FSJ • Praying for You

Hi there! I have always liked to create my own backgrounds. Sometimes when I am just playing with some fun products like the Fun Stampers Liquid Colors and the Journey Gel Press, it is hard to stop… I usually end up making many backgrounds! Today I am sharing a card that I made using one of those backgrounds along with some other products by Fun Stampers Journey

081217web_prayingforyou

To create the background I simply put Lemon Drop and Fresh Forest Liquid color drops over the Journey Gel Press. Then, I sprayed a little bit of water with a mister  and  I spread the color with a brayer. I waited a few seconds until dots of color were formed over the Journey Gel Press and then I placed a Whip Cream panel over to pick up the color.  The beautiful flowers image is from a set called Beauty Blooms. To give the stamped image an ombré effect, I applied different colors of ink over the stamp with sponge daubers. To complement the focal point, I stamped a sentiment with Black Licorice ink over a strip of Whip Cream cardstock. Then, I fussy-cut the images with my favorite scissors, the Details Pro Shears!

081217web_prayingforyou2

I also die cut a tag from Fresh Forest cardtsock and then, I  layered all the card components using foam squares. I added some details like Journey tape, rainbow drops, Natural Thread, and a vellum strip behind the sentiment.  I was very happy with the results.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I’ll be back soon to share another project.

Thanks for stopping by:) Have a wonderful crafty rest of the week!

FSJ Ink Promotion + Love You Card

Hi there! Today I want to share about a great Fun Stampers Journey promotion during the month of August:

August-Promo-FB-Social-Share-2.jpg

The True Color Fusion inks are non-solvent hybrid of pigment and dye, and they dry quickly, retaining their vibrant colors, and they are also fade-resistant. These inks work on any surface, including paper, wood, fabric, and acrylic, and they become permanent when heat-set on non-paper materials.

I have to point out that all the ink pads can be purchased individually (20% off) or also as bundles (15% off) through a FSJ Coach. If you are not sure on how to find one near you, you will find a link on the upper right corner on the FSJ Home page.

So for today I also made a clean and simple card, using some of these yummy colors. Check it out:

080717web_LoveYou

The stamp set that I used is called Dear Rose. What I like about this set is that you can either stamp the images with black, and then color them with your favorite color technique or, you can  simply stamp the images using different colors of ink, like I did.

First,  I stamped the rose and then, I masked it with a sticky note to be able to stamp the stem and leaves close to the rose image. Simple basic stamping.  I think the rose image is quite pretty and even a simple technique makes your project look great 😉

FSJ • Journey Gel Press Fun Projects

Hey there! I am back to share a couple of cards that I created using the new Journey Gel Press  and Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate.  Last June, I had the chance to be in one of the Gel Press workshops that took place at the FSJ Convention as an spectator. One of the things that I liked the most about it, was the versatility. There is no wrong way whatsoever while using the press.  The paper literally gets transformed into beautiful unique backgrounds that you can use for your cards, scrapbooking, etc. It is so much fun!

Last week, Richard did some videos featuring the regular flat press and the heart one as well. You can see some of these videos by clicking >>>HERE<<<

For my first card I created a multi layer background using the Journey Gel Press  and the Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate . Check it out:

071717web_youareamazing

I used the regular Gel Press to create a  background over a Whip Cream panel inking the surface directly with my ink pad. Then, I placed the panel over it to pick up the ink.  The result was an uneven subtle background. Quick and easy.

123

After that, I inked the Hearts Gel Press with a darker color and I placed the Whip Cream Panel on top of the Gel Press.

45

Next, and just to give the hearts a different look I randomly inked the hearts only using the side of the ink pad. Then, I place the cardstock panel over my table, and flipped over the Heart Gel Press  and carefully placed it onto the panel trying to match the hearts below. I repeated this twice.

67

Since I was experimenting with this background, I also stamped the Vintage Notes background on top of my Gel Press impressions.   I stamped a sentiment and I finished my card with Journey Glaze, Journey tape and sequins.

071717web_youareamazing2

For my  second card, I used the the Journey Gel Press  and the Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate  as well, but this time I did not create that many layers of ink, but at the end I was very pleased with the results. Take a look…

071717web_hellolove

If you like to experiment and play with different mediums, I highly recommend you to try the Journey Gel Press. It is so much fun to create with it.

FSJ • Good Luck

Happy Friday everyone! Fun Stampers Journey is starting this month with the release of its new Catalog that you can see by clicking >>>HERE<<<I am very excited about it, since there is a lot of work behind this release, and honestly… The big catalog is amazing. There is a fun video that you can see >>>here<<< where you can see all the process of it.

So today, I am very happy to share a card that I made using one of the NEW stamp sets that belongs to the Mystic Romance Collection. This collections is quite unique since the images and sentiments look like embroidery, and I love that! You can either use simple stamping techniques or unleash your creativity and explore other techinque with them. The set that I used is called Tiger Bonsai and it features a Tiger, along with other images (a coordinating  die set is also available).

070317web_goodluck

For my card I simply stamped the tiger image over Citrus Cooler cardstock with Black Licorice Ink. I added some white details over the tiger with my Color Burst color Pencils, and I die cut the shape with its coordinating die.

070317web_goodluck2

For the background, I stamped the different leaves included in the set over Green Olive cardstock with Kiwi Slice ink. I also added a few details here and there with my Color Burst  white color pencil,  just to make it a bit more interesting. The sentiment was stamped over a Whip Cream pierced rectangle and I matted it with an Oatmeal Cookie cardstock rectangle.

070317web_goodluck3

I used the Fun Triangles die to create a strip from Oatmeal Cookie cardstock  and I added  a strip of  Cranberry Bliss cardstock underneath.  Finally, I layered all the different elements over my card, and I added some final touches: Journey Glaze, Silk, sequins and black thread.

Please be sure to visit the Richard Garay Signature Page on Facebook (Richard has been sharing videos creating amazing projects using this collection) and of course, the Fun Stampers Journey Blog.   My talented team pals   Michelle WoernerLaura Williams, and Patricia Roebuck have also being busy sharing fabulous projects using Mystic Romance as well.

FSJ • Happy 4th of July

Hi there! Just really quick to share a card that I created using some of the products that were included in the Fun Stampers Journey Spring into Summer Catalog. I have to point out that the new big catalog was recently released, and you can take a peek by clicking >>>HERE<<< It is amazing, full of lots of inspiration and new products.

070317web_happy4july

For my card, I used the Back Yard Party Prints to create a partial background over a Denim Days card. I also created a long banner using Cranberry Bliss cardstock. Then I stamped the Liberty image onto Whip Cream cardstock with River Stone ink. I die cut it into a star shape using the Star Dom die set. I also die cut a bigger star from vellum and I used it below the stamped star.

070317web_happy4july2

Then, I stamped the sentiment with Catalina Splash and Cranberry Bliss ink colors. I trimmed it with scissors and I layered the stars and sentiment over the card. Finally, I added  the Silver Sparkle tape, Sparkle Silk, silver sequins and Summer Play Sparkles.  I have to confess that lately the Silver Sparkle tape and the Sparkle Silk are my favorites! They look amazing and they are just perfect as the final touches for your projects.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I hope you enjoy this 4th of July along with your family and friends. I’ll be back soon to share another project.

FSJ• Way To Go!

Hi there! It has been a while since the last time I posted a project here on my blog, sorry about that. I have to say that it feels good to be able to share again. For the last few months I have been really busy creating like never before! On the good note, the new FSJ big catalog was revealed last week during the 2017 Fun Stampers Journey Convention in Phoenix, but it won’t  be until next month when everybody can see it 😉 I will share when that day comes! It is amazing!

Today I am sharing a masculine card that I created using some stamps that I like a lot.  I used Rock Candy cardstock to create the card base, and then I stamped the Ink Splat stamp over with Whip Cream Ink. I also stamped the sentiment with this ink, to create a white shadow.

060517web_waytogo

I stamped the sentiment again with Black Licorice Ink over the white one. Since you want the white image to be a shadow, unprecision is your friend, right? 😉 After that, I applied Journey Glaze over the words and Iet it dry. Meanwhile, I stamped the vintage truck onto Candy Apple cardstock with Black Licorice Ink.

060517web_waytogo2

I added som white details with a white Color Burst color pencil. I fussy cut the truck with my scissors and I adhered the piece with Journey squares. Finally, I embellished the card with Silver Silk and rhinestones. Easy peasy, don’t you think? At the end of this post you will find the complete list of supplies.

FSJ• Be Mine Mini Cards

Hi! I am back today to share a mini card with envelope that I made featuring a few products by Fun Stampers Journey perfect for Valentines.

020917web_bemine

One of the things I love to do when I have time to play a little bit is to make my own backgrounds. So for this card, I began by creating the main panel. I used a craft sheet to spray a little bit of Cosmic Grape and Watermelon Splashes. Then, I picked up the color by placing a Whip Cream Panel over it, I flipped it over, and I let it dry. Next, I used Heart Stencil Wall to apply Journey Gesso with a sponge, and I let it dry as well.

020917web_bemine5

After that, I die cut the panel into a pierced square, and then, I stamped a sentiment with Black Licorice Ink. I added Journey Glaze over each of the words. Next, I adhered the square panel onto a 3″ x 3″ Cosmic Grape card base.  To create the glittered heart, I adhered a piece of White Liner sheet over Whip Cream card stock. Then, I die cut a heart shape from it. I removed the paper liner to expose the sticky side and I applied glitter over it.  I adhered the heart onto the card with a foam square.  I embellished the card with a piece of Whip Cream Sparkle tape and a few silver sequins.

020917web_bemine4

I made a coordinated envelope using a fun die called Note-Envelope. This envelope fits perfectly my mini card 😉 I love this die because it has scored folds and it closes with no need of adhesive.

020917web_bemine2

To match it with the card,  I stamped the Ink Splatter stamp over the envelope with Cosmic Grape Ink, and I also stamped a mini heart with Black Licorice Ink. I added Journey Glaze over the little heart.

020917web_bemine3

Finally, I adhered a heart shape on the back of the envelope just as an extra detail.

———- ♥ ———-

Well, that’s all from me for today, I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day celebrating with family and friends. I’ll be back soon to share another project.

FSJ• Love is All You Need

Last year when I went to Mexico to my mom’s house, I found a bunch of slides that my dad took of the family.  I found one of myself with a cat when I was maybe three or four years old. This is one of those pictures that can demonstrate that cats have always been a part of my life 🙂 Anyway, I scanned the slide and printed it out to make a page  with it. The resolution of the picture is not good at all, but I think it is ok for my project. So today I am sharing an 8 x 8 page that I created using several products by Fun Stampers Journey. Check it:

011817web_allyouneedislove

To create this page I began by creating the background. I used the Heart Wall stencil along with PanPastels to create a subtle backgrounds that blends with the white card stock base. After that, I stamped the cute cat images randomly with River Stone ink. I also flicked some Bubble Gum and Silver Silks over it.

011817web_allyouneedislove4

I added a  couple of layers of card stock, a border and washi tape, that work as the base of the picture. I adhered this to the page with adhesive and I secure it with a couple of staples on both sides.  I die cut a pierced heart, and I stamped a sentiment with Black Licorice ink.

011817web_allyouneedislove3

I want to point out that this sentiment is included in a set called Amazing Day that belongs to the Bloom This Way Mini Catalog (recently released). I added color to the word love with Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils . I also applied Journey Glaze over it. I added this heart onto the page with foam squares.

011817web_allyouneedislove5

At this point I thought my page was still missing a few more details. So, I added  some punched hearts, a partial stamped border on the top of the page and a complementary sentiment. To finish it off, I embellished it with some dots and rhinestones.

011817web_allyouneedislove2

I love creating pages for my albums. This particular one was fun, not just because that page was about my childhood, but because I was able to include many Fun Stampers Journey products that I really like!

Today’s Card: Christmas Wishes

This is the time of the year that I start  gathering the Christmas cards that I have made so far, in order so send them to my friends. In past years, I have selected a card design that I really like and I have mass-produced it. Well,  for the last couple of years I have been busier than normal,  so I have opted for sending only  the cards that I have. I like selecting the cards I believe my friends would like, and then I write a few lines for each of them. Anyway, today I am sharing a simple card that I made using some Hero Arts products.

113016web_christmaswishes

To create the background I used the Calendar Bold Prints stamp using Unicorn Pigment Ink over a Blush Mix Layering paper panel. I adhered this panel over a card base.

113016web_christmaswishes2

To create the main panel, I used a very pretty  stamp set  called Vintage Christmas Wishes. I simply stamped the images using different colors of ink over a Snow Layering paper panel (Moss Hybrid Ink, Caramel Hybrid Ink, Soft Granite Shadow Ink, and Intense Black ink). Then, I tied a Bakers twine bow, and I matted the panel with Kraft card stock. I adhered the panel over the card base, and after that,  I simply embellished the card with gemstones, sequins and  Glossy Accents.

Hopefully this year I can send my cards by the end of the second week of December. How about you? Do you like to make different designs  or only one? Are you still in the process of making your Holiday cards?

Well, that’s all from me for today, I’ll be back soon to share another project.

FSJ • Season’s Greetings Card

Hello everyone! I am back today just to share a card that features a stamp set bundle called Robin Holiday, and I paired it with some other fabulous products by Fun Stampers Journey.

112216web_seasonsgreetings5

The stamp  set includes two pretty Robin images as well as some matching sentiments. These are the perfect images to color using your favorite coloring technique. In this case I used the Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils, which are super fun to use.

Anyway, I began by creating a card base, and a stamped background panel. The background stamp that I used is called  Striped Love Stamp . This large background was stamped over Cool Pool card stock with Cool Pool ink. Then I layered it over the card base. I created a pierced panel using the Pocket Cuts die set and Whip Cream card stock. I adhered this panel over the background.

112216web_seasonsgreetings6

I stamped the pretty bird over Whip Cream card stock with Black Licorice Ink. These images are quite detailed, so this makes the coloring part even easier. After the coloring part was done, I die cut the image with its matching die.  I also stamped a sentiment over Whip Cream card stock and I die cut it into an oval.

112216web_seasonsgreetings4

Using Journey Thread Gold I created a couple loops onto the card, and then I adhered the bird image and sentiment using some Journey Foam Squares.  To finish off this card,  I flicked Gold silk over it,  I added some Journey Glaze and Sparkle cuts details, as well as some  Holiday Sequins.

Please be sure to visit the Fun Stampers Blog for inspiration, tips and ideas. They are  currently  having a promotion on planners and products now through December 31st.  The have put together bundles,  either size personal or the A5 planner (like the one I am showing today).  Please be sure to visit the FSJ store to see the amazing  bundles by clicking on the image below:
