FSJ Stamp of the Month: Sprinkled With Love

Hello, hello! As you all know, the beginning of each month at FSJ always means that it’s time to release a brand new Stamp of The Month. So, this month’s stamp set is called Sprinkled With Love  and let me tell you that it is a treat to create cards with it.

Who would say “no” to a donut?… Not me! This adorable set features delicious donut images as well as a super cute Unicorn and of course some sentiments.

All the images included in this set are deliciously perfect to create cards, tags, cupcake toppers, etc. I particularly like the cute unicorn image which is so fun to color. This time I used Splash Watercolor Pencils to color the images and Journey Glaze + Sparkle Cuts to make them even yummier!

I used the Decorative Hearts Die Set to die cut a heart shape to use it as a paper doily, and as one would expect I used the coordinating die set to die cut the donut. To finish up this card, I included a sentiment and some Sweet Candy Drops.

Please be sure to click >>>HERE<<< to see more details about the SOTM as well as more delicious inspiration.

FSJ • USA Land That I love!

This is just a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Memorial day and to share a card that I created using a fabulous Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called Old Glory, which is perfect to create project for important days like today or the 4th of July:

The color combo that I used for today’s card is Pool Play, Catalina Splash, Candy Apple and Whip Cream. I created a simple background with the word “Liberty” and I placed it diagonally over a folded card. I also stamped the stars and stripes strips and placed them over the background. I die cut a couple of circles from Whip Cream cardstock, and I stamped the sentiment over one of them.

I stamped the different elements over Whip Cream cardstock and I die cut them with their matching die. I arranged them over the card and I finished it up with Sparkle Silk, silver pearls and a red star dot.

Well, I hope you all have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, and maybe can attend to a parade or event to honor the brave men and women who have died serving our country.

Hero Arts Anniversary Blog Hop • Day 1

Welcome! Today I am thrilled to be joining a fun Hero Arts Blog Hop that celebrates the launch of the 2019 Summer Catalog as well as the 45th Anniversary of Hero Arts in the crafting industry! So exciting!

This is a three day event in which each day a different group of talented crafters will be sharing projects using products from the new catalog. Please be sure to visit the Hero Arts store to see the new catalog as well as all the new amazing products!

As part of this celebration, I created two cards using a stamp set called: Curious Cat, which is absolutely adorable!

The images were stamped with Intense Black ink and then colored with markers. I die cut the images with their matching frame cuts, which are also available at the Hero store. Additionally, I created a subtle background with a stencil, ink and a sponge dauber, and I finished up this card with some twine and clear dots.

For my second card, I used a different cat and fish images that are super cute too. This time I stamped the fish bowl using Soft Sky ink and then I colored the water with markers. I colored the images with markers as well, then I adhered the fish over the bowl image with foam tape.

After that, I stamped the bowl again over a clear acetate with StazOn Jet Black ink , and then I die cut it with its matching die. I added a drop of Glaze over the fish and I placed the clear bowl over the fish. Then, I simply arranged the cat to complete the cute scene. The final touches for this card were, a white-embossed sentiment, washi tape and some dots.

Hero Arts have gathered some fabulous prizes from some industry friends and partners for this hop, so take a look of the amazing list of sponsor and prizes:

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Natural Dreamer

The new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of The Month is called Natural Dreamer and it showcases pretty whimsy images that are just perfect to create fabulous projects. So, today I am sharing a card that I created with this set:

I began by stamping a Lace background image over a Watermelon Fusion cardstock panel with Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink. Then, I adhered the panel over a Sweet Berry folded card.

The focal point was created by Stamping the image over a Whip Cream circle with Sweet Berry True Color Fusion ink. Then, I white-embossed a second image over vellum. After that, I placed the embossed image onto the Sweet Berry image a bit off center to create a shadow effect. With the image on the right place, I made some pencil marks so I could die cut the vellum into a circle slightly bigger than the one below. I adhered the two circles together with a few glue dots (placing them where they were not going to be noticeable).

The rest of the card was simple: a white-embossed sentiment over a Black Licorice strip and matted with a gold strip, Gold Fashion pearls, a heart shaped clip and some silk.

FSJ Easy Breezy Spring + Sneak Peek

Easy Breezy Spring is the name of the new wonderful collection that Fun Stampers Journey will be releasing today April 26th and of course you are invited to join us for a LIVE Launch Party, from 3 to 5pm Pacific Time.

If you are not familiar with the FSJ Parties, I have to say that they are a lot of fun. FSJ will be presenting the whole new collection and along the show they will have project demos, bundles for sale and GIVEAWAYS! You will find the Launch Party on the FSJ YouTube channel, on the FSJ Facebook page , or on the FSJ store.

So, as part of this event, I am sharing a project that I created with one of the sets included in the collection: Cute Boots, take a look…

For my project, I created a simple but fun background using Lovely Blue Liquid Color and Sparkle Silk. I put a some drops of liquid color over the Gel Press and I spread it with a brush, then I picked up the color with a Whip Cream panel. Additionally, I sprinkled some Sparkle Silk over the blue background. Once the panel was completely dried, I adhered it over a Tin Pail folded card. I want to point out that the Sparkle Silk is one of my favorites products because it gives just the perfect sparkle touch that projects need to make them stand out!

Next, I stamped a base image over Whip Cream  cardstock, and I fussy cut it with scissors. After that, I stamped the image again over different colors of cardstock, and using my scissors I cut details of each color, and then I glued them over the base image. The piecing technique is one of my favorites because it will never disappoint you!

To finish up this card, I stamped the sentiment over Whip Creamcardstock and then I die cut it using a cloud shaped die. I adhered the cloud and main image onto the card using foam square. Simple, simple yet very pretty!

SB Sunshiny Day Card Kit

A few months back, I received the Sunshiny Day Card Kit to complete a couple of projects for Spellbinders, and let me tell you that I was very pleased with what I could accomplish with it. It doesn’t really matter if you are a beginner or an avid card maker, the SB card kits are super fun to play with, and they will keep you busy creating for hours. The box that I received was full of products that I could use to create at least ten cards. Take a look:

This particular kit includes: 10 Cards & 10 Envelopes, 7 Sheets of 8.5 x 11” Paper/Cardstock, Set of 14 Dies, 6 x 6” Paper Pad, Pack of Die Cut Shapes, Epoxy and Foil Stickers, Clear Stamps, Sequins & Flowers, a Roll of Adhesive & Foam Dots.

So after I finished a couple of projects for SB, I ended up with a barely used card kit. Therefore, a couple weeks ago I went to a scrapbooking crop, and I brought the card kit with me . I planned to use only the products included in the kit and complete as many cards as I could. These are the projects I created:

The patterned papers are beautiful, the colors coordinate perfectly with the cardstock and die cut shapes included in the kit. As you can see, in the die cut shape package you get more than one of each shape, which in my opinion it is great, because you can duplicate your project or use the same shape in different projects!

The kit includes a stamp set and a die set too. I used a sentiment from the stamp set and I also die cut a cute starfish from the yellow cardstock provided. I also made the base cards from the purple and black cardstock included.

I was impressed with the amount of die cut shapes included in the kit, because after I finished all my cards, I still have many left over that I can use on more projects! On the second card, the Birthday sentiment (underneath the happy die cut sentiment) is not included in the kit.

For these two cards, I used two cute cars which are my favorite die cut shapes, and I included a few Epoxy stickers which are such a great detail for any card.

Another great product included are the Puffy Foil Stickers…. they are just great and they look amazing! I really had a fun time at the scrapbooking crop creating with this card kit.

Well, these are all the projects I created and the left overs from my kit…. pretty good, Don’t you think? I can still take advantage of my stamp set and my die set that I barely used…. I might do a few more projects with them soon!

I would like to point out that currently there are many beautiful card kits available to chose from, but you also have the option to sign up for the Card Kit Club, which is a monthly subscription, and that means that each month you will get a brand new kit at an incredible price. Please click >>>HERE<<< to read more details about it.

FSJ Stamp of the Month: Fresh Start

April has just begun, so that means a brand new Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month has just been released. This new stamp set is called Fresh Start. I love that this set features a bunch of flower images that are perfect to color using any of your favorite techniques. The sentiments included are also beautiful and just right for Spring.

For this card, I used Liquid Colors (Lemon Drop, Limeade Splash, Orange Creamsicle, and Sweet Pear) to create a fun background over a Whip Cream  Panel. I adhered this panel onto a Lemon Drop folded card. After that, I stamped the images with Black Licorice ink over Whip Cream  cardstock. I used a brush to color the images with Liquid Colors as well, and then I fussy cut the shapes with scissors.

Next, I adhered a piece of polka dot washi tape over a Whip Cream  long strip of cardstock , and I trimmed one of the ends to make it look like a long banner. I also die cut a hollow circle from Lemon Drop cardstock, and I used it as the frame for my bunch of flowers.

Last, I white-embossed a sentiment over Black Licorice cardstock, and I die cut it into a circle and I adhered it onto the card using foam squares. To finish up this card I added some sequins and glitter gems. I loved the color combination I used, so here you have it:

FSJ SOTM • Some Hearts Understand…

Hey friends, months are flying and before March ends, I want to share another card that I made using the FSJ Stamp of the Month of March: Good Places.

This is a layered card using a River Stone folded card, a Tin Pail cardstcok panel, a Pool Play rectangle and a strip of Whip Cream Sparkle washi tape as the base for the main components of the card. The focal point of this card wast the pretty windmill that I stamped with Rustic Rose ink over Whip Cream cardstcok. Then I die cut it with its matching die.

I also used the Bunch of Hearts die to create a Fresh Sage rectangle and then, I adhered it over a Whip Creamrectangle. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Ink over a piece of Whip Cream cardstcok and then I die cut it into a heart shape. I arranged and I adhered the pieces over the card front using glue dots and foam squares. Last, but not least, I included a Heart paper clip and Fresh Sage tiny bow and some Sweet Candy Drops. Quick and easy as you can see 🙂

Next week we are starting a new month, so that means a new SOTM will be released!!! Please stay tuned for that, a beautiful set and lots of inspiration will be shared though out the month.

FSJ SOTM • We Rise Up By Lifting Others

Hello, hello! I have a quick post today just to share another idea of a card using the Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month: Good Places.

For this card, I chose to make a mixed background using some paper scraps and a soft tones color combo. I used a piece of gingham printed paper from the Good Life Prints collection along with a couple of Banana Cream and Tin Pail rectangles. I embossed the Tin Pail rectangle with the Tiny Dots embossing folder just to add a bit of texture. I adhered those pieces over a Whip Cream folded card, and I also added a border detail (Tin Pail cardstock + Pocket Trims Die Set).

Using Black Licorice ink, I stamped the sentiment over a tag shape (Whip Cream cardstock + Special Day Tags die set) . Then, I stamped the windmill on Tin Pail Cardstock with Chambray Shirt ink, and die cut it with its matching die. Next, I white embossed the heart image and die cut it as well. After that, I arranged the tag, windmill and heart over the card, and I adhered them using glue dots and foam squares. Last but not least, I embellished the card with some pearls and some rhinestones.

Good Luck Cards + FSJ & SB Online Warehouse Sale

Hello friends! I have a couple of projects to share today. The month of March is literally flying by and I  can’t believe we will be celebrating St. Patricks Day this weekend! Do you celebrate it? Well, we are not Irish, but I think it is fun to pretend we are and wear something green that day, or have the excuse to make a card to give it to a friend or family member, don’t you think?

Anyhow, as I said in the beginning, I created two cards for this Irish day featuring an ATS stamp set called ExtraLucky and the Lucky Clovers Die Set.
If you have seen some of my projecst before, you should know that I love creating backgrounds with Liquid Colors, so I created one using my JourneyGel Press, Limeade Splash and Sweet Pear Liquid Colors, a brayer along with a Whip Cream cardstock panel. The steps are simple: 1)  Apply liquid colors over the gel press, 2) Spray a bit of water, 3) Spread the colors with the brayer, 4) Pick up the color with the cardstock panel, and 5) Let it dry.

Once the panel was dried,  I adhered it over a Limeade Splash folded card. Next, I stamped the sentiment over it with Black Licorice Ink and I added Journey Glaze over the words (I always love using it to make the sentiments stand out).  I have to say that this product doesn’t take too long to dry, so that is why I like it a lot!

Next, I die cut a clover from Kiwi Slice cardstock. I continued my project by adhering the clover over the card front with foam squares. To finish up this card I used Black Licorice Silk, some green sequins and Lemon Grass thread.

For my second project, I used the Note Pocket Die to create a Sweet Pear cardstock pocket for a small card. After I assembled the pocket, I adorned it with a couple strips of Journey tape and a clover that I die cut from Limeade Splash cardstock. Quick and easy!

Then, I created a folded card from Whip Cream cardstock, and I stamped some Sweet Pear clovers over the card front and a sentiment with Black Licorice ink. As always, I also added Journey Glaze over the words to make the sentiment shine!

I flicked some Gold Silk onto the card and I embellished it with some gold sequins. Finally, I tucked the card into the pocket and I added a clip and Lemon Grass thread bow to finish up this card.

Well, today I also want to share that currently Spellbinders and Fun Stamper Journey are having an…

This sale includes lots and lots of products that you can get for $1, $2, $3, $5 or $10 …. Papers, inks, dies, embellishments…. and much more! Believe me, these are HUGE savings so please jump over to the shop and start filling up your cart!
