FSJ • You Hold the Key to My Heart + Giveaway Winner

Hello, hello! I am back today just to share another card that I made using the pretty Stamp of the Month by Fun Stampers Journey, and to announce the name of the winner of this wonderful stamp set.

I made a simple background by stamping a lock image over a Cool Pool panel with Limeade Splash ink. I adhered the panel onto a Limeade Splash folded card. The wings were white embossed on Watermelon Fusion cardstock and then, die cut with its matching die.

I stamped the sentiment over a Whip Cream circle with Black Licorice ink. The key wast stamped with Black Licorice ink and die cut with its matching die. I arranged the elements over the card, and added some final touches: a heart shaped gem, Journey tape and Journey Glaze details.

Today’s Card: Love +Giveaway Winners

Hi there! I am back today just to share a card featuring products from the new 2016 Hero Arts Valentine’s Collection.

I created the background using the Candy Stripe Bold prints (one of my favorites stamps lately) and two different colors of Shadow Inks (Mint Julep and Ultra Pink). I white-embossed the Love Little Heart woodblock stamp over a black rectangle. Then, I matted it with a pink vellum rectangle that I also white-embossed with some little hearts included in Love Stamp & Cut set. To create the pink heart, I stamped the LOVE sentiment over pink card stock, and I cut out the heart with scissors. Then I simply adhered it with a foam dot. Finally,  I embellished the card with some sequins.

A JD Card [Thank You] + Giveaway Winner :)

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had a nice Easter along with your family and friends 🙂 Today I have a short post just to share a card that I made using Jane’s Doodles stamps. I am cleaning my working area, because next weekend our carpet will be replaced 🙂 I think this is a good time to organize, clean and also a very good opportunity to get rid off the supplies I don’t want anymore. My scrap-space is small and it needs some little changes 🙂 Anyway here is my card…

042114WEB_thankyou

I used the flower images from Doodle Flowers and a simple sentiment from Pretty Peonies. I created the background by cutting three strips from different colors of paint chips; I stamped the images with Versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Quite simple and easy to make 😉 I added some details with Glossy accents and a few stitches along the bottom of the card.

Now is time to announce the name of the lucky winner of the Aspen Believe  stamp set by HA/BG. According to Random Org the winner is:

That means that # 7 is Sue Speck!

She said this; “Storage is indeed the name of the game and I too was inspired by Jennifer’s solutions. Her method for die storage is along similar lines and I’ve used her idea for my labels and tags and banners, as they are among my most-used dies. The rest of my collection is stored in CD binders I got from Staples. These are compact and handy and will hold all of my dies except for long borders and the largest “Grand” dies. These I keep in a binder on magnetic pages inserted into page protectors. Very compact and easily retrievable.”

Congratulations Sue!…Please send me an email with your addy ASAP :D  so I can send you your stamp set right away! :) (Please use the CONTACT tab above to send your message)

Happy Friday, everyone!

I am back today to share a card using some Jane’s Doodles stamps sets…

031414web_thankyou

I used one of the images included in Random Patterns and four different colors of Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey and Pumice Stone) to create the background. The little birds are from two different sets: Double Trouble and Jungle Baby, and I colored them with Copics colors that matched the colors of the background 😉 The sentiment and text bubble are included in Attached to You. I added glossy accents and sequins to complement this cute card.

A Scrapbook Page [Always Pawsitive]

Hi there!

I am back today to share a Scrapbook page… oh yes… you read right! There is nothing that a little bit of pressure can’t  make me accomplish… Lol. I based my layout in one of Becky Fleck’s fabulous sketches from the PageMaps blog (click HERE to see it), and I created a page of my sweet  and furry Shelby…

012314web_alwayspawsitive1

I am not very good at writing, specially in English…lol… But I always try to do my best. I write in English, because in the future the ones who will read my pages will be my sons, or maybe their children… I am not sure about that, but that is what I would like to happen 🙂  Anyway, this is what I wrote: “Shelby is always looking forward to enjoy whatever mother nature has reserved for her. She faces each day pawsitively. Snow or rain will never stop her from going outside for a walk. She loves her walks, even if they are short ones.”

012314web_alwayspawsitive2

I used patterned papers by Recollections, and I added a bunch of yummy sequins, some buttons, doilies and other random embellishments.

012314web_alwayspawsitive31

I created the title, and tags  using Illustrator and I cut them with my Cameo. It was fun to make this page, specially because I loved the pictures of my Shelby.

Now is time to announce the giveaway winner….Yay! According to Random Org the winner is:

Screen Shot 2014-01-23 at 8.17.32 PM

That means that # 1 is JANIS!

She said this; My favorite furry friends would be my 20 cats…..yes, 20. Ha. And they are all rescues!! Only a handful of them live inside, but they are all my babies and I love each of them. Fortunately, hubby is a vet and we live out where they all have lots of room. And……we don’t have a mouse problem! :) Love these pretty packs of sequins!! They looks so dazzling in all their shiny sparkliness. Thanks for the chance to win.”

Congratulations Janis!…Please send me an email with your addy ASAP :D  so I can send you your sequins right away! :)

Thanks so much for participating and for sharing with me  about your furry friends, it was fun to read about them!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  :D Hugs to all!

A HA Card + Giveaway Winners

Hi!

I had a great end of the week… talented Virginia  and husband were visiting Chicago, and I had the chance to go and meet them . My husband also came along, so it was great to talk about our common hobbies… While Virginia and I were talking about CARDS…, the boys were talking about CARS 🙂 How silly, right? Anyway, we had a good time… I love that wherever Virginia goes, she meets her crafty-internet friends 🙂 Thanks Virginia and John for the chocolates and the great time!

imagedownt2

Well, I dont’ want to make this post too long. So here is a card that I created using a set called  Year Round Sentiments by Hero Arts.  I also used a background cling stamp called True Friends by HA.   If you see your stamps as a little investment, I think the background stamps are the ones where your money has been well spent. You can use them over and over again and I think, in my humble opinion, that it does not matter that they are not new or trendy…. So don’t hesitate to buy them the next time you find them in the clearance section of your favorite craft store 🙂 For this card, I used the background as a subtle image, and the sentiment and star images were simply stamped with black ink. To embellish my card I added decorative tape, and Stickles…

Now is time to announce the giveaway winners….Yay! Here the numbers and names…. Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 3.14.37 PM

#14  belongs to Patricia Swagler!!!!

Congrats Virginia and Patricia, please send me your addy by email using the contact tab above. So I can send you  your prize right away!

Thanks for stopping by, also for sharing with me and with everybody about your favorite craft stores. Too bad that many stores are closing their doors, which makes me think that the internet will soon be the only choice to buy some of my favorite craft supplies.

Have a great rest of the week!

Jane’s Doodles Giveaway Winner :D

Hi everyone!

I went to Mexico… twice in a row 😉 So those trips minimized my craft time to zero! I had the chance to spend a fabulous week  with my mom and sister on my first trip, and then my husband and I flew down for a long weekend 🙂 I came back very happy but tired at the same time, but oh well, life is short and we have to take advantage of the opportunities we have along our journey, right? Anyway, I just want to announce the name of the lucky winner of the JD stamps sets :)  According to Random.Org, the winner  is….

“Mariana, I love your pretty card!  Green and pink are so nice together!  I made a variety of cards, not necessarily all one color theme.  However, I tend to stick to the traditional red and green on white!”

Congratulations Judy!…Please send me an email with your addy ASAP :D  so I can send you your stamps! :)

Thanks so much for participating and for sharing your color combos with me!

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week! Stay tuned, I will be back with another giveaway soon!
