As in every month, there are also some wonderful Add-On products, and with some of those, I created two cards that I am sharing with you today. My first card features Deeply in Love stamp set, its matching frame cuts and a wonderful die called Underwater Pillar Window Die, take a look:

Using Hero Arts Orchid and Indigo Bold Inks I created a two color background. I used a sponge dauber to achieve an ombré effect. After that, I die cut the the pretty Underwater Pillar Window Die from it. I took a shortcut to create this shaker card, because I used a clear pocket envelope which I filled with green confetti and some gold sequins instead of creating it with acetate and foam tape as we normally do. Although, the sequins and confetti don’t move around as much as a normal shaker card. The envelope comes with a sticky back, so I stuck it over a folded card. Then, I simply affixed the window shape over it with a few foam squares.

Next, I used the Deeply in Love stamp set and matching frame cuts to create the dips diver and algae foliage. Notice that I use a bit of marker details over the diver, just so the image doesn’t look so flat. I adhered the stamped images over the card with glue dots and foam tape and I complemented the card with a stamped sentiment, sequins and some tiny hearts that I cut using the HA Nested Hearts.

Card #2 showcases the Submarine Fancy Die. So, I die-cut the submarine from four different colors of cardstock and using detail scissors, I trimmed off different parts of the shape, kind of like assembling a tiny puzzle. I put the pieces together using craft glue.

Then, I made a few strips from different colors of cardstock and I adhered them over a white panel to create a striped background. After that, I simply adhered the panel over a folded card and I adhered the submarine with foam tape.

Additionally, I stamped a sentiment from the Deep Sea Messages over white cardstock and I die cut it into a circle. I want to point out the this stamp set was designed to go with the HA Peek-A-Boo dies, but of course you can use the sentiment and images to create whatever your heart desires 😉 Finally, I simple adhered some Blues Hero Hues Enamel dots to complement my card.

  6. Mariana, great cards! I wondered what that die with the deep sea diver looked like — that card is beautiful! HA always has such detailed dies and stamps, you really show them off to their best advantage!

  7. I love your deep sea diver on the first card and since I ordered that set I can say that this card inspires me. I also love the color pallet.

  8. I love how the hearts look like little heart shaped bubbles! For some shaker cards, I feel like less movement would be a bonus so that you can still see the sequins and/or glitter even when it’s still. The bills stripes on the second card are a perfect match for that submarine! I feel like that kind of die needs a simple and bold look to it.

  9. Love the diver, and how cool is that sub?? My husband works on submarines, so I was kind of hoping to have some subs in the release…I can’t believe there are two!!!

  10. Fabulous cards! I’m really smitten with the window opening and scene for your awesome shaker card! Wow! Love the cute sub on your second card also!

  11. What wonderful cards, Mariana! I love the deep sea diver with the shaker background! But your colour combo is so eye-catching and works so well with the submarine card! I must give it a try!! Thanks for the inspiration!! 🙂

  12. Mariana- I’m so impressed with your cards- that clear envelope tip for the shaker is great, and one I’m filing for future reference! I love how you used fhe window die for a peak-thru. And I can’t imagine the patience of cutting out specific pieces of the sub– you really nailed it! Be sure these go to someone special– they’ll no doubt appreciate them as much as we hoppers do!

  13. I cannot remember a better hop than this! These cards are fantastic, beautiful and awesome! The way you accent with color and placement is amazing! Love it! Like everyone else… I love the diver card so much!
