Happy Monday everyone!

Today is the release day for the first MMH kit of 2016!  This new wonderful kit will be available TODAY January 4th at NOON (Eastern time) at the Hero Arts store. The kit is available for a limited time only – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

The full kit will contain – two 3×4″ stamp sets, three dies including two paper layering dies, 2 ink cubes, an exclusive mix of sequins created by Lucy Abrams, gorgeous vellum with irridescent speckles, acetate, cards and envelopes. Take a look:

There is also an add-on die set (Valentine word and small hearts) to purchase separately.

So today as part of this exciting release,  I created a card and pillow box using a few of the products included in the kit. I have to point out that this kit is so much fun to play with!  I really liked the dies as well as all the products included, perfect for Valentine’s day and so much more!

I created a card using the heart nested dies as the focal point. First I die cut the scalloped frame on a white card stock panel, and I adhered it over a red card. Then, on a piece of white cardstock, I created the patterned background using different colors of ink and a sponge. After that, I die cut the heart  shape from my custom patterned paper and from a foam sheet (to give the heart dimension). I adhered the heart centered over the white panel. Next,  I die cut the valentine word from black card stock and a piece of black foam. I adhered it onto the heart, and I complemented it with a tiny sentiment. At the end, I added some pretty sequins and gemstones.

I also made a pillow box. I randomly stamped little hearts over a piece of white card stock. Then, I created the pillow box with a punch board. I tied a bow and I added a little heart shaped tag that coordinates with the card.
