Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the MMH kit of April!  This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY April 4th at 1pm (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

This new kit contains: a 4×6 clear stamp set, a set of four Frame Cuts dies (designed to cut and stack the flower into a layered element), a Paper Layering die (which allows you to pop-up a single stamped rose for a different dimensional look), a dot sheet of DANIEL SMITH watercolors in a palette specifically selected for Hero Arts (each dot of paint allows watercoloring of 2-3 images, to give you an introduction to these wonderful paints), a water brush, and heavy cardstock in cream and white, notecards and pearls. Please take a look:

There are 3 optional add-on items:  Happy Mother’s Day stamp set, Happy Mother’s Day Frame Cuts, and the fabolous DANIEL SMITH watercolor paints in 15ml tubes (18 colors in all which are the colors used on the Hero Arts Palette dot sheet.)

So for today I created a card, featuring the main stamp set, and some of the watercolor paints. I have to point out, that these watercolor paints are high quality and they are available in a wide variety of wonderful colors. I loved the dots sheet that is included in this month’s kit, because it is a great way to see how each of the colors work. The colors are really pretty, and it is hard to decide which one to use 😀

Anyway, I began by heat-embossing the image of the flower  and leaves a couple times over the heavy card stock with Brass embossing powder. Then, I colored the images with Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Siena, and Serpentine Genuine paints. After that I fussy cut the images (you can use the frame cuts instead).

I also heat-embossed some of the leaves and a flower bud over a heavy card stock panel. Then, I colored the images and I created a subtle background with Cerulean Blue.

Additionally, I stamped the sentiment one the panel with Intense Black ink, and I arranged the flower pieces over the panel with foam tape. At the end, I simply adhered the panel over a card base, and I embellished the card with some soft green pearls.
