Happy Friday, friends! I am back today to share a couple of cards that I created using one of my favorite sets from the new Fun Stampers Journey Inspiration Book and Catalog 2018-2019. The set that I am talking about is called “Don’t Hurry” and it features a cute Sloth and some other coordinating images. The two cards that I made for today are different. For the first one I created a “jungle’ type of scene for the adorable sloth:First, I made a fun and quick background using the new Wallpaper stencil , Kiwi Slice ink and a dauber over a Limeade Splash panel. I like how you can achieve an ombré effect with a dauber and the ink pad over the leaves! ;)Then, I stamped the cute sloth and branches over Oatmeal card stock with Black Licorice ink, and I colored them with Color Burst color pencils. I fussy cut the images and I affixed them over a a circle with foam squares. The sentiment was simply white embossed over a Pumpkin Bread circle, and the final touches were Gold Silk plus Fashion Gold pearls. Here is the color combo for this card:For my second card I wanted to create a different feeling from the previous card, since I wanted to use that cute pj shirt image over the sloth, so I created a nocturnal scene for him. To do so, I used one of my favorites color combos, take a look:I created a moon shape using two size of circle dies, and I adhered it over a Black Licorice panel matted with Candy Apple card stock. I stamped the sloth image over Whip Cream cardstock with Black Licorice ink. colored the sloth with Color Burst color pencils as well, and I stamped the pjs using Candy Apple ink. Finally, I coordinated the moon scene with a star banner, Sparkle silk and some silver sequins. Here is the color combo that I used for my card:Please be sure to visit the Fun Stampers Journey Blog, and Facebook page… As part of the new catalog lunch we are having daily live videos and inspirational blog posts!
