Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the MMH kit of May!  This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY May 2nd at 1pm (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. Be aware that this kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

This month’s kit was inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her wonderful Share Handmade Kindness campaign. The kit contains: A 4×6 clear stamp set, gift card envelope die, four half sheets of cardstock in tiffany blue and green apple, four half sheets of vellum in turquoise and iridescent white, ten white tags, .5 oz silver embossing powder, gray twine, and gems. Chexk it out:

There are 2 optional add-on items: CL981 Happy Mail  and  DI192 Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. Please click on the images below for a closer look:

So for today I created a card, featuring the original stamp set of this campaign called Acts of Kindness, which you can currently buy at the HA store. You can read more about this set by clicking  >>>HERE<<<

I created a simple card featuring one of the sentiments of the set. I stamped it with Neon Chartreuse to Blue ink over a white card stock panel. Then I created a butterfly with two  heart images and I also stamped some other tiny hearts here and there.

To create the butterfly trail I stamped one of the images from the optional set Happy Mail with  Intense Black Ink. I added Glossy Accents over the hearts  along with Crystal Coarse glitter. Over the sentiment, I only added Glossy Accents. I adhered the panel over a Tiffany Blue cardstock and a piece of decorative tape over the left side.

Finally, I adhered gemstones to embellish the card.

As part of this release, Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader – selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Here is the list of bloggers so you can get lots of inspiration:

  17. I really love the look of this ombré ink pad! I don’t particularly like neon colors since they are often “too bright” for my eyes, but these colors seem a bit toned down (in a good way)! I’ll have to add this to my cart soon!

  18. An outstanding kit, showcased in a most stellar fashion. Swooning over your pretty butterfly! Whoever receives your bright, beautiful card will be deeply touched by your gesture. I know I am…Thank you!

  19. Beautiful card! I love the colors! I forget that two hearts make a pretty little butterfly. Washi tape is a secret weapon that makes a sweet addition!
    Thanks, Deb

  20. Hmmmm – paper layering! I really want to do that now! My wallet is getting thinner while my den/craftroom is getting smaller! Thank you for sharing your ideas – LOVE them!
