Today’s Card: Happy Birthday

Hi! I am finally back today just to share a card that I created using some great products by Hero Arts. Have you seen the new Summer Catalog yet? If not, please click >>>HERE<<< so you can check it out  🙂 You can find all the new products available at the Hero store.

To create this Birthday card, I began by making a card base with green card stock. Then I stamped the Garland Bold Prints cling stamp over the card with  Lime Green Mid-Tone Shadow ink.

I created the focal point using a cute dog that belongs to a set called Party Time by Lia and I combined it with a woodblock stamp called Birthday BalloonsI stamped both images with Intense Black Ink over Snow layering Paper. First I stamped the dog, I masked it with a sticky note, and then I stamped the balloons image.

After that, I colored the images with markers. I added Glossy Accents over the balloons,  I sprinkled Cristal Coarse on them too, and I let it dry. Next, I cut out the image with scissors and I adhered it onto a white pierced rectangle with foam tape.

I adhered the whole piece over the card base. Then, I white-embossed the sentiment over a piece of black cardstock and I adhered it to the card. To finish off the card, I added some enamel dots as embellishments.

I don’t make birthday cards very often, but I really like when you are able to combine images to create a fun happy scene to cheer somebody’s special day.

Merry Christmas Card + Two HA Giveaways

Hello! This year is almost gone, and it is hard to believe how fast it has passed by. The New Year always bring hope of a new beginning and a list of personal resolutions. I don’t like to make my list very long, but on next year’s list I would like to  add an extra blog resolution: “make giveaways more often”. Giveaways are always fun, and it is a way to share the joy, in my case, of stamping and making crafts in general with my readers. I have been very fortunate to be part of two fabulous Design Teams, and  I am very thankful of their generosity.  So today I am sharing a card that I created using a few products from the Hero Arts 2015 Holiday Collection, just to wish  you all Merry Christmas. I hope you cherish the moments you spend with your family and friends in this holiday season 🙂

Anyways, I am not going to say how I created my card this time, because I don’t want to make this post too long, but I do want to mention the wonderful products that I used to create it: Foliage  Mix folded cards, Brass Embossing Powder, Paper Layering Ornament Fancy Die, Garland Bold Prints (large cling background), and Holiday Greetings (clear stamp set.) That being said, now it is time to mention the…

Today’s Card: CHEER

Today I have a card to share with you which features some Hero Arts products from the  2015 Holiday Collection. The set that i chose for this card is called Joyful Tidings Tag Set by Lia. This set includes a metal die-cut along with some sentiments. To create my card,  instead of using the set to create a tag, I used the ornament shape as the focal point of my card.

First, I created the background using a cling stamp named Garland Bold Prints along with Brass embossing powder over a Kraft panel. After that,  I die-cut the ornament shape from red card stock, and I cut out a circle from white cardscotk (matching the size of the ornament shape). I put Versamark ink directly over the white circle, and I heat-embossed it using Brass embossing powder. Then, I adhered the circle behind the ornament, and I put it onto the card with foam tape. Next, on a white cardtstock strip, I heat-embossed the word “Cheer”, and I adhered it over the ornament shape. Last, I embellished the card with gold cord and red gemstones.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I will be back soon to share another card.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a wonderful crafty rest of the week!

Today’s Card: Season’s Greetings

Hello everyone!

I am back today to share another Holiday card using Hero Arts products. The set that my card features is called Winter Bear by Lia.  This set includes many cute images, along with a couple of matching metal die-cuts. I want to point out that Lia’s Collection is amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet, please be sure to check it out on the Hero Arts 2015 Holiday Catalog 🙂

I began by stamping a a card base with a large background stamp called Candy Stripes Bold Prints using Tide Pool Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.  Then,  I stamped the little bear and pine tree with Black ink. I colored the tree with a green marker. I also stamped a little yellow star on top of the tree. I complemented the cute scene with a sentiment included in Happy Merry Messages by Lia which is another “must have set”. The mama bear was stamped and die-cut with its matching die, and I foam mounted it onto the stamped panel.  Next, I adhered the panel onto the card base and I embellished it with gemstones, Stickles and silver cord.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I will be back soon to share another card.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a wonderful crafty week!

Today’s Card: Hello Friend

Here is card that I made with one of the backgrounds that I created for the Hero Arts Video: Using Die Cuts as Masks (click  HERE to watch it).

This is the same technique of the second card presented on the video, and let me tell you that it is really fun to make these backgrounds. I used the Mum Cutting Set by Lia, as well as a stamp set called Friends. The Ink is Bubble Gum MId-Tone Shadow Ink, and Black Dye Ink.

Well, that’s all from me for today, I will be back soon to share another project.

Today’s Card: Welcome to the World…

Here is a card that I made using a c woodblock set called: Cute Animal Trio Artistic Impression along with its matching frame cuts

I stamped the cute images over white cardstock using Color Brights and Color Lights by Lia. These little ink cubes are very juicy, and I love how crisp the images look when using these inks. After that, I die-cut the images, and I used the frame-cuts again over Poppy layering paper. Then I inserted the stamped images in the yellow panel , and  I secured them with regular tape from behind. After that, I stamped a sentiment included in a clear set called Little One using Cup O’Joe Mid-Tone Shadow ink. It is hard to see, but  I stamped again with Versamark over the sentiment, and then heat-emboss with Clear Embossing Powder. At the end I just stamped a little pink heart and adhered the panel to a Kraft card base.

Well, that’s all from me right now, I will be back soon to share another card!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Have a wonderful crafty rest of the week!

HA Card [Thanks] +Tutorial

Hi there!

I am back today to share a pretty card that I made using some Hero Arts products (you will find the supply list at the end of this post.)

I am not sure how to call the technique I used to create this card … Maybe “double sponge coloring?” 🙂 Anyway, I took some pictures with my phone to show exactly what I did 🙂

mgtut1First, I taped down the stencil (you can use painter’s tape) and then, I dabbed  on the white pigment ink all over using a jumbo sponge dauber to create the first layer.

It is important to let the firs layer dry, but if you don’t like to wait (like me), be sure to dab the second ink color over an acrylic block.  That way you won’t contaminate the ink pad with the white pigment ink (Pigment inks don’t dry quickly.)   I created the second layer by applying more color over the edges and less color on the center to achieve an ombré effect 😉 Then, I just let it dry a little bit, and I carefully removed the stencil.

At the end I gold-embossed a simple sentiment and I added a daisy accent w/gem. Here is the supply list for you:

Floral Vines Stencil
Thanks Stamp & Cut
Daisy Cutting Set by Lia
Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink
Bubble Gum Mid-Tone Shadow Ink
Gold Embossing Powder
Kraft Paper
Others: Gold wrapping Paper, big pink gemstone, jumbo sponge dauber.

Well, that’s all from me right now, I will be back soon to share another project!
