Spread Joy Not Germs Blog Hop

Welcome!

I am happy to be participating in this Blog Hop organized by Catherine Pooler and Alexandra Stapleton-Smith promoting to spread the Joy of creativeness while we are keeping ourselves safe at home. I know many of you might be helping their kids with school, trying to catch up with unfinished projects or chores, learning something new, or why not? spending some time crafting too.

So for today, I created a card using a digi-image by Catherine Pooler Designs along with other products I had in my stash. This large sentiment is a Freebie, and you can download it from the CP shop. While you are there, please don’t forget to check out all the fabulous products from inks to stamps and dies and all the other great products they have in the shop.

To make my card, first I created a subtle background over a white panel and adhered it onto a folded card. Then, I printed out the image using my printer and I added a glazed finish over the words. I let it dry and after that I fussy-cut around the words. Next, I die cut some leaves and flowers and I arranged them over the background. Finally I adhered the words over the foliage and flowers using foam squares, and I finish it up with some sparkle silk and rainbow drops.

Prizes? Yes, please!

Of course what make Blog Hops even more interesting and exciting are the prizes. So check these out:

  3. Stunning card. I actually don’t listen to much if anything. Maybe a tv in the background for noise. But im not usually paying attention to it.

  4. Oh how beautiful! I love the soft background you created and the dimension of the layered flowers and embossed sentiment!

  5. What a beautiful card! The flowers and sentiment is perfect! Your fussy cutting looks like a perfect die cut shape! Thanks for sharing with us and taking part in this fun blog hop!

  6. Beautiful card! I usually listen to playlists on spotify which range from classic rock to current pop and sometimes I watch/listen to videos of stampers if I’m working on a new technique.

  7. I really like the soft & gentle look of your card. That bit of yellow in the background gives it a restful look & I love the sentiment, especially the way you made it shine. I’m going to check out CP for it. Thanks.

  8. Your card is wonderful. Love how you added the glaze over the free sentiment. We will get through this because we are all strong!!!. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Gorgeous card. I like to listen/watch card and scrapbooking YouTube videos. Not music. Or a Netflix show, while crafting.

  10. I love your colors, and I love the simplicity. I started out card making with just using shapes from my Cricut (the original, before it even had a model name) and various colors, so I still have a soft spot (love, really) for cards that pretty much only use die cuts. Thanks for the inspiration!

  11. I have the beautiful sentiment too! I wonder how many of us actually grabbed it. Better yet, how many used it to spread joy! You did a wonderful job!

  12. This is soooo beautitul!! I LOVE the soft background behind the sentiment!! And the glaze on the sentiment is fabulous! I don’t usually listen to anything when I craft, but lately, I’ve been watching/listening to Watercolor Wednesday videos from Art Impressions Stamps.

  13. DELIGHTFUL card!
LOVE your sentiment and design – WOW – your flowers and inky background really make that wonderful glossy sentiment POP!
Thank You for sharing and INSPIRING 🙂

  14. OOPS – the rest of my comment seems to have disappeared … I listen to music while I craft, I confess, it hits of the 70’s for me 🙂

  15. Beautiful card! I have that digital sentiment and really like how you embellished it. Sometimes netflix but I tend to get into a zone and block everything out. Thank you for sharing.

  16. This is simply beautiful. Yellow shades and black looks so pretty together and feels just like Spring! I love how you added the glaze over the CP digi stamp!!! TFS 🙂

  17. Thank you for participating in this excellent way to encourage stay-at-home! You did a wonderful job showcasing that beautiful sentiment.

  18. Pretty card – I love the arrangement over a muted background. While I craft I like to listen to music: usually the local classic rock radio station, but today I am in the mood for some opera

  19. I just love your card made with the digi stamp. It gives me some ideas to incorporate in my cards (I just finished printing that digi) Thanks for sharing it. It gives me some inspiration. Please stay safe.

  20. I love to listen to rock and roll or top 40’s on the radio while I craft. Beautiful card! Thanks for a wonderful hop and the inspiration!
