A JD Card + Giveaway

Hi!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!  We had a great time with our friends and we also ate a lot, which I believe is something you have to do, right?. Anyway, I wanted to post a card, before yesterday, but I got stuck in the middle of lots of things to do at home before Thanksgiving… Well, I think this card is still good to wish to all of you the best for the rest of the Fall season 🙂 I used a Jane’s Doodles set called: Autumn Blessings. My card is quite simple, and the only thing I did is that I layered the sun flower using yellow card stock, and the leaves and stem with green card stock….

Ah! Today I also have a GIVEAWAY 🙂 I have a two JD sets for one lucky winner: How Sweet and Raindrops. 😀 I have to tell you that these goodies don’t have the fancy JD packaging but they are brand new…. So if you are interested on winning them, please leave me a comment by Sunday midnight (11/25/12) and I will reveal the name of the winner on Monday. You just need to share a bit about your Thanksgiving celebration…. that’s it!   🙂

Thank you for stopping by :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Great card. I have no thanksgiving story to share – we don’t celebrate it here in Australia. I do love these sets though – rain drops has been on my list for a while it jumps in and out of my cart!

  3. What a great card….love the use of cork and the bling. We had a great thanksgiving here with my hubby’s family (my family celebrates Thanksgiving in October since they are in Canada). We always have a huge pot luck style Thanksgiving since there were over 30 adults not counting the kiddies. thanks for the chance to win.

  4. Wow, what a GORGEOUS card!!! Simple but it makes quite the statement–ELEGANT! (:

I had an amazing Thanksgiving celebration surrounded by my favorite family and friends!!! We had SO much food!!! We even had non-Thanksgiving yumminess like piña colada and flan!!! Mmmmm!!! 😀 Then, we all gathered in my cousin’s room and watched the movie “Knight and Day”–it was HILARIOUS!!! (:

  5. This card is so bright and happy! I love it!

This year, we went over to my sister in law’s house for Thanksgiving. It was a lovely time. We usually go to my mother in law’s house but this year my new married sister in law wanted to host which was pretty cute.

  6. love it on kraft and the cork border is fabulous. beautiful card, Mariana! glad to hear that your Thanksgiving holiday was fun. we are going to a friend’s place for Thanksgiving dinner tonight, so i guess we’ll see if we had a good time! =) but it’s always fun to get together with friends and I am really looking forward to it! =) Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  7. I love your work so much. It is always beautifully done. My husband and I don’t live near our kids but my nephew, who is single, drives all day to spend 3 days with us. I cook all of our favorites and we enjoy eating way too much food! These kind of holidays are filled with meaning when spent with family.

  8. Oh I would LOVE to win them! We always make the same thing for Thanksgiving – nothing too crazy: ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and apple pie – and we also buy a pumpkin and pecan pie too. This year I made extra so we could have a second celebration last night when my sister arrived in town.

  9. I think your stamps are wonderful…fancy packaging or not! Love the way you made the sunflower!! I really need to do more of that layering!

We stayed home on Thanksgiving as my husband was ill. But had our own little turkey & fixings and were grateful to have a warm home & each other!

  10. Love the cork! Nothing too exciting to report. Thanksgiving is always a sensitive subject in our Family. My Hubby and I go to separate houses. He goes to his and I go to mine. His Mother is not reasonable so she expects him there every year. It’s not a happy occasion for me, but I try my best not too be sad about it.

  11. Gorgeous card! Love the 3D effect of the flower!
Every year we go to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. We normally have all the kids and grandkids there, but things are starting to change. Grandkids have married and go to their spouses family dinner, and 1 group stays home regularly now. Final picture … we all fit around the dinner table vs. having 2 tables … and it was very quiet and relaxing. The beautiful weather was a lovely plus!!

  12. Hi Mariana! I loved your blog! I talked with you a few times when you came in to the Gurnee Archiver’s store (I worked there, but not anymore). Your cards are gorgeous! I’ll be signing up for sure. Anyway, my family did something totally different this year: my husband & I took our 4 kids on the train at 5am downtown and we went to the McDonald’s Thanksgving day Parade! It was so awesome. We might so it every year and bring the grandparents with!

  13. Wonderful card…love the layered sunflower! Thanks for a chance to win some wonderful Jane’s Doodles goodies…I have a few sets on my Christmas wish list! This Thanksgiving we went to my Uncle-in-laws house and had a wonderful time eating, eating, and socializing!

  14. Love your sunflower card! The cork is the perfect touch with the earthy colors and Kraft card stock. Thanksgiving was a blessing this year with just my husband and I enjoying some much needed time together.
