Today we are celebrating the launch of the Winter 2016 release in the Hero Arts store!! The products have been shipping to retailers for a few weeks now, so you may have seen them out and about. As of today, you can see and get all the new fabulous Winter products at the HA store. So exciting!
As part of this hop, I created a card using a Stamp + Die Combo that I definitely like a lot: Holiday Mittens. I always like to make some small Holiday cards, because I think they look super cute and they are just perfect to give to some of the students at school.
I thought about making three cards from a single sheet of card stock instead of two. So, I placed my 8.5″ x 11″sheet of Snow Layering Paper horizontally into the trimmer, and I trimmed at 10.5″, 7″ and 3.5″. I folded each of the cards in half to created folded cards that measure 3.5″ x 4.25″
Then, I simply stamped the small mittens images using the colors of Mariana’s Pool ink cubes to create a pattern over the card front. Next, I used the Soft Pool ink cube to color a piece of Snow Layering Paper, directly dabbing the pad over it. Additionally, I stamped the mittens image with Deep Ocean ink cube, and die cut the shapes.
After that, I stamped the mittens cord, and the sentiment over the stamped card. To finish off the card, I adhered the mittens with foam tape, and I added some clear gemstones. I also experimented creating another size of card: 3.5″ x 5.25″, which is also a nice size and you can see below:
