My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

The new My Monthly Hero kit has been just released and it will be available as of TODAY November 4 th at the Hero Arts store, but be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone. This month the kits will begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday, November 8th, and you can pre-order it today. I want to point out that you have the option to subscribe and receive the kit monthly and never miss one.

The theme for November features adorable images and dies perfect to create Holidays projects, take a look:

The kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 13 Coordinating Frame Cut Dies, 1 Doorway Fancy Die, 5 Fancy Dies, , 2 Plastic Ornaments, 6 Envelopes (Size A10), 6 Glassine Bags, and 1 Glitter Lacquer Pen. The value of this kit is $81.50, but it can be yours for only $34.99… so this is really a good deal!

This time I created three projects using some of the add-on products. The first card features the Tri-fold Edge Winter Pine Fancy Dies:

This is quite a simple card design where I die cut two of the dies to create a double layered card. I adhered them over a subtle background and I included a gold-embossed sentiment from the May your Home be filled with Joy stamp set. I embellished this card with just a few gold sequins.

My second card showcases one of my favorites sets of this release, the Christmas Gingerbread Cookies

I stamped the images with Intense Black Ink and I colored them with markers. I die cut the images with their matching dies. The sentiment was white-embossed over black cardstock, and then I die cut it into a label using one the dies included in the Holiday Meal Stamp and Cut set. I arranged and adhered the images over a subtle background sprinkled with Sparkle Silk.

My third project features a fun set called Mountain of Joy and its matching frame cuts:

I stamped the large image with Intense Black Ink and colored with markers without adding details of light or shadows… Then I added Glaze with Sparkle cut details over the bows and the ornaments. To create the background I put polka dot decorative tape over a white panel, then I adhered the colored image and I included a white-embossed sentiment to finish up this card.

Hero will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, November 10th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

  3. The stack of presents looks great colored simply, like an illustration. The polkadot washi and sparkle lacquer was a great touch!

  4. How beautiful! The card made with the Tri-fold Winter Pine die is so beautiful. I will be ordering that die when it comes back into stock. Thank you for the great inspiration.

  5. Great cards. Thanks for the different looks of them. You can go clean and simple or more elaborate, but either way they look great.
