark ink cube, White Puff embossing powder, 10 half sheets of vellum card stock, 2 half sheets of each card stock: metallic red, metallic blue and patterned, Ornament hooks and more! There are several optional add-on items: DC200 Little Messages Stamp & Cut,

On the Hero Arts site, there are also a couple of mystery “grab bags” available:

The November kit was designed as a DIY, with ornaments, advent calendar containers, garlands, and lanterns (when cut-out in vellum and placed over tree lights) in mind – and beyond Christmas as party and wedding favors. This is a versatile kit that you don’t want to miss!  For today’s blog hop,  I created a card using some of the products included in the main kit. Check it out:

I have always thought that simple makes wonders. For my card,  I used one blue patterned paper to create a card base. After that, I created a rectangular panel with the metallic blue card stock and I silver-embossed a sentiment. I matted the panel with vellum card stock and I adhered the panel over the card base with foam tape.

Then, I die cut the triangular snowflake shape from a piece of blue metallic card stock, and I trimmed it into a triangle using a craft knife . I adhered a piece of vellum paper from behind and I adhered  the piece onto the card with foam tape as well. To finish off the card, I used a silver sequin  and twine from my stash.  Quite simple, but I think it looks very pretty.

  205. Your right, the card is simple but it doesn’t look simple. The shades of blue are so festive and I am a snowflake lover! I live in CT so usually we see plenty of snow in the winter except for last Christmas when it was 65 degrees on Christmas Day. The first snowfall is beautiful but then when all the sand trucks come around and the snow turns black, it’s not beautiful anymore. I wish the snow looked like your card all the time. It’s so pretty.
