An i {heart} papers Card [Many Thanks]

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a tiny card (3″x3″) that I created using some products that I bought at the i {heart} papers store…

I used patterned papers from a 6×6 paper pad collection called Be Different by Fancy Pants, and cute stamp set called You are a Hoot by Lawn Fawn (along with its matching dies.) That owl is super cute, don’t you think? Additionally I used a sentiment by Paper Smooches (Word Salad), wiggly eyes and Glossy Accents over the sentiment (I love Glossy Accents!)

As you all know, the i {heart} papers store is closing and their merchandise is currently on liquidation, so don’t forget to visit them to see what great products are still available. The current discount is 50% off! Use coupon code BYEIHP at checkout.

Well, that’s all from me right now, I will be back soon to share another card!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a wonderful crafty week!

i {heart} papers Card [Thanks]

Hi!

I am back today to share another card featuring products that you can buy at the i {heart} papers store.

The set that I used for my card is a Holiday set  called  Love You a Latte by Lawn Fawn. The set includes six sentiments, among them a “thanks” sentiment. I love when you can buy versatile stamp sets that you can use in more than one way. With this set, you can make Holiday, or Thanks , or Love cards 🙂

I begun this project by making a card base, and then, I covered the front of it with a striped patterned paper that belongs to a collection called Simple Life Dots & Stripes by Echo Park. Next,  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a white panel, and I colored the images with Copic markers.  I also added some glitter little details, as well as Glossy AccentsThen, I made a panel from black card stock  (3.75″ x 5″) and die-cut a 2.75″ circle to create a window. I placed this panel on top of the stamped white panel with foam tape. Finally I adhered the panel to the front card, and I tie on black bakers twine… and presto!

Well, that’ all from me today. Thanks for visiting, have a nice crafty week!

A LF Card [Love Life] + Embellishment Keeper

Hi Friends!

I am back today to share a simple card using a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Fly Free… perfect for the Inspiration theme of the month 🙂

020514web_lovelife

I used  two patterned papers  included in an  Amy Tangerine 6×6 paper pad collection called Ready Set Go by American Crafts. Did you notice it? No stitches, no sequins… Just a button threaded with hemp cord  as the only embellishment 🙂  Believe it or not, sometimes is hard to keep it clean and simple 🙂

I also want to share today about a little project that you can easily make at home. As you have noticed before, I love using pearls, gems and enamel dots on my projects… and I have many of them (I think I have an addiction here) Well, keeping them in their original clear bag is impossible, at least for me. I always end up damaging the little bags. One time I had the “brilliant idea” of  keeping all of them inside a plastic container, without the bag… Oops! my idea was not so brilliant because they end up very messy… with fibers and little pieces of paper all over them 😦 After my own brain storm, I thought that the inexpensive photo albums that you can find almost anywhere are just perfect for my favorite embellishments…

The best part is that you can give them your personal touch. The covers can easily be changed so, I created my own covers with patterned paper. I adhered the patterned paper to the original covers, just to make them a bit thicker and sturdy. Next, I designed, printed out and trimmed a label…

… and this is how it looks my handy dandy Embellishment Keeper 🙂

Inside, I got rid of the clear bags of my embellishments , and I only kept the name of the manufacturer , just in case I need the ñame as a reference. You can easily see what you have available, and the embellishments are always  free of dust and ready to use  🙂

Well, I hope you like this idea… Easy and inexpensive to make.

I hope you have a fabulous crafty rest of the week 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

A LF Card [We Will Weather…]

Hi!

Today I am sharing a repeated card that I posted a while ago. This is one of my favorite cards ever, and it features two pretty sets by Lawn Fawn:Critters in the Burbs and Partly Cloudy

We Will Weather...

I love those dogs… very very cute 🙂 There isn’t anything really special on this card, just patterned paper, and white embossing powder to make the cloud, and raindrops stand out 🙂

Thanks for stopping by :) Have a wonderful crafty day!

A HA Card [Winter Wishes] + Giveaway

Hi there!

The other day I went to the Archivers store near by to buy some embellishments, and there I was told that the store will be closing its door very soon. That is sad news for me. I loved to go and spend time there.  I am sure that the inspiration, friendly employees and huge selection of products are going to be missed by many of the crafty ladies around this area.  I just hope that the remaining stores around the country don’t end up the same way… I really wish them the best.

Well, I bought a Basic Grey 6×6 paper pad called Hey You and I created a winter card. I  used a cute snowman image included in a Hero Arts stamp set called Snow Much Joy, and the sentiment from  Winter Wishes. I embellished my card with snowflakes and sequins by Lawn Fawn, and as a final touch I added some gemstones and Glossy Accents…

Telephone Color Trends Challenge

Hi there!

Welcome to another  fabulous challenge…

Sorry for the late post… I went to Las Vegas for a few days, and I took my iPad with me because I had the good intention to post my cards on time but,  the internet connection in our hotel was terrible. So, I gave up, and I just waited until we came back.  Well, I am glad we are back, safe and sound. But we are exhausted! 🙂 I have always thought that we need to take some extra days off right after your vacation… to rest from your vacation, Don’t you think? 😉

Anyway, we have some yummy colors and a fun inspirational image for the challenge… So I prepared a card, featuring a phone image included in Just My Type by Lawn Fawn and sentiment included in Heyday Thoughts by Hero Arts and Basic Grey …

You can look for more inspiration and details at Embellish Magazine where you can also check out the other DT fantastic sample projects! Remember: you are invited to participate, and you have plenty of time to submit your projects.

Challenge ends Thursday, July 5th, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST

A LF Card [Bon Voyage] + Giveaway

Hi there!

I haven’t participated in any challenges for a while. I wish I could do it more often but, time and organization aren’t my best friends lately 😦 (…just lately? Are you kidding, Mariana?… lol) Anyway, let’s talk about something else, ok? 😉 Last night before I went to bed, I created a little card using a pretty set that sweet Kelly Marie Alvarez from Lawn Fawn sent me. Thanks Kelly! This set is called Bon Voyage and includes seven super fun images 😉 I used two of the images and the sentiment to make a card in order to participate in the Color Inspiration Challenge #7. This challenge will run through midnight (MDT) on Tuesday, August 2. So if you wish to join the fun, you have enough time to get some inspiration, and submit your projects. If you click on the colors below, you will go directly to their Flickr gallery, where you can join them 🙂

A LF Card [Congrats]

Hi there!

I know, I haven´t been posting cards lately… Well, I am in Mexico, again.  I will talk about my trip, as soon as I have a chance. For the moment, I am sharing a card that I created last month for our niece who just graduated from high school. Well, I thought the card should have a pocket for a gift-card. So I looked for inspiration on the internet. I found this cool tutorial that shows how to make a Matchook Gift Card Holder… I used Lawn Fawn stamps, and I created this cute Congrats card…My card is a little bit different inside… but I think it worked out perfectly fine…We used the white space, to write our message 🙂

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a great rest of the week!
