A One Layer Card

Hi! This is a quick post to share a card I made for Kristina’s One Layer Card Challenge… This time, she is asking you to make a card with just one layer. As the focal point for my card, I used a wooden HA stamp that I think is perfect for the challenge. I directly applied different colors of  Distress ink, and sprayed plain water on it. The stamped image has a watercolor look 😉  This is one of the many techniques you can do using Distress Ink 😀 (You can  find some of those techniques at HA ) To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment, and some stitches:

Thanks a Bunch

Supplies:
Card stock: Strathmore (watercolor paper)•
Stamps: Hero Arts (Silhouette Meadow Flowers) (Thank You Sayings) • Kelly Panacci (stitches) •
Ink:   Distress Ink (Faded Jeans) (Tattered Rose) ((Shabby Shutters) (Peeled Paint) • Versafine (Vintage Sepia) •
Tools:  Creative Memories (corner punch) •

A Card for Embellish Color Challenge with Embossing

Hi there! It’s time for another fabulous Challenge at Embellish:

Aren’t those colors, and images so bright and happy? I really like the colors, and along with them, you have to use an embossing technique. Whatever you like the most 😀 You know that the dry embossing technique is one of my favorites, but for these favie stamps, I decided to use heat embossing. Be Happy & Tutorial

Hi there! I have a card to share 😀 I made this card to play along in the MFW Picking Up the Pieces Challenge. Well, I missed it …lol…They already  posted the winners 😀   Anyway, using the HA Be Happy Stamp Set, and the piecing technique I made this card:

Be Happy 2

While I was making my card, I thought it would be a good idea to share how I stamped the grass. So, I took some pictures that show how to make a continued grass image with a single stamp:

1) Stamp the grass image on a piece of white piece of paper.

2) Trim off the left, and right edges of the stamped image using detail scissors.

3) Add removable adhesive to the back of the white piece of paper (this is going to be a mask).

4) Stamp the grass image on the center of a green piece of paper.

5) Adhere the mask over the stamped image (green paper), and start stamping the grass image on both sides of the mask.

7) Move the mask over the other stamped images, and stamp again until you fill the paper with grass images on both sides.

8 ) Finally, you just need to use your craft knife to detail the grass and presto! Now you have a complete grass image for a card or any project 😀

Thanks for visiting 🙂 Have a great day!

A Happy Mother’s Day Card

Hello there! Today I am sharing a card I made using a HA digi-stamp. Actually, the original flower has a short stem. So, I drew a long stem, and a couple of leaves too 😉 I colored them using Copic markers, and I added texture to the background. I complemented the card with a sentiment, stitching, twine and a button. Here is how it looks:

Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a great rest of the week!

A Card for Embellish Parties Color Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! Today we are  starting a new great, and fun challenge over at Embellish Magazine:

The theme for the challenge are parties, so you can create something related to it: invitations, party favors, tags, etc. The sponsor for this challenge is DeNami Design Rubber Stamps. Their stamp designs are super cute. They are perfect to mix, and match.  The card I made for the challenge is featuring one of the images of Whimsical Wedding stamp set , and the Wedding Circle.   I used the bouquet image to make the background of my card, and I also used it with the circle to create the focal point . In addition, I  made a party favor that matches the card. These Clear Boutique Boxes are available at DeNami Design store as well.
